As a new patient I filled out all the insurance and health forms when I got there. I was taken for x-rays and went to the desk to schedule the next visit. It was then, after the X-rays, that I was informed that you don't take my insurance. Now I get a bill for $362.80 for x-rays that never should have been taken. I don't think I should be charged for these X-rays because of an employee's failure to do her job and check information submitted. read more

----STAY AWAY from this place. As the matter of fact try going anywhere else other than Dental Associates. Unfortunately my insurance makes me go there. I came in for cleaning. They recommended doing a treatment that was supposed to be a simple two appointment procedure. Well it spiraled into 3 months of appointments 2 different dentists and still no real resolution. God forbid you need an emergency fix, for an office their size you would think they would have an emergency service. They give dentists certain amount of time and they will hurry to get you done. Last time I had a minor complication the doctor shuffled between me and a dude in the next cubicle forgetting who needed what. I would rather go pay full price at a family dentist then visit these amateurs again. read more

This office is great. I really like it better than the one in Kenosha. It's more roomy. My dental technician and doctor are great. I tried a private practice in Kenosha years ago and was not happy at all. So, for at least the last 15+ year's I have been going to Dental Associates. Sometimes I've had work insurance. Other times, I have relied solely on the insurance sold there. Both have worked well for me and my family. read more

Truly the poorest dentist office I have ever been to. I started going here because it was less expensive than dentists in the past. What they didn't tell me is that most of their dentists are part time. In the year I was there, I saw 8 different dentists. Scheduling was almost impossible, because their dentists kept quitting. I had a chipped tooth that eventually had to be pulled because I couldn't get in to see any of their dentists. read more

These have to be old reviews cause of 9/2018 I have been there many of times since then as well as my husband and back in 2017 and they have been amazing and very nice we are perment residents there since they have done amazing even got me asap they are busy @susanR. but only cause they are amazing if want something cheaper go to Familia Dental where I went my mouth was brutally filled and was in such pain couldn't few for days this is one in Sturtevant but one in Kenosha yeah that one not one like one in Sturtevant in fact I said no way I rather wait then got there!! So don't judge all them one in Kenosha gives them bad rap :( read more

I saw two separate doctors here. Both did terrible work. One placed an bone graft for an implant. Kept telling me to come back because "it's not done healing". I knew something was wrong when he told me to come back in three months and his secretary wouldn't let me make the next appointment (she said the schedule "wasn't done" for three months out?? But that was never a problem before). I went for a free consultation with another doctor at a different office a week later to see why this doctor was acting so weird and the new dentist told me that the implant was done wrong and is poking through my gums! I don't have the money to fix it and no return calls from the dental associate's Doctor. I wouldn't go back anyway because obviously that's a terrible mistake and a terrible way to treat a patient. But I have a bone graft poking through my gums now and estimated extra $5000 to fix it. Apparently it will cause infection in my whole jaw. Wondering when he was going to tell me that!!! The other Doctor I saw placed a crown on a back molar and couldn't get the bite right so he filed down ALL my molars. Chewing on that side is terrible, like mashing with a blunt instrument. If you want an implant or implants BEWARE OF DENTAL ASSOCIATES. If you need a filling or crown BEWARE OF DENTAL ASSOCIATES. If you need cleaning, they seem ok. Gave them one star for that. read more

DON'T DO IT!!!! My dentist told me i "might" need a root canal, so I requested an IN NETWORK endodontist referral from my ins co. I was given Dr. Breecher's name and was able to get an appointment for a consult quickly. They could not see anything on x-rays or definitively determine my problem (sensitivity) but said i 'could probably use a root canal'. (WHAT??) They quoted me the same patient fee that my ins co had quoted me as the contracted fee. I did not end up having the procedure done due to 1) Scheduling issues - the Dr had practically no availability and 2) I honestly don't think i need it. Which was a good thing because I ended up embarking on a BILLING NIGHTMARE which ensured that I would NEVER step foot in a Dental Associates EVER again. At the office i was told that there would be no charge for the consult because it is covered by insurance. However, they then mailed me a bill for the difference between the ins co's 'allowed' amount and their billed amount. I wasted much time calling their billing office & my insurance co multiple times. My ins EOB arrived in the mail and said there was no patient responsibility, and the c/s reps also told me that the dentist is contractually obligated to write off any fees above the 'allowed' amount because they are IN NETWORK. D/A billing office told me that they are not in my ins network, then in a different conversation, said they ARE in-network, but i still have to pay the difference anyway. i verified w/ins co that NO, i do not owe any balance. Eventually, i wrote a long letter with EOB attached telling D/A that they needed to resolve the issue with my ins and cease to send me more bills. i ended up getting a response from them saying that they have cancelled my balance "as a courtesy", but just so I know, they are not in my ins network. A few days later, I received a letter they are sending my bill to collections. More phone calls ensued... in the end i did not have to pay them the balance, but it was a total horror story sorting it all out. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS DENTAL OFFICE TO ANYONE. They are clearly incompetent and/or dishonest. read more

What a train wreck! My wife and I scheduled our annual cleaning and exam. I put a turkey in the oven before we left. BIG MISTAKE! What should have been a simple one hour appointment turned into a three hour appointment because the dentist wasn't available to consult with me. When he finally did I had to rush out to get my ruined turkey out of the oven. Consequently I didn't get an estimate for my teeth. The assistant was going to email it to me. A week later and I still didn't have it. I called and found out she sent it to the incorrect email address. I gave her the correct email and wait. I get it and reviewed the estimate, had a question about their additional insurance. She then revises the estimate but now the estimate is higher than the original (exclusive of the additional insurance) I called and her explanation made no sense at all. We then went to a competing clinic and need the same assistant to email HIPPA forms to us and once again she tried to email to the WRONG email address. Never again! read more

Went to Dental Associates in Sturtevant Wi because my insurance no longer covered my long time family dentist. After my exam I was told I needed $1200 of work. I found it odd since I do go for cleanings, (just not there) and I have never had any problems. I pard $20 for my X-rays and went to our family dentist. I thought maybe he could do the work because he is willing to let me pay in installments. My Dr said he could not find one bit of decay on my xrays or in my mouth! I guess I was supposed to just believe the dentist at Dental Associates and have them drill my mouth for nothing, or I should say for $1200! I am so glad I got a second opinion, and will not be visiting them ever again. read more

Dishonest Office! I am in pain! I was told I needed to be seen by an Oral Surgeon for an impacted canine tooth that could be touching my main nerve in the left side of my face. I called Dental Asso. in Sturtevant so I could use the Care Plus Insurance as I know that helps since I do not have Dental Coverage, only Medical. I spoke with a person name Kim in great length to be sure I was getting the right care if I came there. Since I was knew it was more of an extensive procedure being so close if not touching the nerve I needed a 3D xray taken. Of which I also discussed all of this with her. Also, I have sever TMJ on the right side of my face so I needed a Doctor that is experience with all of these issues. I was totally assured a Dr. Chow would be my best option as it was put to me "he was the most delicate' Dr when doing surgery and would take his time to be careful." OK, after speaking with this person that I thought was very understanding of my needs and getting an estimated amount that it would cost which was reasonable compared to other surgeon's quotes I was relieved to find what I thought would be help soon. They made the appt and she asked me if I had any xrays or a referral to please fax it to the office prior to the appt. (I did from Aspen Dental so I sent the copy). OK.. day of the appt. I was met with a woman that said she needed to speak to me first. I was expecting the xray to be taken first but she insisted we sit in the room to talk. OK... my radar was up. She said they were confused as to why I was there as Aspen sent a referrl/xray with no notes! I explained I spoke in totally great detail with the appt. setter of which she checked and saw the woman made no notes on my file!! Seriously? She mentioned she would make sure the dr would know about my situation. Big lie. Then she continued to explain that the xray machine was not even there at that office so they could not offer that at the time... (it was in another location). Then she seemed very concerned that the DR could even do the procedure at all as he was a gum dr!! Say what?? You can imagine my shock to learn I was sitting in an office knowing by then that I was not getting the help that was promised. To make matters worse she admitted they knew this and was GOING TO CALL ME before I arrive but decided to bring me in to talk instead!! What a scam!!! By bringing me in to 'talk' could have resulted in a near 100.00 consult fee!! I caught on to that right away and told her if the DR was not trained in my case then not to bring him into the room (she was on the way out to get him), because I was not giving 1 CENT to this made up consult. She admitted she didn't know if he had the education for my case that she would have to 'ask the dr'... I wanted an experience DR and they set me up with a Gum Dr.. (oral surgeon that worked on gums she said). I sat in the chair for 15 minutes while she left and decided to get up and leave. I found her leaning on the wall in front and she explained the DR. refused to see me and she was waiting for her manager.. unbelievable that they just left me to sit and the DR. himself didn't at least come and apoligize for the confusion.. and of course say he was not charging for the TOTAL WASTE OF MY TIME! I told them again.. DO NOT SEND A BILL I AM NOT PAYING FOR THIS TOTAL CRAZINESS and walked out!!! STILL IN PAIN!! It's been almost 24 hours later and thinking perhaps the Office Manager may have at least called me to offer sincere apologies to this totally awful experience and scare I had to think I was set up to be with a DR that wasn't qualified. It is scary enough to go into a Dental Office and worse when you are in such need to be relieved of pain.. but it's terrible when they trick you to come in knowing they are setting you up to try to get a high consult fee from you when they can't or won't do anything.. DO NOT GO HERE... !!! SAVE YOUR TIME, MONEY, AND ENERGY LOOKING ELSEWHERE!! read more
