I recently graduated from the Dental Assistant Training Center. I am beyond happy that I chose this school to help me achieve my goal in the dental. Having a small class size with several instructors was beneficial with ensuring we felt confident with becoming a dental assistant and applying our newly acquired skills in the onsite clinical facility. The school is set up just like a dental office, giving us the daily experience of a dental office from day one. Having a wide range of instructors including dental assistants, hygienists and dentists on staff makes the school even that much better. We begin practicing on each other the first day class by learning how to properly polish teeth, sterilize the instruments and overturn the room. Each day is exciting and new---we began with lecture over a specific topic and then finish our day with the hands on portion in class. The last several weeks of class are spent in the clinic assisting on actual patients chair side with the dentist and hygienist doing a variety of procedures. Those were my favorite days and really helped me feel confident. One of the best parts of the entire program is the Lead Instructor and Director of Education Danielle----it is clear from the moment I met her during my tour of the school that she has a true passion for instructing and throughout my training she would go above and beyond to ensure I was fully prepared to be a dental assistant. She is available after hours fro questions, support and additional practice. She also helped me prepare my cover letter/resume and assisted with helping me obtain a job as an orthodontic dental assistant before I even graduated. There are not enough wonderful things I can say about this school, the thorough hands on training, the kind supportive knowledgeable instructors, and the dental setting for classroom instruction. If you are considering attending a DENTAL ASSISTING PROGRAM---this is the best place you could choose. This school is amazing! Danielle, the owner and lead instructor, has an obvious passion for her craft and obviously loves to impart her knowledge onto students. Her enthusiasm and patience makes it easy to fall in love with the field of dentistry. I like most people, was hesitant to invest a few thousand dollars into a school that i knew virtually nothing about and as a single mother already attending a university, I had no extra money laying around to blow. But after speaking to Danielle who was incredibly down to earth and honest from day one, and touring the facilities I was convinced I was making the right choice. The staff is amazing and friendly, there are good vibes, we have fun learning, we get to work side by side with actual doctors from the first week and have limitless resources.There is always someone willing to come in and help you work on skills on their off days. Now that is dedication. Three weeks into the program, with some encouragement and resume coaching from Danielle, I was on working interviews by week five and hired with no experience outside of the classroom at an amazing and prestigious dental office in Ballard by week seven. When I first started at the job, I was working along side a girl who was in her externship from a different D.A. school that she had attended for an entire year, but was still not as knowledgeable or as skillful as i had become in a matter of weeks at the Dental Assistant Training Center. I was hired before I finished my training and she was not considered for the position after being there for three months. I am currently in school as a pre-dental student looking to get into Dental school soon, and the skills I have taken away from this school are priceless and essential to the real world and this line of work. I was looking into Dental Assisting as my next career move, at first, I went to other dental assistant school, it's also in that area, but I wasn't happy about the way they taught, the class size, the environment, lack of interaction, so I decided to drop out of that school after spending couple classes there, and I'm glad that I found this school, The second I sat down to start my class I was instantly satisfied. The school took place of a very nice dental office, The classroom is neat and clean, the instructors are thorough, and the material is up to date, modern equipments, the course was well organized, explaining everything perfectly, I would say " best school ever", This school has made such a positive impact in my life, it has opened my eyes to a career path I never thought I would have gone on. I graduated from DATC about a month ago, and currently working for a very successful organization of medical and dental clinic in WA. Words cannot be found to describe what DATC has helped me accomplish in couple months, I have not only gained an education, but a real self worth that I never thought was possible for me to obtain. I love my job, I got hire before I graduate, Danielle did a really good job preparing students for the career, she also helps student set up the resume, Danielle is very knowledgeable, her delightful humor makes this challenging material an absolute treat, I love the one on one time I received from her and her staffs . From the moment I met Danielle, I knew I was in the right place:) I wanted a career change and decided upon the dental industry. Danielle walked me through all the steps to get the process going. She is a great communicator, educator, and all around awesome lady. She, Monica, and Trisha are all super knowledgeable and want their students to succeed. The program is an intensive 11 weeks set within a dental clinic, with patient rooms that overlook Lake Washington. It really gives the feel of being in a working office from the lab to operatories. We spend our mornings in lecture and the afternoons are hands on. At first, you get to practice on your fellow classmates. The last third of the course, you get to assist a dentist on actual patients! The curriculum is set up really well with a good balance of hands on training, reading comprehension, memorization, and time for discussion. Danielle has been in the field a long time so she has a lot of great connections. She works really hard to help all of her students find work. She encourages us to explore what fields interest us most and before you know it, your resume has been sent out and you start getting calls from local offices:) In fact, we have just a few classes left this quarter and at least half the students in my class have been hired already! I honestly can't say enough good things about the staff and the school. They care about us and it shows. All three of the teachers are great communicators, which means a lot to me. I've never written a yelp review before, but the Dental Assistant Training Center deserves the highest praise, so I wanted to take the time to write a rave. From my first conversation with Danielle, the school's director and lead instructor, through my final exam, I was impressed and happy with every aspect of the Dental Assistant Training Center. The program is well-designed and thorough, combining classroom lecture and discussion with hands-on laboratory and operatory work. This balance is incredibly successful in helping students learn what they need to know in order to begin dental assisting careers. Danielle and the other instructors genuinely care about each student's success and bend over backwards to help you succeed. They are deeply committed to teaching, and I was amazed at the volume of new information we were able to learn each week. After only 5 weeks of class, I began applying for jobs and was invited for several interviews. I had to cancel one of the interviews because I landed my dream job just 6 weeks into the program! Even though I'm brand new to the field, I applied for jobs that stated "experience required" because Danielle explained repeatedly that many dentists are willing to train the right person. She works hard both to educate her students and to inspire confidence in them. I would recommend this course to anyone interested in working as a dental assistant. If you put in a good effort and follow Danielle's recommendations, you will be successful. Dental assisting is the most fun job I've ever had, and I feel very lucky that I found this school. I wish I could give this school more than five stars!! I did a lot of research about different schools in the area and couldn't be more pleased with the decision to go with DATC. I had an appointment set up with Danielle to speak about the program and tour the school and to my delight I showed up a little bit early and got to see her finish her lecture with the students. The students were laughing, listening intently, and engaged in everything that Danielle was teaching. From that point on, Danielle has created and environment where I wake up in the morning super excited to go to school. Danielle and Monica have ways of teaching that allows for confidence in the lab and in lecture because they have very down to earth teaching styles that connect very well with the students. The class size allows for personal attention and the lab offers a lot of hands on experience. Having school once a week allowed me to work two jobs, go to school and find time to study. Every week we had quizzes and reviews to make sure we understood the material from the week before. Throughout the program, Danielle and Monica went over our resume's with us and before we have even graduated I have already started meeting with potential employers. When they say that they help with job placement, that is one hundred percent true and they work hard to help put you in an office where you can learn and excel. Just finished my final exam for my Dental Assisting program at the Dental Assistant Training Center. WooHoo I did it I received a 99% on my final and a 98% overall. There are so many things to say about this school, but first I want to thank all of the incredible instructors for taking the time to make sure each one of us understood the material we had to learn. The small class size with multiple instructors was amazing, it truly helped us have a lot of time to practice the hands on portion of the class which honestly is the only way to learn how to become a dental assistant. The patient days with the dentist ad hygienist in the clinic were my favorite, it was nice to be able to practice on actual patients with the support and guidance of the instructors. Dr. Mott thank you for taking the time to share with us what dentists are looking for in a good assistant, it was good to hear feedback directly from a dentist and made me feel less nervous about interviewing and starting my new career. I have a job interview with an orthodontist in Ballard next week that Danielle arranged for me and I couldn't be happier because I was hoping to go to work in orthodontics. I recently graduated from the Dental Assistant Training Center at the end of June. I can't say enough about this school and the instructors. The school is in an actual dental office, which provided the students with the daily routine of being at work. The very first day of class we polished each other's teeth, so we could get a true understanding of what it means to get in the mouth. The program is very organized and structured with a deep commitment of knowledge and support from the instructor's. Danielle, the Director of Education, Owner and Lead Instructor is the best teacher I have ever had throughout my years of schooling. Not only, does she provide one on one support to her students, she goes above and beyond to ensure each of us received exactly what we needed to be confident in becoming a dental assistant. The 4 to 1 ratio of students to instructors was very beneficial as well. Danielle has been teaching for 19 years and has large group of people she networks with, which results in several dentists contacting the school looking for assistants. I can't begin to say enough good things about The Dental Assistant Training Center in Kenmore. Danielle and Monica are such amazing teachers, who take the time to invest in their students. It is evident how much they both enjoy teaching, and helping students feel confident in learning new skills. I enjoy that the class is one full day a week, which has allowed to me keep working while I am studying for a new career. Danielle and Monica set me up for success from day one, and believed in me, and had faith in me. It is a joy going to class, and I like that we were literally hands on from day one. In the morning we review previous weeks, have lecture on what we will be doing hands on in the afternoon. Both Danielle and Monica teach in a way where everyone has an equal opportunity at learning, from oral lecture, visual, and hands on. They clearly take the time out of their personal days to help me when I have any questions about the learning material. They also have opportunities during the week to come into the school to hone in on your skills. I am currently in the middle of fall quarter, and have had multiple job offers, and I just accepted my dream job! I am so incredibly grateful for this program and especially the instructor Danielle, along with the help of Monica as well. When i first was looking into assisting school the majority of them were 6 months to a year long, and that didn't interest me at all. And when i found out the dental assisting training center was only 11 weeks i was shocked, and definitely glad that i applied! I took the fall class that met on Fridays and Danielle taught the class extremely well with only meeting one day a week, and she was good at coming in other days if one of us wanted to come in for extra practice. On day one we were looking and working in each others mouths, such as polishing and getting comfortable with each other, so you can guarantee everything is basically hands on, which is awesome!! The course is fast paced and covers a lot of information in just 11 short weeks but nothing nobody can't handle!! And the best thing about it was i had a job before the course was even over, along with most of the students in the class. It took me along time to make the decision to go to dental assistant school. I talked to lots of friends who went to several schools. I chose this school after going in and speaking to Danielle and touring the school. It was the best decision I could have made. I was taught so much by Danielle and not just the text book info but the everyday interactions with the whole office staff. The one on one time I received from Danielle and her support and encouragement helped me succeed. She was able to teach me so much with out feeling like I was completely over loaded with information and homework. After I graduated I spent 8 months looking for a job in my small city. I moved to the west side of the mountains and with Danielle ' s help I found the perfect job with in 8 days! I couldn't believe it after all the time I spent looking she helped change my life! I recently graduated DATC in 2010. I loved the school so much. The instructors truly made me want to learn and come to class and their willingness to help us all find jobs and graduate to the best of out ability still blows me away. They are truly one of a kind and have such a heart for teaching as well as dentistry. This school is hard in that you have to study a lot, but if you put your heart into it you will do great. upon graduation I applied to every dental office in town, and regularly checked for openings. A month later I found a job full time with full benefits, and great pay. I'm not saying everyone will have this luck, but if you search hard you will eventually find something. Don't get discouraged either with people not wanting to hire because of lack of experience (this will happen) just be patient! Also, if you do well in the course you will get a great recommendation from your instructor. Don't be afraid to stay in contact after graduation they are still VERY willing to help you even after you complete the program. I would HIGHLY recommend this course to anyone who is serious about it. It is worth every penny! read more

Let me just start off by saying I love Danielle & Monica so much! They made my whole learning experience so enjoyable and they really go out of their way to ensure that as long as you have the motivation to learn they give you every tool that you need to succeed. Even during COVID with the set backs that we faced, Danielle made sure that she was able to teach us even if it meant having Zoom meetings for a few weeks. I truly believe this program is the best program for anyone who is interested in becoming a dental assistant. I finished my Dental Assisting course today through the Dental Assistant Training Center and couldn't be happier with my choice to attend this school. The best teachers always have a strong passion for what they are teaching. This is why Danielle and Monica are the best teachers that you could ask for. They are kind, patient, and attentive. If you don't understand something they are more than happy to go over it with you again, and again until you understand all of the concepts that they teach. I am so thankful for this school! Only one week after graduation I have received 3 job offers! I normally dont leave reviews for things but I honestly think that Danielle and the rest of the staff deserve to have their work noticed! I took the Saturday class for the Winter quarter and I looked forward to class all week... from the very first day of I knew I loved dental assisting this is the field I want to stay in. Everything was so fun to learn and Danielle is the sweetest instructor. This is such an awesome field to be in, I am so happy I gave it a shot (after now being sure if I would like it). My advise to people like the previous review.... Apply for anything and everything!
