I honestly have no idea why this place is rated only 2 stars! The restaurant was clean, to include the restroom. My bourbon burger and fries were cooked to perfection. And Stephanie was so kind. She kept my drink full and was incredibly nice! If I come back through this way, I will be back! We have waited and waited for refills on drink, our food, etc. I generally like Denny's, but am so disappointed. I think new management may be what this Denny's needs. We (party of 6 adults and a 1 year old) arrived at 11 am on our way to Myrtle Beach. And hour after placing our order, we asked the waitress about the status of our order and we were offered excuses about new cooks and a manager cooking. However, people who arrived after us for their food before us. It took another half hour to receive our order. Once it arrived, the waitress just started throwing the food on the table without making sure we had the right food. We had to strait out for ourselves. When the food finally arrived, it was cold. Let me just say I never thought one lunch would lead to a tradition, but it did. Stopped in for a late lunch and had the nicest waitress ever named Vera. My eggs were perfect, my hash browns and bacon crisp and my drink never sat empty. But the pancakes.... Amazing little clouds of sweetness. I have never had better. I was actually surprised that I enjoyed myself at a Denny's, after ten years of keeping away from them (prior terrible experiences leaving their scars). The menu changes were pleasant, and it might've just been the fact that this one had more southern hospitality than the northern counterpart, but everything just seemed so much nicer. Eggs... I shouldn't of ordered eggs. If they're not absolutely fresh, I have the worst stomach aches from them, and this one gave me just that. But otherwise, the burger I had was good, along with the Cake Batter ice cream shake (I nearly died and went to heaven upon even seeing it listed). If I come back again, more than half of my motivation will be for a bacon cheeseburger and another shake, to keep things simple and happy. read more

Placed an order Togo online, arrived 10 minutes later, despite only having one person in line waiting I waited for the host to acknowledge me for almost five minutes. Finally got her attention she said your orders ready I'll be right back. Thirty minutes elapsed before I managed to finally make eye contact with anyone who was willing to help. I've been coming to Denny's for over 35 years. That's a longer relationship than with my wife! Every time I came here (any Denny's) I got the same thing, the Grand Slam! It was my favorite breakfast place and breakfast food for dinner! And then like all great things, they CHANGED it! Who puts LEMONS in pancake batter? Denny's does! Seriously? LEMONS? In buttermilk pancakes? Yep! And they claim they are getting many compliments so they so they have no plans of changing it back. What a shame. I heard otherwise from local people in the know. It's a very clean facility and their sanitation grade is 97; however, that's basically where my positivity stops. Went there in Saturday morning for breakfast. I was told if wound be 10-15 min wait but actually waited 25 before being seated. Coffee was good but still took waitress 10 min to come to the table and bring it. She didn't write down the order. Another 25 minutes and finally the order came out. Though my husband's was incorrect we didn't bother to correct bc we were hungry and didn't want to wait another half hour. My order was missing the pancakes. Waitress said they would be right out. I got them 15 min after. She asked if I wanted a to go box for them. We had to ask twice to get the check. It really shouldn't take this long. I understand Saturday mornings are busy but this was a bit much Updated ... tried to give it another shot. Don't go here. Just don't. Walked in and got seated. Basic breakfast Grand Slam disappointed. Eggs, bacon, and pancakes were fine (ordered scrambled eggs). Syrup container was oh soooooo slow and completely sticky and gross on the exterior. If Denny's wants to save money on wasted syrup they should switch to measured packets: cleaner, less gross. Sausage was old-looking and dry; had browns dry and overcooked, probably previously cooked on both of those items. Wait staff is friendly but not very attentive. read more

Ordered Dennys through the ubereats apps and it took over an hour and 1/2 (not ubereats fault). Our driver was there around 9am and communicated with us that there was a delay then 1/2hr later we still did not receive our order, driver said she had been there and waiting. so we called the Dennys location and they said they were wrapping the order up in that moment.....they were no where close to finishing our order & bagging it as they claimed, so much so that our driver who was there around 9am left after 10a! Another driver was assigned to the order after 10:45am, and communicated that they were informed they were still waiting on our order because it wasn't ready yet per Dennys communication. Such an inconvenience as it was a family order and now we are left to go elsewhere! Poor customer service, bad communication from this location and major inconvenience. Took 45 minutes make 4 pancakes but I ordered 8. I ordered curbside had to go in. Called 10 times but no answer and they were not bus when they went in. Denny's has improved their menu selection and are attempting better dishes, hey it's Denny's. The fish tacos are good, although the sauce that comes with it tastes commercial. (Malibu? ... it ain't) Omelets? how can anyone mess up eggs? they are standard fare at Denny's, always good. Terrible. Went there for a "quick" breakfast on Sunday. The place was NOT packed at all, so let's get that out there. We were running about 35 minutes ahead of schedule, so my wife and I figured instead of fast food, we would get a "real" breakfast and still be at our destination with time to spare. So much for that. It took over 10 minutes to get our waitress to take our drink order. Another 10 minutes to get our food order. and 30 minutes to get our food. 50 minutes to get a basic breakfast order to us. Scrambled eggs. Sausage. Bacon. Pancakes. If I heard "your order will be coming up in a minute" one more time, I will scream. Again, it's not like the place was packed. There were empty tables all over, it was quiet. Then, to top it all off, the food was bad. Eggs overcooked and dry. Pancakes half cooked. Bacon? Half were burnt, the other half rubber. They got the sausage right, that's OK, I guess. Just finished another FANTASTICALLY DELICIOUS meal from Denny's. You gotta try the slow roasted pot roast, it melts in your mouth. Chocolate chip pancakes with bananas,strawberries,and whip cream. Visited this Dennys with my mother, food was OK. But the workers were VERY inappropriate. Having to sit and eat a meal while listening to the waitresses and cooks play around in the kitchen and front areas made the food disgusting in its self!! The whole place was loud with their banter. I will say this was the best Denny's I 've been to in a while. What made the experience so pleasant was fast service and a very attentive server. She was extremely friendly, energetic and polite. Passing through heading home, stopped for breakfast. Line was long at the door.but the staff was great working together to get tables cleared and people sat in less than 10 minutes. Our waitress Serlena was AWESOME. Very sweet and attentive to making sure our visit was the best it could be. Food was also great, and quick to get to us. I got the original slam breakfast, at 9:30 PM The manager was exceptionally competent and handled a problem with confusion over who was to wait on my table so well I give him an "A". And the waitress also since she didn't realize it was her area, but then took care of me better, I think, than the waiter that was supposed to work that area. Anyway -- I don't know how everything on the menu tastes, but the pancakes, bacon, sausage, eggs, and especially the unsweet tea were all well prepared. Surp was good too.
