My breakfast meal consisted of the 9 hearty grain pancakes, eggs over medium, two sausage links and strawberry banana smoothie. I ordered these pancakes thinking they are a bit healthier. They were fluffy but not much more going for them . The most enjoyable thing was the strawberry banana smoothie. read more

Ate at Denny's yesterday between 8:00 and 9:00 it was me my two kids my wife and another girl we have with us ​ ended up eating had two grand slams my wife had to licking chicken one kids meal and one omelet bit into the sausage taste it funny but I paid it no mind ended up getting home started throwing up and other issues signed a food poisoning several of us ended up sick call the store course they want us to know we want to do they think we're coming back and we're not I will be requesting a full refund I've reported it the sausage was not cooked all the way and I'm still sick today I'm not very happy with Denny's on Mansfield Road in Shreveport Louisiana I don't recommend eating there and I will not eat there again. read more

The service from the greeter(s) and our waitress was amazing! Everyone else ate their food, except me, mainly for the reason of how long we had to wait. Yes. We did have a larger party. But it was because they supposedly only had 2 cooks. Our waitress was cooking on top of serving. So, yes, we were warned of the wait time, but it went over that said wait time. On top of everything, some people from our party heard an employee, or several employees, say that the temperature in this restaurant was set on 75 degrees. I have very bad hot flashes, due to past medical trauma and my medication. But to have the temperature set on 75 degrees DURING mid-end summer, is RIDICULOUS! The employees were so miserable and my party was miserable just sitting here! To add onto everything, I don't know if it's coincidental, but everytime I, personally, go to any Denny's location, it's the same experience. My mom and I eat frequently at this Denny's and I'm finally writing the great review this restaurant deserves. We always go around 2pm so it's never too busy. Parking is excellent! We were greeted as soon as we came in the door and were allowed to choose where we wanted to sit. Our server was Anna and she was a perfect example of a great server. Anna didn't feel well due to allergies but it didn't stop her smile nor her intent to take care of each and every need we had! Her smile and kind demeanor made our experience very enjoyable!. The food was absolutely fantastic!! We both had an amazing salad that was huge and our other food was cooked to perfection! I went to the manager to comment on what an enjoyable experience we had in every way and she was very pleased with my comments so I wanted to send a five star review!! Great spot, we never go to the other two near us because the quality and service is always best at this location. The GM chasity is the best server here and no matter what tables she's serving she always makes sure everyone that eats here is having a good time. Denny's offers very good food at a reasonable price. I've been to this location several times now and have yet to be disappointed. The staff are nice and hospitable. We came from California to visit our family & though we would stop here to have breakfast. We are very happy for the decision we made. The customer service was wonderful & my husband ordered a T-bone steak which he gave me a taste & it was so tender & delicious specially the seasoning. I have been here many times, but have not in the past year. What a difference a year makes! This was on Saturday around 10:30. It was moderately busy. The server was friendly and helpful. The food? What can I say? Mine was disappointing compared to previous visits. Tissue paper thin bacon is very sad to see on a plate. The hash browns were skimpy in portions and all soggy at that as were my husbands. It took a bit to get our toast. I had no idea it took that long to toast a few pieces of bread. Grands ate from the lunch menu and said their food was good. We had a tower of dirty plates on our table and had to repeatedly ask to remove them so the grands could find space on the table to eat their dessert. When heading out to pay, I had to corral the kids to the bathroom and my husband was hollared at to pay there at the pay station as if we were going to dine and dash with having 2 small children with us. Really? I used to like to eat there, and regretfully it was my idea to go to this location instead of IHOP. read more

I see a lot of extremes on the reviews here, love it or hate it and the most common theme is the quality of service. I have been many times. I've always enjoyed the food I've received and most of the time we get our food without too long of a wait. There is a great disparity in the quality of the servers however. I've had great service from Beebee and another lady, mediocre service from a couple others and the worst service possible from Caroline. Caroline wasn't wearing a name tag but I heard Beebee call her that. Caroline appeared hungover from too much late night partying. She wrote the orders wrong on the ticket and portrayed an attitude of indifference. After getting the correct food out to us, she disappeared. We were the only table she had customers at. My son accidentally knocked over my wife's drink onto her food, drenching it. I wanted her food remade and didn't mind paying for the 2nd plate as it was our fault. We kept looking around and waiting for Caroline to appear. After a long wait I finally spoke to Beebee (who we always insist on now) and she got Caroline out from the back. Caroline was visibly agitated with having to deal with it. She was merely going to remove her plate and have more made. I told her I needed either some more napkins, paper towels or a rag and I would wipe up all the tea from the table myself. She grabbed some napkins and proceeded to sop the water up and then lifted the dripping napkins over my son's plate dripping it all over his food seemingly oblivious to what was happening. My wife got her new plate of food and she and I shared with my son. This location desperately needs a manager who will start managing the servers and replace the rotten apples. read more

I haven't been to Denny's in years. My husband and I decided to try it this morning. 4/12/19. I ordered chicken fried steak breakfast with grits. It's 8am. Waiter came back to the table to tell me they have no grits and bought me hash browns instead which I did not request. I told the waiter to tell the cook, I'm a secret shopper, waiter came back to tell me there will be grits in 5 min . Waiter requested the hash brown back after putting them on my plate!without my permission. Looking out of the window the blinds are full with dust and grime. Restaurant should have a day of cleaning. I have been to many different Denny's all over the United States. This one is the WORST for overall customer service. Our server Lacy was super nice, efficient and patient however great customer service is obviously NOT a priority of management for this business. They advertise "kids eat free" on a poster at the front but this location does not participate. They are more concerned with selling kids cups and obviously assume everyone looking at the sign can't read. The cashier's were rude when it was brought to their attention. Take your money to Ihop or Waffle House if you want chain restaurant food. This was not my first bad experience here but it will be my last. read more

When I heard that Denny's was coming back to town I KNEW I was gonna be all over that place like white on rice, like black on black-eyed peas!...I had some business over in this side of town for a whole week, so I hit this place up. I went in early in the morning on a weekday, it was the first meal of my 41st birthday! I had the Grand Slam Slugger (2 eggs, bacon, sausage, pancakes, grits) and it was fantastic!!! Patrick was my waiter and he was quite possibly one of the best waiters I have ever had serve me! Seriously! He was very alert to anything that was lacking and he was funny and quite lively considering the fact that it was early and it was surprisingly slow in the restaurant ('Sup with dat Mansfield Road?...You get a great, awesome, cool restaurant in your area (the only one in this area, after all these years, brand new, and you're gonna leave it empty like that? You better get on that place!) ...Anyway, welcome back home Denny's I hope you stay a long while this time around...And give Patrick a raise and keep him around, he might make a good manager one day. read more
