I've been eating at Windrush since 2018 or so, right after they opened. The last few years, the service and food have been hit and miss, but it hit often enough for me to continue going. Until last week. Took several minutes ( about 5-6) for anyone to approach our table, despite the fact that someone who appeared to be a manager was sweeping next to our table and they were not busy. Ordered a drink and food. The drink was horrible, but the only offer to fix it was to add Bailey's to it ( it was an espresso martini). The food was so-so, not bad, but certainly not worth what we paid for it. Then I got the check, and they had automatically added a 20% gratuity for a party of 2. Live very close to this Resturant and have notice a continuous decline in Food Quality yet price point are still the same. Quantity and Quality have suffered. Ordered seafood and pasta dishes and finding them to be overly salty, smaller quantities and very unpalatable. Very disappointing dinner. First off if you just want appetizers then 5 stars. We had pot stickers, southwest egg rolls and mozzarella sticks. All fantastic. However all 4 entrees disappointed pecan crusted chicken salad had no pecans. The wedge was a chopped wedge and was ok. I had the Swiss mushroom burger and the meat was totally with no flavor as was the Philly. No seasoning. My burger was overcooked. read more

Just a little lunch update....We went to WINDRUSH the other day and had the Chicken Provenance and the Chicken & Waffles with a side of Mac & cheese which the Chicken & Waffles was amazing and the Mac & Cheese was delicious but the Chicken Provenance was ok just a little too tangy on the lemon juice but other than that fair meal great mimosa. The bartender was very friendly and accommodating the environment is very subtle more of a date night look but due to the area it's in it's a family, friends, and neighborhood eatery I enjoyed myself and I will return soon thanks for lunch WINDRUSH ! read more

Windrush Grill in Shreveport deserves all the stars! My visit was everything I hoped for and more. The catfish was perfection--crispy, seasoned just right, and cooked to flaky goodness. Pair it with one of their cocktails (so good I didn't mind accidentally spilling the first one ) and you've got a winning combination. What really stood out was the service. Despite my little accident, my server was patient, kind, and made sure everything was perfect. Great food, drinks, and even better people! Can't wait to go back and try more from the menu. Stopped by at random after a movie date and was very glad I did. We started with the southwest eggrolls, which were delicious. Then got margaritas - you get to pick a flavor add on for 50 cents. I got pomegranate and it was so good. For entrees, we got the grilled pork ribeye and the red fish. The grilled pork was moist and perfectly cooked and seasoned. That peach chutney could go on just about anything. The red fish was also cooked well and seasoned well. The crawfish sauce had just the right amount of heat. The sides (mashed potatoes, broccoli, asparagus, and garlic bread) were all good as well. The service was good. There were sports on at the bar and a few people scattered about but it was a nice, quiet meal. They had good music playing as well. I would definitely spin the block on this one. read more

The food and service here are just "average" in my opinion. I've been to this restaurant 3 or four times now, only because my wife likes to eat here (I still don't see why). But every time I've eaten here, I was unimpressed with both the service and the food. In my opinion, the quality of the food is just "meh". Its about on par with Applebee's or Chili's or something similar. Its "okay" food, but definitely nothing to write home about. For the prices they charge, the food should be MUCH better in my opinion. The service is just "meh" as well. The servers are polite, but slow and somewhat inattentive. Each time we needed a refill or something, we had to wave our arms to get his attention because he was playing or texting on his phone in the corner. The female waitress we had the second time was a little better, but I she seemed neq and inexperienced. She was pretty slow, and "forgot" one of our drinks when she brought the drinks to the table. In my opinion, the service AND food should be absolutely impeccable for the prices this place charges. If they weren't so close to our house, I doubt that we would EVER go back. read more

My husband and I frequent this restaurant quite often as we live in the area. We usually go to have a cocktail or two. The lemon drop martinis are very good. The bartender, Candice is great! The food however is another factor. The bread on the burgers are too much bread, fix the bread to meat ratio. Amazing BUT would've been better if they got my order correct! I ordered a custom turkey burger and fries to go and had my mouth fixed on the customized burger I ordered! I been here 4 times ( I DoorDash them all the time) amazing food great prices... cocktails "to die for" but definitely can cut the tension in the air... whites definitely set on one side blacks on the other each time and the waiters were more attentive to the other tables more then our side. I found the quesadilla burger to be 'just okay'. It really needed the salsa to make it good. But the portion was large enough to make 2 meals for me. The beer i ordered was pretty good. The beignets...amazing! The portions...amazing! I've heard nothing but good things about this spot. We decided to try this place out for brunch. It's a nice spot for any occasion. There's a bar at the center and TVs throughout but it doesn't take away from the setting. The menu has a variety of things to choose from. Service was great. The food was fresh. I placed a To go order and made it clear I had a pecan and peanut allergy. I ordered 2 orders of bread pudding, one without nuts. There were nuts on the bottom and top of both orders. The Chocolate Sack I ordered has no ice cream in it. The res of the order just didn't tastes good. I called and told them about the desserts and just wanted one bread pudding to be refunded. We went out with our grandchildren for a nice dinner and my wife and grandson were going to split the 18oz Ribeye. The waitress brought the food out and dropped it off,after cutting into the steak it looked a little under cooked but after eating some it appeared to be raw. We asked for the manager when the waitress brought out the chef or manager whoever she was(she never gave her name) they were both very rude about the situation, she acted like there was no problem and since my wife and grandson had eaten some then it must have been fine. So I let whatever her name was that we would never be back again. Now we are praying that no one gets sick. read more

So I was concerned when I saw this place wasn't 4stars or higher, but after reading the reviews we realized that the lower reviews are several years old. We asked the waitress and were told they have changed EVERYTHING in the last couple of years. We were VERY impressed. I'll break it down: Gold Rush: delicious if you like honey and lemon, but it is strong! That drink will cure a cold! Crab claws: VERY different from other we have tried! We asked what was in the marinade (some kind of greens) and didn't get much of and explanation- so obviously a "secret sauce" and let me tell you- it ROCKS! Scoop it on the garlic bread that comes with the app and you won't regret it! Perfect amount of garlic and lemon without being overpowering. Meat Pies: These were on the bar menu, not the main menu. Came out piping hot and my hubs was SUPER impressed. I was saving room for the main event. Catfish platter: the pics we saw on Yelp appeared to be little strips. Those must be older pics because that was NOT THE CASE! These were very substantial fillets and served with very tasty fries. Hubs finished the whole plate! Chicken Fried Steak: ok, I have been CRAVING a CFS for about a week now. BOY DID THIS HIT THE SPOT! Unlike some other places, this is not patties out hamburger meat. This is the real deal! And be prepared to EAT! The thing was bigger than my head! Perfectly breaded, and the gravy was the perfect consistency and not overly salty like we've encountered before. I subbed the corn for green beans and they were a great addition to this dish. The red mashed potatoes paired perfectly and I couldn't have asked for a better comfort meal after a 7hr drive! Bread pudding: Hubs got this to go and sampled in hotel room. Too many raisins for me, but he said it was amazing. Hope this helps you out! Also- the wine by the bottle prices are pretty decent! This place was awesome when it first opened. The last few times I have ordered food there has been a problem. I went inside to pick up my order and there were staff standing around looking clueless. It took at least 5 mins for one of them to acknowledge me at the takeout counter. I was in a hurry so I grabbed my food and went home. Once I got home I realized I was missing an app and an entree was wrong. The restaurant is in a nice area and prices reflect such. But the quality and customer service is a bust. You have to wait until the next day to get replacements if your take out order is wrong unless you want to drive up there again. They desperately need a QC system. I doubt I'll be back. read more

We were supposed to grab something from the Mexican resto, but since they had an event, we went to Windrush Grille, per my husband's recommendation. We were seated right away. No waits bec they were not busy. I liked the ambience. We ordered the tuna appetizer, he had the spring rolls as his meal while I had the shrimp & grits and some beignets for dessert. The tuna app was seasoned well, and tasted good. The spring rolls tasted similar to Chili's spring rolls, tasted good. My shrimps were cooked and seasoned well, while the grits were not hot, lumpy and underseasoned. Beignets came out hot. Their version does is different, because it was flaky. I liked it. Our bill came out to $54 with some cents plus the tip. I think it was a bit overpriced for the amount and quality of what we had. Also, the service wqs soooo slow. food- 3 stars service- 1 star ambiance- 3 stars The food was decent, nothing show stopping, the burgers (tex-mex and the hickory) were good, not worth the price. The calamari was okay, probably frozen from a bag before hand which is fine but for 14$ i'd expect something a little fresher. Id say go ahead and skip the chocolate sac, it has a lot of potential to be good but the cake inside tasted old, very dry. The service was extremely slow. We came at 12:20 and the restaurant was maybe half full, a little less, there were 3 servers on the floor a manager and a bartender. So i think that'd be plenty, the manager sat us and after sitting for a few minutes came back and asked if "he" had been over to get our drinks and we said no, so he got our drinks and appetizer order, no biggy maybe our server was busy with other tables. Then we got our appetizer and waited 5 or so more minutes and the manager came back over to get our entree orders. We waited on refills for our waters for quite some time, and mind you the entire restaurant was not half full and it looked as if most of the tables there were paid out. Overall the service was just not great. Then who i assume to be our original server asked if we needed water refills while we were finishing up the burgers, we put in our dessert order with him and then didn't see he him again he paid out our check, which took another 5-10 minutes. I don't know if he was the one that was supposed to be serving us from the beginning but that's what i am assuming, we only saw him twice towards the end of the meal, so either way just not great service. The ambiance of the restaurant was nice, good music and lots of tvs everywhere. Kind of a comedically large bar for the size of the restaurant. The restrooms were very dark. read more
