So, I never eat at Denny's (for all the reasons not to eat at Denny's) but I have to give this place props. I have worked at this particular Denny's ( I will try not to sound biased) first of all nothing there is truly cooked unless you order tbone Or chicken my first week there I noticed a leak in the back I told my manager and shockingly she tells me "oh its been like that for 7 years" theres more to the maintenance list when it rains, as it does a lot in the north west the ceilings leak in the dining area. It's been a while since I've been to a Denny's, and I have to say, my food was good and the presentation was good. The setting/ambiance wasn't much different from what I recall, but it was a fresher look than past visits way back when. Decent service. I had fajitas w/ hash browns, which I guess would be a breakfast diner's variation of the usual Tex-Mex version. For me, at least, the old joke about the only thing that looks worse than the waitresses is the food no longer holds (or is it v-v?). This Denny's did us just fine. read more

We went in Sept 2016 attempting to give locals our business. As we approached the entrance we could see a bit of trash about and the somewhat run down appearance of the building. I thought perhaps they are working on it. Inside, we could see the carpet had not been vacuumed in awhile (it was only 11:30) and had crumbs and whatever all over it. The hostess took us to a dirty table with dirty bench seats. I said could we sit elsewhere then I checked out the numerous available tables and could easily spot that every table had crumbs or debris as did the benches or chairs. I looked at my husband and said I could not eat there. He agreed and with no apology by we left. I gave no stars it could not post the review that way. read more

We own a business in Shelton and eat lunch here occassionally. And I bring my 95 year old mother here whenever she has a dictor appointment. I know it's diner food but it's always been good until today. My Italian sampler was lukewarm to cold. The grilled cheese sandwich was dry, cheese barely melted and not covering all the bread. The new chipotle burger was terrible. Meat was dry, over cooked and smashed down, then everything piled on top ... could not pick it up. What changed at this location? Some servers are still the same and they are great. But the food was terrible. Guess we may be hitting other local places more regularly. read more

Worst service. We sat waiting for our table, while a young woman who worked there sat and stared at us. While we were waiting, she jumped up to help a group of gentlemen who came in after us. We are visitors to Shelton, and although I don't like to jump to conclusions, I also don't like experiencing micro aggressive racism :) worst dennys I've ever been to. read more

Food is like usual Denny's food, consistent and always available. The service is epic. Manager here was very nice. He posted me my credit card that I forgot. Dennys is Dennys. very attractive, Sarah Palin look alike waitress didn't write down our order, she just tried to remember it. I say "tried" because she screwed it up. she also received no tip because of it. sorry, but if you're not gonna take notes then you damn well better get it right. food was as bland as could be, but then again, its Dennys. you want scrambled eggs? that's what you get. nothing but eggs. no onions, no peppers, no nothing. just eggs. chicken fried steak was pretty good, as it always is, which is why I gave it two stars. and, its the only place open for breakfast that early, so we had little other options. wouldn't have gone there if there were other options. read more

Oh my gosh!! Worst food ever!! The only thing I will order from here is French toast! Asked for new bacon because my bacon tasted old and cold , she came back about 5mins later and Said sorry about that here is some nice hot fresh bacon! Went to the Shelton Denny's and waited an hour for our food to get to us. My fries were cold and tasted stale. My mom's classic hamburger had to be remade, which is fine but when it got to our table she had the wrong fries and was told they would bring fresh fries to her. Needless to say they never came. My dad ordered soup because they were out of salad and a side of onion rings. He got 6 onion rings for 5 bucks.. what the hell. None of this would have been a big deal if someone would have come and told us what was going on. It wasn't even like the place was busy it had 6 tables, 6 not 26 but 6. So for us to wait an hour for food that want that good is outrageous. But to top it all off not once did the waitress say I'm sorry you had to wait so long or sorry I didn't bring you frsh fries nothing was said and it cost 41 dollars for a crappy meal. We will not be going back and will tell family and friends not to eat there either. This place has gone to the dogs since the restrictions have been lifted. Don't go there unless you want to pay a high price for disgusting food. read more

Flew in from Dallas TX to stay near by at the super 8 and This Denny's in Shelton was only Restaurant open at 9 pm The cook was whistling loudly and proudly constantly and using cuss words when kids in the restaurant could here like Sh** and F*** H*** the whole time from when we sat till leaving very distracting very rude our server who is gay and was un sanitary with very long finger nails with dirt under them, my wife and I wasn't amused! how ever the food was okay but we wont be back to this Denny's any time soon read more

This is a great Denny's! Always friendly servers, quick service, and they offer a military discount. The food is always hot and fresh, and someone is always coming around to top off my coffee. Can't go wrong here! read more

Girlfriend went in and got a sandwich, the ham had mold on it. Then they still charged her for the food, and didn't replace the moldy ham sandwich. I went there and the burger I got was totally raw in the middle and there were roaches crawling out of the wall. Even if the manager gives her a refund, this is still totally unacceptable. read more

I like Denny's they have decent food typical Denny's food but the one thing I like most about Denny's is that they will let you sit and drink coffee or soda and chat for pretty much as long as you want. The food is pretty standard for Denny's. I have eaten in and got some takeout and the food is consistent. I miss being able to smoke inside but that's been a while since you haven't been able to. read more

I usually like Denny's food and even liked this meal before (Santa Fe Skillet). However, over the past couple months the skillet meal has gotten smaller and smaller... to the point now it doesn't even cover the skillet and if you actually pushed it reasonably together not even half of the skillet! I understand cutting costs, but the majority of this skillet is POTATOES! It is one of the least expensive foods you can serve. Instead, i left quite hungry and disappointed. We wont be going back for a while, $10 for a skillet... I kinda expect it to at least cover the skillet in food. The taste of the meal was great, so ill give two stars for that. read more

We have gone to this Denny's for over 15 years. Long term staff is by far my favorite part of going there! They remember us bringing in our boys since they were in car carriers and highchairs! A Friendly smile, great food and service always! read more

I ordered To-Go online and customized an omelette that came with bell peppers to have no bell peppers. That part was fine. But I requested as a substitute more veggies/mushrooms. Just got back from Denny's Restaurant in Shelton. The food was delicious and very fresh tasting and was ready quickly. They have certainly improved their menu. There was only one waitress on the floor named Penny and a lot of customers but she did a great job keeping everyone happy without looking frazzled. Pleasant experience. read more

Wasn't expecting much and wasn't disappointed. Went in late on Thanksgiving as it was the only place open. Food was bland, service decent, and the ambiance was set by the out-of-shape, forty-something busboy who spent the whole time we were there with his shirt pulled too high, his pants down too low and showing off his electric blue thong.
