Our waitstaff changed daily but each day they were great. They were all very attentive, took great care of our requests for our orders, never forgot anything we asked for, and refilled our drinks before we got low. The cook was the same each day. He cooked and seasoned everything to perfection each day. We got the classics dishes on the meals under $10 deals and I can't believe we were able to get out for about $14 plus tip every day. Eggs, bacon, hash browns, and toast were all very good. The pancakes though....oh my gosh!!!! This is what dreams are made of. The two stack pancakes come out hot and the butter melts beautifully. They are so fluffy and delicious. When you bite into them, they basically melt into your mouth and the slight flavor of vanilla is so good. In a world of fancy brunch and breakfast places, don't pass up Denny's for a home cooked tasting delicious breakfast! This is now my go to when I'm craving pancakes. Delicious!!! Ordered online before going to work. Wasn't busy at all. No one here at the time since it's pick up only. No dine in. Food was ready and I was on the go. I ordered a berry stuffed French toast. Came to work and was about to eat however, there's no berries at all. Thinking the brown bag had at least a cup of berries to put on the French toast but nope. The cup was butter and package syrup. So how can it not be busy at this place around 3am and they can't check the food right before handing off to the customer. This place needs to get their act right and do their job correctly. I ordered the berry and banana pancakes through Uber Eats and my order was delivered withot any syrup for the pankcakes. How the hell do you do that? Pancakes and syrup is pretty simple. I called the restaurant and the guy on the phone apologized and said specialty pancakes don't require syrup. You missed the point phone man. If the order requires syrup or not I ordered pancakes. Shouldn't it be a given that I would need syrup in the bag? Please be more considerate and consciencely aware when packing orders. I have eaten at Denny's on Blue Diamond a number of times and have had very good meals. Unfortunately, today, I had what I would actually call very below par. I gave two stars, because the dinner salad and potatoes were great. I ordered a medium-rare, sirloin steak. The waitress even asked a second time, and I reaffirmed medium-rare. What I got was well done, very well done ... there was no pink, let alone any red -- it was brown and tough. The flavor was nice, well seasoned, but way over cooked. I should have sent it back, but went ahead and ate about 3/4 of the steak, before giving up. By the way ... the waitress was good. As I began, I usually have received pretty good food at this Denny's. This meal was NOT what I expected. I will continue with breakfasts and, perhaps, burgers, but I don't think I'll ever again order a steak. I'm pretty easy going, but I think I should have asked for another steak, for the first time in my life. (I'm 80, by the way ... so have eaten out a lot. The vegetables were over cooked and almost not visible. other than the scrambled eggs and the spinach that I adde. the food was dark brown resembling dog food. We do go here a lot after our walk for our group. Lately the service had been so bad by a lady who's almost screaming at us because she's busy. Thank goodness she's not there yesterday when we went. Instead we were welcomed by Bryan. A tall and very nice and extremely polite your man. He prepped a table for 9 people at the back and he was quick with the menus. We wanted the bill to be per couple and though it maybe harder, he did it without any mistake. He was fantastic. We had all our meals perfectly as we wanted and still HOT which was a bonus. Came by tonight to have some pancakes. I have had a craving for them so tonight to end the week I thought I would have some. Dennys pancakes are generally pretty good. I noticed the pancakes I got didn't have a hole in the middle like the ones I got at the store on rainbow. Which, is better since I get more for my buck. The pancakes were good, nice and hot.
