We got the Turkey Focaccia, peach bbq pork buns and Mediterranean eggs. Everything we had tasted was super fresh and delicious. Their bread and focaccia are also made in house, and the focaccia was soooo good super light, fluffy, and super flavorful. The staff was super quick and everything came out fairly quickly. Overall, everything tasted fresh and yummy, and I would definitely come back. I also want to try their coffee next time. They have a cute little shop connected to the café where you can buy their fresh bread and jams too.

I believe the building is newer, the decor was fancier and I really loved the atmosphere. The menu offers plenty of choice without being overwhelming. They also serve alcohol, and anyone who knows me is well aware of my mimosa obsession. The mimosa here is top notch. My server was Rebecca, such a hard-working and sweet person. The restaurant was busy and she was the only server I saw. If she was handling the whole place by herself, you would never know. She handled those tables like a pro. The computer system even went down shortly after I'd placed my order. The guys at the table in front of me had to wait for their bill, but she was so apologetic and professional. Handled that situation like a pro too. She never missed a beat. I was so excited about the Tex-Mex Benny. I could even get the poached eggs and veggies on a gluten-free buckwheat crepe. It was such a treat. The hollandaise at some places can be too mustard forward, but it is perfectly balanced here. The plate also came with guacamole and crispy potatoes that were tender inside. The breakfast was fabulous, just fantastic and I ate every bite. Both locations were very good, but this one edged the other out in decor/seating/colour scheme of the building and there were more veggies on the benny at this location. But both servers were top notch. I tipped Rebecca well. That girl was working so hard and never broke her professional, kind manner. Some places treat me less than being a solo diner, but she treated me like every other table and even took the time to ask me about my day. It's a serious plus when your server take the time to get to know you a little bit. She asked me if I made a mistake with the tip and I told her no, she was working so hard and always making the best of a situation that was difficult at times. She teared up. Such a sweet hardworking person. She made the experience as much as the food and drink did. If you want a fantastic breakfast/brunch, stop in here. You will not be disappointed. I definitely want to visit Kingston again and will always stop in here for that amazing Tex-Mex Benny!

This review is for the Napanee location of Coco Frutti. My daughter and I attended for breakfast…read moreand there were only a couple other tables with customers. Our waitress was wonderful and the service from her was wonderful, but the food was a different story. It took what seemed like forever for our food to arrive. My daughter ordered the rainbow crepe and mid way through eating, discovered a strawberry that had been semi sliced with the green top still on it. The flavours were decent with the crepe, although after a taste of it that she offered, I found the English cream to be pretty bland. I had ordered the Florentine Eggs Benedict for myself with a side of ham. Being a huge foodie and very fluent home chef, I was extremely disappointed to find the eggs over-poached, the hollandaise bland and too runny, and the spinach was cold. My side of ham also came out 5 minutes later, and very much resembled a piece of fried bologna sliced in half. I would like to give Coco Frutti another chance, but I doubt it will be in the near future, and I'm positive it will not be the Napanee location.

Every time we went, if the two ladies were working, we'd get a hello and hug. Last week I went with my friend and when the time came to pay, I went to the cash and paid by debit. Unfortunately, I pulled the card out too early and the server had to re enter the transaction. This week I received notification that my bank account had been double charged. So, when we were in Kingston, I approached the owner and explained the situation. Rather than refunding one transaction, he gave a song and dance that he'd have to check with his bank. He has seen us in his establishment many many times and obviously I wasn't there to scam him. In fact I even showed him a picture of the message I received from my bank showing two Jiffy Grill transactions for the exact same amount. Since then, I have been advised my bank reversed one of the transactions no thanks to the owner. So, other than the fact that this guy cheaps out by not giving refills for soft drinks, he has lost a good customer as I won't be returning to his establishment. By failing to refund one of the transactions, he was insinuating I was a liar and trying to rip him off for two meals. I don't go to a place that treats loyal customers like that. Too bad, because his servers are the best and the food is good.
