Ordered a T bone steak and eggs. I bit down on what I thought was a toothpick. I immediately showed my waitress and she took it to the manager somehow he was able to determine that it was a bone shard. And it was breaking really easy. I love going to Dennys and I always order the same thing all the time. I got an Alaskan Salmon with rice and broccoli. I only had one complaint the food was scattered and the sauce was dripping everywhere. When I first arrived no one was anywhere to be found 2 of us were waiting and the people that were dining in was looking around too. I'm honestly not sure why it took anyone so long to come to service us but the person that helped me was coming from outside. Said she couldn't refund the order because it was online. Now I check the app and find out you people completed the order? REALLY? And to top it all off, we drove the the Range Line Rd Denny's and bought a Pumpkin Pie and were charged $11.00? Note that most of the bad reviews are really old, some aren't even Vaud. Oh well. It seems this Denny's has been remodeled, it's one of the nicest looking Denny's we've ever eaten in. It's got a great Route 66 decor going on with stylists maps and local photography. It's fun just to look around it. Generally it's pretty quiet, social distancing helps that too. We've been here a dozen times. Bo it's not amazing, it's a Denny's so people that give it one star for being what it is, isn't really fair. The pancakes are always good, better than our local ihop and most coffee shops and diners in the area. Inlets are good and I'd say better than anyone Ele SES in Joplin. Some menu items are hit and miss but they do some things really well. Here's the surprise The menu always HS good Photography, it makes me suspicious of the food because I expect the food that's served to look nothing like that. I mean think about Subway, their ads have giant sandwiches bursting with veggies and meat. But they never look like that in real life. The pictures in the Denny's menu of hamburgers are really well done (my compliments to the food stylists and photographer). But I haven't had a burger in a Denny's in more than 30 years, they just aren't or weren't very good. I was wrong, so are you, if you like a good homemade burger you got to give this Denny's a chance. Check my photo, my burger was huge! More than that it was fresh, good quality meat, well crusted in the outside but juicy and flavorful inside like a good steakhouse burger! The veggies were fresh, cool, crisp and also had flavor. The bun was not a cheap grocery store in either. It was worth eating, I often skim the bun at a lot of places because they are just cardboard or fluffy but tasteless. This was simply a very good burger that I would expect from a good neighborhood bbq or a steakhouse. I was really surprised. My came with seasoned fries which were crisp and fresh but kind of flavored like curly fries which I don't care for but good if you like curly fries. Last we ordered smoothies which was more of a dessert, I had the mango yogurt, my wife had the green one which was mango, spinach, apple, yogurt and I think other stuff. Both were good and we took them home as desserts. Ok let's be clear, it's a Denny's. Starting from that point the service was fair, prompt and our waitress was funny as was the host. It looks better than most small town diners and coffee shops, seats are comfortable and it's clean. It might be the best Denny's we've ever been in. Last, why are my last review from here missing Yelp? My wife and son also gave it good reviews several months ago and they are missing too. Something seems broken at Yelp. read more

Is it possible to a ZERO rating? Was driving south of KC, early afternoon, the weather was rainy and I was tired. Stopped here to eat, late lunch. There was ONE other customer in the building. There was another single walk in behind me, he sat several tables away. Waitress was a bit slow getting to me, but she did. Handed me a menu. I told her I was tired, needed a cup of coffee and to sit for a minute then I would order. She took care of the other customer....he got his food a group of 3 came in and sat about 10 feet from me. First guy got his food, I raised my hand. Second group got menu's again I raised my hand...they got food... By now I literally stood up, when the food for the others were served... We were traveling across the country. So stopping for food is a must. This Denny's was super hospitable. They seated us right away. My children are always polite but they are still children. The host and server greeted them with smiles and were patient with them. The only down fall was that my daughter ordered an Oreo shake and the server brought her an orange juice. ‍ oh well mistakes happen. #13-2021 four and a half stars but I'm giving them the benefit of the doubt and up in it to the 5 mark. haven't been to this Denny's in probably over a year I think but decided to hit it up cuz I had to taste for a french toast slam as I was cruising up interstate 44 headed for Texas. show pulled into the flying J thought being Sunday I know the chiefs are playing today but their TVs are broke but oh well I thought it would be slam jam packed with a bunch of locals but it ain't. a lot of times especially at Denny's and places like that on Sunday church day all kinds of holy rollers are usually filling up the place in the have to wait to sit even if you're a truck driver but not today hooray! so I walked in and I was greeted immediately the dining room was about quarter to half full there was some local families having some brunch I was seated as for a booth with a plug nearby I got one. Ryliegh the young waitress came over and took my drink order said I knew what I wanted when I came in didn't need a menu so I got one of my usual Denny favorites. coffee with regular milk for it and some Splenda, French toast slam: eggs soft scrambled dusting of powdered sugar no butter regular syrup today and the healthier option turkey bacon. and a glass of water cuz I got tons of pills I got to take with meal now. my food came out really quick I was surprised was able to cut and mash up the scrambled eggs nice and soft perfect French toast was nice and Golden Delicious and the turkey bacon wasn't overcooked fantastic. had a delicious brunch this is another Denny's I think I'll put on the list when I'm rolling up through Joplin to probably stop at a little more often like certain Denny's I find myself stopping at because the food and the service is great. the restaurant was very clean nicely social distanced everything was sanitized as soon as somebody got up they were hopping right to it and cleaning the tables. the only reason I'm holding back for the full five stars was the TV's not being on because they had cable but after covid they said they're going to get it back once things settle down and they never did. also a couple of half Maskers working. I'm irritated I have to give them a star at all simply to review them. I stopped in because I was hungry. I ordered a Coke and looked through the menu. I did not see what I wanted on the menu as I think it changed. Restaurants chose their tails a lot changing menus. I did not see anything I was interested in eating. Burgers are everywhere. I'm not getting a steak when the steak houses in town don't even know how to cook a steak. It's super easy. I looked it up on YouTube. That left new dishes which of course prompted the menu change. I asked for my coke which I had yet to touch to be put in a to go cup. She didn't quite listen and poured me another coke to go. It cost me $2.47 for a coke with less than 8 oz of Coke one n it. I won't go back. There are so few places to go and get good service and good food. Remember when people put in an effort? That was great. Good times. Good times. Maybe history will repeat itself. I'll not know because I've quit going to so many places. I left hungry though not as hungry as when I went in. Don't hire meth mouth people to deal with the public in restaurants. May 10th our family went out for dinner at this Denny's. We hoped to enjoy the experience and had serious reservations, ha, due to the haphazard experience we had previously at Joplin's Range Line Denny's. The locations are NIGHT AND DAY People! No comparison! Our server at the Flying J Denny's was Professional, Sharp & Friendly! His name was Jeramy! He was in command of his position and we truly thought he was the manager. Jeramy announced the menu items that were currently unavailable, giving suggestions as to the best options of the day. He was swift and attentive, and was able to make us all smile! Our food was hot and delicious! All five dinners were served together with care given to the presentation and preparation requests we made when ordered. There is ABSOLUTELY NOTHING that could be added to make our experience more EXCELLENT! We will be back! Gratitude to Jeramy and the staff who made our celebration so wonderful and memorable!
