I asked for my order one way and it came out the opposite of what I asked... things happen, but the slowness when you cater to travelers off of 85... not good at all. First off this is a truck stop. Trucks are expected to operate 24/7. The driver need a place to eat. These big company shit holes bring in shit holes like Denny's that can't stay open past 7:30pm when their hours say 8:00pm. Another fine example of how big corporations put the mom and pops out of business and expect a good review. I will never stop at a Denny's ever again. This could quite possibly be the worst Danny's I've ever been to. It was after church so we expected a wait. After telling us that we would have to wait before he could even talk to us about a seat, it took him about 10 minutes of running around like a chicken with his head cut off to seat a family of six. Clearly he was in over his head. The problem is there couldn't have been more than 25 customers in the entire restaurant. In fact at one point I commented that there were more waitresses standing around than there were tables with customers. He then came back and said it would be another 15 minutes before he could seat us because the kitchen was backed up...so we couldn't sit at one of the 20 open tables and at least have coffee! Denny's is usually one of my favorite places to eat...avoid this one at all cost! read more

Denny's is a Great place. Some locations are awful. This one is at a truck stop. It's great because the ceilings are vaulted and you feel less claustrophobic. The service is great, for what it is. If you're a coffee drinker, they have a mild and dark roast. The coffees always fresh and well brewed. If you sit at the counter you can watch tv while you eat. Coffees always full and the food is good. read more

Worst service that we have had, was seated and had to wait 10 mins to get asked for drinks. Three other customers were seated after we got there and were attended quick . Their food was also there within 15mins while we were still waiting for our orders to be taken. I don't bring race into anything but it's hard to not notice such service we were given while the other three customers who were white, were treated quicker. To say it was slow is an understatement. The hostess did tell us there was only one waitress working. We gave our order and waited approximately 45 minutes for the food. I ordered the original grand slam with instructions to make sure the eggs were well done. No running or giggling. The yellow and white completely done. When the food came out I went to cut my eggs and one yellow was runny. With as long as it took to get the food you would have thought they could cook the eggs the way I ordered. Oh well. I recently tried THIS Denny's AGAIN, after I received food poisoning the first time I dined at this location... Thinking it was a fluke... It WAS NOT! The Service is STILL HORRIBLE, our food was cold, the fries tasted like bad puff pastry with no flavor to be had... Our waitress actually took my fries BACK to the kitchen after I complained and asked for onion rings... Only, she took SO LONG to get those (she only had 3 tables, it was 4am...) that we got the rings to go... When she charged us, she "offered" a 10% discount, which was an INSULT! Then, when we told her that we needed to split the check, she told us that this would VOID our DISCOUNT and she ended up charging us FULL PRICE for LOUSY SERVICE and a LOUSY MEAL! So Instead of paying 16 Dollars and some Change, we ended up paying almost 20... I was PISSED because she acted like she EXPECTED a TIP... MY girlfriend, being the nice person that she is, ACTUALLY GAVE HER ONE... So we ended up paying a total of 23.00 for LOUSY SERVICE! Why is it so hard to get a good burger and Fries?!? I mean, is it so hard to cook a potato and a meat patty at this location?!?! Rest assured, I will never GO HERE AGAIN. I am about to boycott Denny's Completely, which is a Real Shame, because I USED to LOVE their chain. As we were checking out, a lady manager had us wait without acknowledging us while she proceeded to change the register to a new shift. I don't like to judge a restaurant on just one trip if I have a bad experience. But we stopped again and had another bad experience. The first time we waited over 50 minutes to get our food and this time we ordered a steak breakfast and wanted the steak medium rare and it was fully cooked. For the first breakfast we were told a cook didn't show up for work and that is why we waited so long. I went for the birthday special, my experience was horrible from when I first stepped in the building I waited to be seated , Paula the server was standing a few feet away from us cleaning up, only one family was in the reasturaunt but she didn't even say hello, rather waited until the other server got done with the family to come and seat us, she told the other girl that she was busy and didn't feel like taking any more tables, the other girl seated us, but didn't ask what we wanted to drink or tell us her name instead told us she had to go get the family's food (mind you the only other people in the entire place), so after about 10 minutes of me staring Paula down she finally came and asked what we wanted to drink , I told her it was my birthday and I wanted the special to which she replied we don't do that anymore without an online coupon, then proceeded to go ask the manager if it was okay just this once. She came back with the worst attitude was rolling her eyes and rushing me and my girlfriend to order like rude as ever ! I'm a calm and understanding guy but she really did a horrible job taking our order, on my birthday at that! Didn't even tell me happy birthday. After she walked off my girlfriend could see the emotions on my face and asked if I wanted to leave because the girl was ruining my birthday breakfast. I said yes and we left. The GM of this restaurant needs to be fired immediately!!! I stop in there cause it's at the Flying J truck stop, but I swear I'd rather walk 1mile down the street. I stopped in there and got seated right away. My server brought my drink out just as I sat and took my order. (pancakes, eggs over easy, hash, sausage..)simple right? And that was it..... I waited about 20 min for her get me another drink and saw her walk outside twice with her cell phone. I had to get another server who was zigzagging through the restaurant to get me another drink . Another 15 min pass. She came over to explain to me that there was only one cook. why do they have 1 cook at the dinner hour at a truck stop full of hungry truckers? I don't know! So I waited another 20 min. Meanwhile I noticed 5 people get up and walk out. Most haven't even received drinks. Some were seated when I walked in. Finally my pancakes arrive. I Got them 1st had to wait for the hash, sausage and eggs separately. Then got the eggs.... they were sunny side up and the yolks were busted!!! I sent them back. I asked for butter from 2 servers ,and then they get pulled away by another customers So I just said forget it. I cannot count how many times I've been in there for the dinner hour and they would be outta hamburgers,steaks,meatballs etc. out of all these items at the same time! The GM needs to order more food. He/she needs to train customer service skills. they need to work their own sections. I see servers running back and forth to other peoples tables because their server is missing! This place is terrible. My food took 40 minutes to come even though there were only 2 other people in the whole place. When I got up to pay for the drink and leave the manager wouldn't even come out of the kitchen. WORST Denny's in America.. The staff barely pays attention to it's customers. While I was here I watched as 2 waitresses argued another was walking back and forth but not actually doing anything and another was talking on her personal cell phone while at least 2 other patrons were sitting and waiting for service. Myself on the other hand was luck enough to have landed a wonderful waitress named Gabrielle (Gabbi). She is very sweet and attentive. There is also a young host that is doing an excellent job. His name is Eli and I'm sure he would be a better waiter than the others they have here. I obviously don't know anything about the other shifts but I've been here twice both times about 4-5pm. If I could give negative stars I would. I can not even rate the food as we were never even acknowledged after the hostess sat us in our booth. It was very late and my kids were tired and we needed to eat something as we had been on the road all day. She had no problem talking and waiting on two other tables but did not even come over to welcome us and ask for drinks. Much time passed and we got up and left as we knew the real reason why she did not serve us but did serve and acknowledge others. She also had the nerve to ask "Y'all ain't stayin' ", after we were already at the door. Of course we are not. Now there was a rather large bug that crept out of the menu right before we got up to leave. So, if that is what is produced at the front of the house, I will bet the kitchen is dirty as well. I lived in Europe for 6 years so I know how to be patient with restaurant service as they believe in slowing down to enjoy. However, I also know that Denny's is like any other restaurant in America, and on point, quick efficient and friendly service is expected and most of the time delivered (NOT HERE THOUGH) . What a great welcome back to America and the racism that goes with it! BTW, my family and I are Caucasian, the waitress was not and nor were the customers she did provide service and conversation to. Will never even contemplate eating or attempting to eat at one of these establishments ever again. Honestly, I guess I had been gone long enough for this type of behavior to be openly accepted. This place is gross. Ordered two eggs over easy and when I pierced the yolks a clear watery substance ran out. I showed it to the waitress and she says "oh, that's not supposed to happen with over easy because you actually have to crack the eggs!" We had to wait for coffee because the cook had to make more. Got a refund from the corporate. The corporate office gave me The female customers. Told us they not want to wait on me much. said would rather wait on other person. The two female employees . One hostess and cashier. They saw us they ran away from me. And had to ask them to wait on us. They were gossiping and eating a meal. And had to yell at them to get wait on . They were only nice to male tables. We had to yell at them to come back to us. They were on waiting on male tables. The waitress came to our table. Rush to get rid of us, yell at us, ran away from us. It was a problem to order. And problem to ask them to come back. And continue to wait on us. Talk back rude and interrupt. We wanted more napkins and gave us towels. We ask for a credit for our coffee. They would not volunteer to give us refill. Brought us burned toast. And had to ask them to correct it. Many dirty tables end not busy. And not clean it up. The hostess walk away from us when we paid for the meal. She not come back and had to ask her to finish her job. the decor pain and seats comfortable. The menu has a good amount of items to choose from. The plates are big and full of food.
