The waitress was very nice but the service was hit and miss. She would be attentive and then would disappear for a bit. Maybe they were short handed and she was helping out in somebody else's section. It is always nice and cool, as well as dimly lit in a Dennys. In Arizona that's a very good thing. The food was pretty decent except for the hash browns. They tasted like they were just cooked in fryer oil. I don't blame this location though but rather something Denny's corporate may have done to save money, switching to a cheaper hash browns or something, because this is the second Denny's I've noticed this at in the last two months. I loved Dennys hash browns too, so I am bummed. The rest of the food was spot on though so it's not a deal breaker. read more

Where it goes down hill is the prices VS quantity and quality, for two people with 1 appetizer, and 2 entrees, it came to 60 DOLLARS? I'm sorry I thought I was at DENNYS, not some high end restaurant. They definitely need to reevaluate their prices because I couldn't imagine what a bill of a family of 4+ would be. I got here at 2:20 to have breakfast meal with the wife. A nice young man with a pony tail instructed us to have a seat to the right of the register. So we walked in to having every table full of dishes or not clean. The first thing I noticed was a lady standing in the corner table talking to customers. The young man apologized and explained that he just got started for the day. So we sat at a table that was somewhat clean and asked for towel to whip tables off. All while this was going on the lady still was talking to that table. The young man started cleaning off the other tables why she just stood there and watched him. Around 2:30 she left the table and shorty returned to bring them desert. Out of all the tables that were dirty she cleaned one. The young man did most of the others. I did notice that she had time to sit a new customer in one of the booths the young man cleaned. So to my conclusion , if your work is to serve table and take care of customers then to this. This includes clean the tables you served not to have someone else do it for you. I also witnessed the young man having to serve the table she took while we were sitting there. Gluten free eater. I came one many years ago and I got terrible stomach problems. Probably due to the oil. So I'm here back trying it out again. There isn't much on the main menu that specifies what is gluten free, so I just ordered something I knew wouldn't have any question. I ordered the club sandwich without bread. The meat was sweeter than my preference but overall it was good. The fries were golden and well cooked. My iced tea was good. We were with a hard of hearing individual and our waitress was helpful and really took time to explain what she was asking. Overall the food wasn't stellar or blowing me away. I never expect too much from Denny's, but wow! I walked in this morning at the same time as another person. We both waited in the very hot lobby for ten minutes without a worker in site. Then, the other lady poked her head into the kitchen and screamed "hello." Finally, a lady came out and told us their air conditioning has been out but there is a back room where it works. The place smelled of old grease, and slightly of urine. Beyond my better judgment, I followed her to the back room. After sitting for a minute a man came out and rudely asked "What can I get you?" I placed my order, which included black coffee and water. He brought out the water and coffee and quickly disappeared to the kitchen. When I took a drink of the coffee, I realized it was cold, and burnt. I looked at the lady seated next to me and she indicated that her coffee was bad too. We both waited for a while with no sign of the waiter, so I got up and hunted him down. Now mind you, that the other lady and I were the only customers in the whole place. When I finally found him, the waiter nonchalantly mumbled "I will make more and bring it to you". At this point I was done. I grabbed my things and walked right out. We decided to give them a try tonight, a Sunday night around 8 pm. Upon entry, we waited a few minutes before being greeted--no biggie. Waitress pointed us to the north side and anywhere we wanted to sit. The north side had all their chairs on the tables, a few booths that were still dirty. Waiter Samuel came sprinting to the rescue! He removed chairs from one of the tables and was rushing around taking care of other patrons. Our 4 are old wanted chocolate milk, but was told they were out of milk. She also wanted their children's Mac and cheese, with a side salad. While waiting to place our order, another party was told that they were out of salad, so we had to change from salad to another side. Order was taken and I asked for the chicken fried steak dinner, but was abide l advised they were out of chicken fried steak. I settled for their lasagna. I asked for their sampler appetizer as well. Sauel returned from the kitchen advising that they just ran out of Buffalo sauce for the wings. Settled for BBQ instead. Samuel was on his toes! He was rushing around bussing tables, checking on patrons, trying to clean the floor and checking on food. He apologized several times and told me he was called in to help, and this was not his normal shift. He went above and beyond to cater to his customers! He said they were out of salad, bananas, strawberries, buffalo sauce, chx fried steak, wavy fries and other items. Their was one other waitress that I saw a couple times (she was apparently tending to patrons on the south side of the restaurant). I also saw a busser once, of whom exited the room and was not seen again. Appetizer arrived and was delicious, despite not having marinara sauce! Food arrived--children's cheeseburger/fries, reg cheeseburger/fries, children's Mac n cheese with bacon, and lasagna. Marinara sauce was delivered at this time, but sampler was gone. Was told garlic bread would be out momentarily. Another femaled assisted in delivering our food--I assumed it was the manager. We asked for refills (iced tea and water), but did not get them for several minutes, after 3 requests. Again, it appeared as though Samuel was the only person trying to run this side of the restaurant! He finally came with pitchers for refills. The tea had no ice, so we asked for cups of ice. Upon refilling the iced tea, the taste was that of COFFEE. This was brought up to Samuel and he thot we were joking. He took a sip and almost threw up! Other patrons indicated the same taste when they were served with refills as well. The "assumed" manager was observed coming out of the kitchen a few times, looking into the north room, walking behind the cash register and back into the kitchen. She appeared to be clueless as to what she was doing and what needed attention. We checked out with Samuel and he was given props for his service to us and others, despite the shortcomings of the restaurant. He kept a professional attitude and did what he could to rectify the situations he encountered. Way to go Sam! It appears that their was a lack of adequate management-- poor scheduling, lack of direction and yet again, poor judgment of food ordering. My guy and I decided to go to Denny's after going to a yard sale. The restaurant was busy so we expected a wait before we were seated. There was one waitress billing out the previous patrons. When she went to seat some other people a nice waitress came to greet us and proceeded to ask if we wanted a table or booth. I informed her we would like a booth and she quickly seated us. While we were waiting a another nice waitress came over to see what we wanted to drink. We let her know and she brought the drinks to us. Let me tell you...I ordered the mango smoothie and the flavor was divine. I also enjoyed the texture which was smooth. We placed our order and thought we would have to wait awhile, but we received our food promptly. Well, my guy received his sandwich slightly later than his soup, but the sandwich quickly followed. I ordered a dish I had never tried before. It is called the Southwest Benny breakfast. Where has this meal been all my life? The flavor was amazing. I could not stop eating. I will definitely order that menu item again. One thing I have to point out that was truly exceptional was the waitress removed our empty plates from the table to get rid of the clutter. I cannot tell you how many times he and I have gone to restaurants and we have to shuffle the empty plates or cups because the waiters or waitresses never remove them. So kudos to her. This Denny's diner is under New Management. Amazing improvement. We had stopped dinning here in 2023, due to poor service and lack-luster food. Decided to try here again on Christmas day due to everything else being closed. Wow!!! We were completely surprised by the new level of service and the taste and presentation of the was wonderful. We have returned several times and this Dennys crew has surprisingly amazed me every time. Hats off to the New Management, cooks and waitstaff, that make this a place worth returning to. read more

Ok, so I'm in Globe,AZ for a class reunion. I am staying at the Copper Hills Inn that offer some sort of breakfast (I think like a continental breakfast). I decided to skip that and walk a couple hundred feet to the Denny's next time my hotel. I order coffee to start with as I reviewed the menu. The waitress brought me coffee and half and half. I prepared my coffee and took a drink. I was caught off guard with the taste. I thought it was tea instead. I called the waitress over and told her it tasted like tea. She said, "maybe your cup wasn't washed correctly "! Humm, interesting comment. She came back to me with a new cup of coffee and carafe. She told me that I was correct and that the tea was brewing and she accidentally grabbed the wrong carafe. Ok, not too big of a deal. She brought out my breakfast and looked good but my food was cold. I then asked her if she can put my plate in the microwave and warm it up. No problem. She had brought me out my pancake so I figured I could start in that while my food was being warmed. No syrup! I asked the waitress for syrup. When my food came out it was warm but could have been warmed up more. I wasn't going to ask to have it warmed more at this point. I was very disappointed with my breakfast and regretted going there rather than eating the continental breakfast at my hotel. The floor had large pieces of food on it and the waitresses seemed a little unorganized. One 5-star rating I will give this establishment is for their bathroom being clean. LOL. We stayed at the Best Western next door with a large group for the county fair. After long days and getting back to the hotel late, we had multiple amazing experiences with our server Jessica! The first night she was the only server and while the service was slow, she still made sure to get our orders correctly & was very attentive. The second night, she even saved the large group table for us since we told her we would be back. She was fun to be around & got to know all of us & we even made some inside jokes. This place just opened but it's off to a great start in my opinion. I have gone twice now and both times the food was great and the service was friendly. My mom likes to have her pancakes as soon as they are done and the server made sure to get them to her ASAP. I have a friend who said his order was messed up but they made it right and it was good once they fixed the issue. I hope this place does well and stays at this level of service. Dear Denny's I wanted to thank you for an experience that I've never had before. You are so genuinely and consistently terrible and I admire your dedication. First off, the way you completely ignore customers when they come in to enjoy your establishment is impressive to say the least. You actually look like you can't see people standing right in front of you, amazing! That was only the beginning, we got to stand there and enjoy the staff argue who had to "take the people by the register" and then we got to feel the anticipation of figuring out who the "loser" was that got us. He seemed great though, he started out by asking if we were ready to pay, then he continued to go ahead and help someone who did need to pay. Granted, that lady did come in, get seated, ordered, ate and got in line to pay in the time I got asked if I wanted a table or booth so why not help her first. After we were seated with menus we finally got our "actual server" or possibly the manager's kid and gave her our order. We asked for one order to go so when she brought us our ketchup and whatnot to the table for our meal to be had there, she also brought us our to-go condiments as well so we had to share our table with a bag that we could of easily received with the to-go order itself when we left but I guess we could hold onto it until we're done enjoying our meal. Speaking of which, excellent, excellent, EXCELLENT job on the food, it really tasted ok this time. My daughter especially liked how she had to eat her pancakes and syrup with her hands because your hilarious staff forgot we eat with utensils now. I know "new concepts" are hard to adjust to but the effort to join the 21st century does not go unnoticed. So thanks again Denny's for an unforgettable experience that I can share with everyone. So we drove from klondyke to globe ...50 miles for nachos and a burger. 1) no meat for the nachos. 2) waited 25 minutes for food and we we're the only ones in for 15 minutes. 3) music was blaring from the kitchen, with someone from the back asking if too loud. 4) orded a burger with jalapeno and no bacon, got no jalapeno and bacon, and the wrong bread. 5) when I pointed it out, they asked if I wanted to put my own on, and when I said I didn't want the mess and that I wanted my money back, I was ignored and the waitress brought it back with jalapeno on it. 6 ) when the manager came to the table, he asked" what's your side of the story? 7) my husband's dish was missing meat. 8) we wasted an hour and 15 minutes. She was, and again, I stress this is an entirely accurate rendition, wearing a vial of blood on necklace. We asked for a booth and were told there were none. I pointed one out right behind her. "It's dirty." After and awkward pause, "Oh, you want me to clean it?" Yes, please. So she jabbed a sponge into a bin of dingy water at the hostess station, stomped over to the table and mopped it down. We were then seated at the wet table and and got to check out the menu for a good half hour before waitress arrived, giving me time to notice the food stuck to my butter knife. Had to ask for water twice. She seemed personally offended that I asked for cream to put in my luke warm coffee. My wife's omelet was watery and her bacon could have been used for a slingshot. My Santa Fe skillet was a pile of diced string beef and scrambled eggs swimming in a pool of grease. My two-dollar tortilla never arrived. A request for napkins was met with, "Fine" and a pile literally thrown onto the table. Never offered a refill on anything, and waitresses practically ran past tables without making eye contact, refusing to acknowledge frantic waves. We got to see another rare table "cleaning," this time using the dry technique, in which crumbs, straw wrappers, napkins, etc. being swept off the table and onto the floor, where they stayed. The next family of victims was then seated. We waited for the bill, which never came, so we went back up to the front, where we were ignored for another 10 minutes or so before being forced to pay $35 for a horrible, unfinished meal. We have eaten here 3 times. The service was good each time......however the first time we asked that our hash browns be stirred and cooked all the way thru and made crispy, didn't happen. Second time we ordered the T-bone. The steak was listed as a 13 oz steak, at best it 3 oz. and sliced so thin, it was like a piece of cardboard. We often stop for lunch in the drive from Oro Valley to Pinetop and usually do the same Mexican restaurant each trip for many years. Friends mentioned they stopped at Denny's and enjoyed their meal so we thought we'd try. After reading the Yelp reviews, we decided to pass and drive through town looking for an alternative. After driving through the historic district and seeing crowds everywhere decide to give Denny's a try. We are so glad we did! I haven't been in a Denny's for probably 25 years and was amazed at the huge menu. Our waitress, Krista, was amazing! Very patient with all our questions about the menu, came back several time to check on us and and was very sweet. I didn't experience anything negative about the experience (including the immaculate restrooms) that prompted the negative reviews. My wife and I went to Denny's to eat breakfast. The parking lot was not packed so we decided to go in. Before the door closed a woman scratched at us "my kitchen is packed and we are having a 30 minute sitting" what the hell does that mean? My wife and I looked at each other and said are they closed ...oh she just doesn't want us here so we left and went to another place instead. This woman had glasses, about 40 years old, dark shoulder length hair. Was a lead or manager. Poorly trained I guess. Should not be working with customers. Also sent a complaint to Denny's corporate office, hopefully she will be reprimanded. I'm sure she treated other people the same, unwelcome and a burden. This place won't last if they keep hiring bad workers, very high turnover. Won't be going back. Had enough of this place and gave to many chances. Always out of food, poor customer service and so on.
