They have a small separate menu with their vegetarian friendly items which was also nice. Clean establishment and parking was easy, staff are also friendly and accommodating.

It went down hill from here. My husband ordered the double stack hidden valley ranch burger meal. It was so soggy that the bottom bun had disintegrated. The top bun was so hard he couldn't bend it. Appears to have been sitting out for a while. The fries were stale. The iced tea isn't my favorite brand of tea. That isn't their fault. I'm picky for good iced tea. His burger had no lettuce but without me asking (I ordered the same as his with modifications) mine came with lettuce. My order was correct. I got the same burger as my husband minus onion runs, bbq and a bun. They got all that right. Honestly that probably is part of the one star rating. I rarely get fast food to get me my order quickly and correctly. My burger had a ton of lettuce on it. The lettuce looked frozen and thawed. The ribs were discolored. It felt soggy. But it was bright green. I removed it all. The burger tasted like a frozen patty that was microwaved. I don't mind a good frozen patty, I've been to other local places that do them well. The bacon was fine and the cheese sauce was okay. To be honest it was one of the worst meals I've had in globe. We will only be returning for their ice cream items for my husband and my mom.

Finding gems like these on Yelp is what keeps me loyal to Yelp! Ive been on Yelp since 2006 (close…read moreto 20 years and well before Google maps or reviews ever existed) and without it, I would have missed out on a lot of cool and neat places like this! Thanks Yelp for helping me find 20 years of good eats, drink and fun! La Luz Del Dia means "the light of the day" in Spanish and boy is this place bright and cheery and the perfect start to a glorious and beautiful Sunday morning. You know this place is gonna be good because as I drove down the deserted road nary a car through downtown Globe and arrive at this place, you see a bunch of cars parked huddled near this place. I knew it wws gonna be good. I walk into this unassuming place and almost every table is taken at close to 9am on Sunday. There were a few seats at the counter facing the open kitchen so I made a beeline to sit down. Wait staff and customers in here are so nice and friendly! The cute girls working here are fast and efficient, and super sweet and all with a smile. I was pretty hungry as I hadn't eaten since Friday breakfast and was ready to gobble up a good breakfast. I had a chorizo burro (same as a burrito, still trying to figure out the difference) and a cup of coffee. Coffee was ok, and did the job. But, the burro was great! Southwest breakfast burritos are some of the best, and when you're in the Southwest, definitely don't pass this up to have. This burro was also huge and despite the fact I was famished, I could only eat a half of my burro. You can get red or green salsa, but since I am a spice pansy, I opted for the red, which was still more spicy than I can handle. By 9:20am, I was finished eating and ready to go. You go up to the cashier and pay there. There's a desert and drinks case by the register and lots of goodies there to choose from too. There was baklava, orange cake and brownies on offer. I also spied a chamoy pickle for sale too, here in the Southwest when the summers get so hot, having a pickle is sometimes in order to replace the salt we lose sweating so much! Overall, I loved this place! Loved the atmosphere as its kind of an old school diner, and everyone in here was a delight and the food was delicious! I'll be back again when coming thru Globe again! And you should definitely check this place out when passing thru Globe!

That was nice. It's the little things that make customers feel appreciated! They have two salsas, red habanero and green tomatillo type, which was my favorite. The guacamole was actually guac - not full of sour cream like other restaurants use to increase the product. The girl working in the restaurant had such a JOYFUL presence and was in a great mood, a little giggly, with the cutest laugh. She even helped a little boy and his mom with a toy/quarter machine. The little boy skipped his way out, he was so happy! This crew must enjoy what they're doing! Guys cooking in the back were fast! She recognized customers as they came in and was kind to everyone, wishing all a Happy Thanksgiving! The food was EXACTLY what I was looking for... hot, fresh, seasoned nicely and very filling. The Burro meat was deliciously juicy, rice - savory, beans - authentic! Enchilada sauce was full of flavor, but not spicy. Loved it! This place played nice calming music, not too loud and the tile work in the entire place was beautiful! There's plenty of table space including high tops. Bathroom smelled like it had just been cleaned, everything was so tidy! I'll be back again to try the carne Asada!

The place has a no-nonsense, small-town charm. You walk in and it smells like someone's been tending a smoker since sunrise. I went for the brisket and ribs combo, and it was everything I hoped for. The brisket had that perfect smoke ring and melted in my mouth, and the ribs were fall-off-the-bone with just enough bite to keep it interesting. Their house BBQ sauce is tangy with a little kick--not too sweet, not too spicy, just right. What really stood out was the portion size. It's not just generous--it's borderline ridiculous. Watching HUGE BBQ PLATTER CHALLENGE | BeardMeatsFood, I thought it might be exaggerated for the camera, but nope. They serve up serious plates. You can see why Adam (BeardMeatsFood) was sweating through that challenge. The staff were friendly and seemed genuinely proud of what they're serving. I chatted with one of the guys behind the counter who mentioned they've had folks come in just because of the YouTube video. It's cool to see a local spot get that kind of attention. If you're into food challenges, the vibe is very much like what you see in DRUNK GUY BETS BAR STAFF I'LL BREAK THE RECORD ... and THIS CHALLENGE HAS BEEN FAILED 70 TIMES! | 13TH ...--fun, a little chaotic, and full of personality. But even if you're just there for a regular meal, Gila Hogs delivers. Bottom line: if you're anywhere near Globe, AZ, and you love BBQ, this place is worth the stop. It's not polished or fancy--it's just damn good food made by people who care. So Sad this place is now closed since I was there !!!!
