Most staff members I encountered were rude and so judgmental, especially the stallion woman with the man's cut! The management clearly abuses staff. I love shopping at Denny's. Hard to believe that it is 18 years since I bought my first grandchild her wardrobe! Today I picked up a gift card for my neighbor's sons birthday. Everyone is so anxious to help and because the staff knows the inventory so well, they know exactly where to take me when I am shopping for a gift. I cannot understand all the negative reviews - it's like they all got paid to trash the store; it's as if they are talking about somewhere else. Strange! I have shopped here and another location for infants, toddlers, boys, girls, and men's. Great selection whether you're looking for a gift, kids clothes, men's or basketball jerseys or collectibles and accessories (pillows, water bottles, toys, etc). Over the years this is where I scored some beautiful trendy clothing and faux fur white coats for my daughter. I was just in there today picking up GOAT and Overtime sweatshirts. I have literally never been so disrespected by a store manager in my life- insanely condescending, unprofessional, and he had the gall to ask me how much my children weigh when I was trying to explain how badly the subpar clothing they sell shrank. God forbid you need to return something- forget about it. They DO NOT stand by the products they sell. They'd rather scoff at and belittle the customer than issue a refund or store credit. Wow, just wow. Honestly right off the bat when I walked in a tall woman with a man's haircut was very cold to me. This place gave me the impression that if I don't have a certain "look" and if I wasn't going to spend a lot of money I wasn't worth their time. Everything here is beyond overpriced and you're better off going to their competitors to shop because you'll receive better quality products, better prices, and better service. When I was browsing with my daughter I overheard multiple times what I assume to be managers mistreating their staff. They were belittling them and getting angry with them over very minuscule things. They were overly aggressive to the point where staff was almost in tears. My daughter and I ended up leaving empty handed because I was so beyond uncomfortable with the environment that was being cultivated. Not to mention their return policy was ridiculous. I can tell you right now their cooperate office clearly does not care about how their stores are being run, how customers are being treated, and most importantly how their staff is being treated. Quite terrible customer experience -- I recently purchased a pair of infant leggings, washed as instructed and came to find that the dye was rubbing off on my infant's legs. Very upset, I went to the store to return and hopefully exchange them, where I was told they could not take them back right away and would need to contact the manufacturer. I was then called a few days later so they could tell me there was nothing they could do and that I could try washing them again and try it out again...why would I put them back on my child and run the risk again?! On top of it, they were made in China (where most things are, and where most processes aren't regulated) and I was told to next time look at the tag before buying. After expressing my frustration, their offer was finally 20% off a future purchase (of course I have a coupon for that already) and they refused an exchange for something I could use. These are maybe $15 leggings (I honestly don't remember) but obviously worth it to them to lose a customer and stand behind a faulty product. I love the clothes Denny's has but the attitude, lack of customer service skill, etc will have me buying from the brands directly than going back to Denny's. Unfortunate. read more

This store has the cutest clothes to bad the managers are horrible rude people. I purchased a pair of shorts for my daughter that were marked on sale on the tag. When I got home I realized that I was charged full price for the shorts and called to have the price adjustment over the phone. The manager told me that THEIR employees must have marked the item the wrong price and the price I paid was correct. I was literally told that people are allowed to make mistakes. Umm pretty sure that's false advertising when it comes to business. I asked if they could honor the price that THEY put on the item and I was told No. The only option I had was to drive back to the store which is a half hour from my home to return it. I spend literally thousands of dollars at this store and then this is how they treat their loyal customers. Absolutely terrible bad business. When you shop their they ask as though they are doing you a favor and are so rude. I'll be taking my money to Nordstrom and Bloomingdale's in the future! read more

All the clothes are super nice and have good prices. They have a lot of sale racks that have nice clothes. Staff are super kind and helpful. I personally think this branch is a lot better than the one in Manhasset. Great variety read more

If you're considering making a layette appointment, one word: don't. I have my mother in law in town for the appointment and they "accidentally" booked someone ahead of me, so somehow that means my options are 1- being seated in the middle of an aisle or 2- losing my previously scheduled appointment. I'm not sure why they thought I should draw the short straw here instead of the person they booked right before, but here we are. I've had a much better experience at their competitors who were more than happy to find a way to accommodate me (and not in the middle of an aisle!) reminder to Denny's: if you don't want my money, plenty of other stores do. read more

Today was the my first time back in a clothing store since the pandemic started, and I have to say, Denny's is doing a great job! Everyone was wearing masks, there were folding tables in front of every cashier desk with hand sanitizer on them, and employees were wiping them down. Alexis helped us, and really went the extra mile, she even brought over a cart that she wiped down before we put our things in it. It was a very comforting experience. Worst customer service ever! The store manger has no moral at all! Yesterday I asked the manager if could exchange a girl's coat (which was bought a week ago) to a bigger size, she said as long as you keep all the tags then you can. Next day we found all the tags and went to the store, the clerks examined the coat and accepted the exchange. Later on, I got two ladies' call, one said we forgot to remove the security from her coat and it will alarm whenever your daughter wares it to store, come to remove it. Two hours later, the manager called, said there is a sensor in your daughter's coat, IT COULD EXPLODE ANY TIME, please come to store to remove it. At that moment, my daughter scared to death and took it off immediately. Guess what, they used this dirty trick to make us come to store and took the coat back. This is VERY DISGUSTING, she could have honestly told us they overlooked something and couldn't do the exchange, instead they are going so low, even trying to terrorize a kid. We spent lots of money in this store, the good part is we will never step in this store again! If there is a negative star, they definitely deserve it! read more

I went into the Nassau Pkwy location to browse baby clothes for my baby and the woman in the infants section completely ignored me. A man of a different race came over after me and the salesperson came out from behind the counter to help him. She said not one word to me and did nothing to acknowledge my presence. I'm pretty hard to miss with my 6 month pregnant belly. This was my first and last time setting foot in that store! I'd actually found a few items that I wanted to purchase, but I felt so neglected that I left them all on the rack. In all honesty, this store doesn't have anything that you can't find at Kohls or Macy's and you'll probably get better, less selective service. read more

I have never been to a store where the employees are so rude and obnoxious. Unless you are there for a camp appointment or to have a personal shopper you are treated so rudely, My honest belief is if you don't have a "certain look" or fit the "type" of shopper the expect, meaning you are going to spend thousands of dollars then they just don't care about you. I was in there with my daughter and her friend the other day. Each girl needed a fitting room, when I asked if they could open a room up I was told "I am sorry these are reserved for camp appointments", I mean seriously I have never been into a store where fitting rooms are reserved. For the lousy two shirts and two pairs of shorts my daughter wanted to try on they could have opened the fitting room. Yes, I could have bought the items had her try them on at home but if they did not fit and I needed to return them I would have gotten nasty looks and obnoxious attitudes. I don't understand how the employees who are there to help the customers treat each one differently and obnoxiously. I am not sure if it is like this in all locations but in the Plainview location the customer service, store employees and attitudes leave so much to desired. I would rather go a few steps away, spend a little more at Ruby and Jenna and be treated with respect. read more
