I'm out of town and work for a different agency, stopped by this store to add items to my collection. They had a bunch of things to choose from & the employees in the front were very friendly and helpful. Left the store very happy and I'll be back again. read more

The service is top-notch with extreme attention to detail They have a very wide selection of personalized clothing ,NYPD ,NCPD SCPD.PAPD , etc. and custom work DTF sand embroidering. With high quality of merchandise you get what you pay for! read more

They have a lot of great stuff spanning multiple law enforcement agencies. You can find uniform parts that are hard to get with most other stores since most other stores only supply uniform and equipment for the NYPD. I really like the fact that they take into consideration the other law enforcement agencies that do need uniform parts and equipment. They've been a great help to me and I've appreciate their customer service read more

Upon arrival, you're hit with the nostalgic feeling of walking into a toy store as a child. So in other words it's a toy store for the big boys and girls that stand behind the blue line. Jackie was an absolute sweetheart. But, I was waiting in line to get rung up only to watch the woman at the register completely ignore me and attend to two other customers. Nonetheless, Jackie and her assistance did help balance things out. Price was it was pretty fair. It's always great to catch a deal but you gotta keep in mind these folks have to make a living. Get out there and give these folks a helping hand to stay busy. read more

I've came here a couple of times and the service provided here is always top notch, thanks to Barb & Jackie. The sweetest ladies ever, super patient, accommodating and funny. I came in having no idea what my sizes were for my uniforms and Barb was able to find my size perfectly and so quickly. 10/10 will keep coming back for all my uniform needs read more

I have been coming to the Cop Shop for my entire 20 year career. I'm always met with smiles and great attitudes here. Today, I was in a pinch. Needed something done immediately for an upcoming detail/deployment. I called as soon as they open and without hesitation Jackie made sure my task would be done. Jackie, Jennifer and the other employees made sure everything was done to perfection. Thank you again! Sincerely, A Completely Satisfied Customer read more

The cop shop did it again! Requested some sweatshirts for a bachelorette party & some embroidered towels once again they were fantastic & I had them do it last minute & they made sure it was done & ready for me a day early! Everyone at the Bach loved the towels & sweatshirts! Katie & her crew are fantastic! read more

We were just here today. We had great service from the three ladies working the counter. I wrote one also on Google. I was here with my fiance and future father in law read more

Carissa and Gavin! Stellar people! Just a great family atmosphere at the Cop Shop. They love to help people.

As a member of the NYPD for almost 19 years, The Cop Shop is hands down the best. Every employe goes above and beyond to help you with what you need. They have an amazing selection and truly care about all of their customers. read more

i have been shopping here for over 20 years and it is time i post this long overdue review. katie is a beautiful young lady with a kind caring heart full of compassion she is always ready to fill an order with any special request whenever asked. i visited the cop shop 2 weeks to buy a gift for a sick family member, it was rainy and windy but Jackie was happy to step outside and retrieve the item i needed , with her gigantic smile and even bigger personality she is a compliment to the Cop Shop , . i thank you katie for all your help over the past 20 years, you and jackie have taken customer service to the highest level and the world is a better place with you and Jackie in it . I wish The Cop Shop continued success for another 20 years. kudos to Sue and Sal read more

Been going here for years! Kati & all the girls in the back are fantastic! Everything I need, even the craziest requests are always done super quick & always come out great! Great uniform selection & great prices too! They have lifelong customers with my family! A+ service always. read more

I'm shocked to see reviews about bad service. I've been here many times over the past 2.5 years and never had bad service. I'm always asked if I need help- I got asked if I needed help by at least 4 employees during my last visit. I mostly have purchased apparel from here but I've also picked up some work things for my fiance and presents. Most recently I stopped by for a gift for a friend who graduated the Trooper academy. It's convenient to be able to look around and get these things in person instead of online. They have a really cute selection of first responder christmas ornaments. My only complaint is that the quality of some (not all) of their shirts is lacking. The designs look like they'll fall off in one wash. Other shirts I've had for years and they're still looking great. read more

My go to shop for all my equipment and uniforms and anything extra! The service is amazing and their prices are beyond reasonable. With the amount of volume they produces whether it's for a new class or a rush before an occasion the cop shop delivers! The quality of their clothing is exceptional. If you even need something custom they are sure to accommodate you as well! I've been coming to them for everything for over 10 years and wouldn't go anywhere else! read more

I went there for one specific item. The two women working could not be bothered to interrupt their personal conversation to offer assistance. When I asked, one woman barely pointed, and sent me to the wrong display. I would only shop there as a LAST RESORT. read more

Cop shop is the best place!! Amazing people that are working there and they will go the extra mile to get what you need!! Highly recommend

I have spent numerous time in this store and have NEVER witnessed at any time that people of color or from various sectors of law enforcement have been ill-treated or treated any differently than ANYONE else. There is, in fact, only so much space in the store so I assume stock is based on volume/popularity. But I have also seen that in the rate event that they don't have something you need, they offer to get it asap or assist you in where else to get it so you don't have to wait. I have also seen when they request ID because the purchase is something official and is never based on someone's appearance. IT is the law and professional law enforcement personnel all over the State are glad they do it every time. The Cop Shop wants to make sales, of course, but they are so much more about SERVICE. What is wrong with people these days..... read more

I been here few times for different stuff but this time I got few mini shields made here. They were friendly and made the shields in less than three weeks. Whenever I am in need of police stuff this is the first place I stop. read more

My go to place for all my needs great selection of uniform apparel ,equipment, gifts etc. everybody behind the counter is extremely friendly and helpful , this is a family run business for many years now and it shows, prices are also very reasonable, check this place out and you will not be disappointed read more

As an AFRICAN AMERICAN law enforcement officer in nyc, I found this establishment to be lacking greatly in customer service and KNOWLEDGE of the various branches of uniformed personnel. People of color should not be carded based on appearance. All patrons should be carded upon entry to prevent civilians from impersonation. Furthermore, this establishment does NOT provide NYCDOC with the same service as PD/etc and the availability of merchandise for DOC is limited to none. Why is that? Maybe the staff here is uneducated as to what the agency entails and the importance of the position we hold in law enforcement. It is IMPERATIVE that the staff is RETRAINED immediately. I am disgusted by how my colleague was treated and I refuse to purchase anything here again. read more

Horrible shop EXPENSIVE and the name brands they use are CHEAP!!! Also the service is HORRIBLE!!! The women in there are rude!! I would never shop there again!! I rather travel to QUEENS or even Brooklyn !! ‍ read more

Lady at the desk was nice. Buuuut I had this place put patches on my shirt. When I got to work and walked outside after roll call...people noticed the patches were quite right. Now I have to go all the way back to the store for them to fix this and hopefully it wouldn't ruin the shirt by moving the patch around. read more

Cop Shop - Crooked patch - Uniforms Near Me - Massapequa, New York

I don't know what the deal is with the bad reviews. I've been here twice and both times they were very helpful and friendly. There was a guy buying t shirts today and they were helpful with him as well. As for the prices....look, supply and demand baby. If you need it fast, they may have it but if you're looking to get rock bottom prices, go to your equipment section. I'm too busy and prefer convenience so this place works for me. read more

This place is horrible. Every time I've gone here the workers are nasty and rude; the owner isn't any better, either. They obviously don't care if they lose customers because, unfortunately, they are the only place that is convenient for many in Nassau County. However, I will no longer spend my money here. I'd rather drive to Suffolk County than step foot inside this place ever again. I suggest others do the same. read more

I have been going to this shop for years as a member of law enforcement and spouse of law enforcement. The service has always been exemplary. The stock in store is excellent and they've helped me order items I needed they don't usually stock. This shop is open to the public but specific law enforcement items such as uniform items I have always needed to show ID for. This is standard with all the law enforcement shops I've purchased from including the shop run by the department. I have witnessed a great deal of compassion from the owners of this establishment over the years. They have run countless fundraisers and drives to assist law enforcement and civilians during difficult times. I also had to run to them before attending the funeral for PO Ramos because I'd forgotten my white gloves at work, not only did they give me gloves but they gave me a whole bag of mourning bands they handmade. I love this shop and will continue to go to them for all my needs. They have a great kids section too and I've made some really nice baby shower gift baskets for friends and coworkers in several different agencies. read more

I did not want to even give this store 1 star. Went there recently and was treated VERY rudely. The Officers that came in while I was waiting for help were treated differently than I was. I had an FDNY EMS jacket on and it seemed as though I was "below" law enforcement. I was there for 3 pins for a Class A uniform, I was told I couldn't take a picture of the pins I was about to buy to make sure that they were the correct ones. The other pin was a name plate and I was treated rudely again when I told her the name "too quickly". I will NEVER go there again. read more

Terrible service. They were to busy filling their faces with Chinese food rather than help a customer at the counter. They were staring at me while eating. I go way out of my way to promark. This was not the first bad experience I've had with this place plus they have ZERO knowledge about the products they sell. They are highly overpriced. S STAY AWAY...... read more

I was looking for a present for my Grandpa who is retired FDNY. I was helped by an employee named Jackie and she was absolutely incredible. She helped me figure out what to get my grandpa and did everything she could to make sure I had the gift the same day I came in. My grandpa is going to love it. I always loved this place! read more

The woman behind the counter is always warm and welcoming. I appreciate the small talk as I look around the store. Will be returning again and again! read more

In general I hate these stores because they sell to a specific type of customer (cops/firefighters) and there are only so many places to go, so they pretty much have you over a barrel. This place I found a bit different. Very friendly staff. They were well stocked and compared to other police/fire equipment stores their prices were rather reasonable. Extensive inventory good convenient location. I like it. read more

Excellent store. Always helpful & friendly staff. I have bought shirts, a jacket, wallets, belt keepers, gloves, ties and several other items here at various times and they have always had what I needed and they're only 5 minutes away from me which is another plus. I have never had a negative experience here. Yes, sometimes they are quite busy and have a long line but I don't consider a lone line a negative for a store. They give personal one on one service for all of their customers on line so this is understandable to me. The only thing I would mention is that the last few times I have gone there, they don't have any mourning bands, they always say they will be making them soon. Please make some mourning bands! I need them! Other than that, I will continue to come here whenever I need something for work. read more

I've come here a lot over the past 5 years and have always had good service. Sometimes they do get crowded but I've never felt ignored. They have been courteous and professional every time I've come. Surprised at the bad reviews read more

I find this place pretty useless if you're actually on the job. The place caters more to buffs buying apparel for their families, friends, and relatives and not to actual first responders. In uniform apparel, I found their selection very narrow, and they did not offer the diversity of brands found at other shops. Additionally, their uniforms are kept in the back so you can't even see them without asking. That said, their leather selection is one of the best I've seen around. Their staff is also rather friendly but not the most knowledgeable. Some items they'll have, others they won't. It's worth stopping in locally, otherwise call first. read more

The balls it takes to charge as much as 6x the amount for merchandise that an academy does, for inferior quality is ludicrous. Bought collar brass.. conplete junk. Tried this place a few times. Wont be going back. read more

The absolute best uniform and buff store on Long Island. I go here for all of my uniform shirts and equipment, as well as for t-shirts and sweatshirts. They will put patches on your uniform shirt and it will usually be ready a few hours later. There has always been several people asking if I need help every time I come in, even if I'm just looking for a t-shirt to buy. read more

Incredibly rude, nasty staff, including the owner. Poor selection of actual uniforms. You're better off getting something online.
