I placed a jewelry order online to be picked up in-person at Massapequa Macys. The positive of this review is the order was ready in 2 days for pickup. The Sunrise Mall is run down as well as Macys. The Walt Whitman location is much nicer. I spoke with 3 customer service women in the fine jewelry department. Sales woman #3, Eva, was the most unprofessional, non-caring, bouffon who had no idea what she was doing. She asked several times what my name was & had to ask the manager many questions about my on-line order. It was the most unpleasant shopping experience from a woman who clearly dislikes her job. Christmas is around the corner so happy I got a jump on shopping b4 the store gets busy bc her attitude and lack of knowledge makes for a bah-humbug experience. read more

Just left the Mac counter and Dominque did my granddaughters makeup for prom. She did an AMAZING job! My granddaughter looked totally different, she doesn't wear makeup, but said she feels beautiful, that warmed my heart, made the process of finding the dress and everything totally worth it. I didn't have daughters so I was so honored when she asked me to do the honors. Thank you Dominque for putting the final touches on my granddaughter. Visit Date: December 11, 2018 The time has come...for my son to start sleeping in his own room much to my chagrin, so my husband and I came here to buy him a bed that he will hopefully grow into and that I will be comfortable sleeping in for a little bit since I will be bed sharing with my son to transition him into his own room and to eventually get him used to sleeping alone since he's bed shared with us pretty much his whole baby and toddler life. My husband took care of the business of picking out a bed, signing the papers and paying for it since we came to the store with our son. As parents of a toddler one of us runs around after the boy the other one usually my husband ends up taking care of the business we need to attend to in whatever store we're in. TEAMWORK! My son and I snuggle tested a few different beds, the sales man we dealt with was very nice and understanding I forgot his name but he was awesome. He didn't give me a hard time about letting my son play on the sample beds and he was very appreciative that I thought to take my son's shoes off while he was playing on the sample beds. As far as I can tell he was courteous and helpful to my husband as well. My experience at this Macy's was pleasant enough and I'd come back again in the future! read more

I want to rate this Macy's higher but I just can't. I greatly prefer to do all my Macy's shopping online now. My by far greatest complaint is the checkout lines. I spend longer on line every time than I do shopping. Service is unbelievably slow here. My second complaint is the sales people. The ones in perfume/makeup/jewelry are insanely persistent and it's impossible to walk in or out through there without them all trying to reel you in. The rest of the store? Was lured here by the grand opening promotion of $20 gift cards for the first 100 people. Comparable to the location in Melville, but seems to be a bit smaller in terms of clothing selection, especially dresses. The advantage of going here is that it is attached to a regular Macy's so it is easier to compare prices between the two stores before making a purchase. They have "juice bar" where you can charge your phone. Store is clean and in order so far, but it is just the first day. Prices are comparable to Marshalls. read more

Once I finally reached someone (assumed to be the manger) to explain and resolve the situation, I was confronted non professionally with the response that they cannot open until specified, which was differing from the website leading me to come at the time I had from a decent distance away (mind you gas is $5 per gallon). To corporate: work maintaining fluidity between your websites and physical locations. Also better train your staff to handle these situations while maintaining customer satisfaction instead of leaving them pissed off for lack of better words. read more

I come here often and It seems when I come in the mornings the gates to the mall are never opened on or close to the time they should be. I understand a minute of two but 5+ minutes?! While I occasionally purchase dress clothes from Macy's because I find the quality to be worth it for the few extra bucks, I cannot believe that a thinner than average weight t-shirt is priced at $80. I know I should expect the prices to be a bit higher than the other dept stores here, but that is just plain nuts. It should come with a rubber hand to smack yourself with. :-P The store is fairly organized. They could definitely use a few more people on the floor in some depts. I would definitely return here for business attire, but as for my casual wear I'll stick with other area stores. read more

THE MAC STORE IN SUNRISE MALL IS AMAZING!! It's always a little nerve racking getting your makeup done. You spend a decent amount of time in a chair and you have NO idea what you really look like until you get a finished product. Well let me tell you, this past weekend I made an appointment to get my makeup done and it came out AMAZING! The person who did my makeup is named Carlene and she did a fabulous job. This review is for Macy's.com, not the store itself. I recently ordered a sheet set off a bridal registry. The item was shipped directly to the bride-to-be unfortunately. The day before the shower, I noticed the item was on sale for 75% less. I was mortified! I called Macy's and was told that the adjustment policy was 10 days and that the recipient would have to return the item and rebuy it at sale price or they could offer a 15% adjustment. I responded that this should be an exception since it was bought on a bridal registry and I should be able to have a price adjustment up until the date of the shower. They would not budge. I have been going to this Macys since the Mall opened in the 1970's and Macys was my first credit card. Never had any complaints before but the last few times I went there you cannot find a person at a register to take your sale. Seriously understaffed and under motivated. I went there Friday morning Memorial Day weekend(5/25/18) and I could not get anybody at a register. I asked multiple people-"do you work here "and I was pointed in another direction. Needless to say they lost the sale but I don't think they care. I have never seen the store that bad it seems like nobody is in charge and those that are there are extremely slow. This Macy's location is oddly situated at the Sunrise mall. The clothing line is limited here, in regard to size and selection. They do carry Calvin Klein items for men and women as well as Michael Kors handbags, which is probably their saving grace. The managers here are often hard to track down, so good luck if you have an issue that requires management assistance. The one main issue here is with store manager, Linda. This woman is supposedly in the building but is never available. The truth is while she is around, she is not in the building! Linda and assistant manager Frank, are outside most of the time smoking cigarettes. Linda is spotted in the far corner of the building, near the parking lot facing the train tracks overpass. I have personally seen her commiserating there with Frank and another department manager. When paged through the walkie talkie, Linda tells a department manager to handle all customer service issues. The problem is that customers want to speak to her, the store manager and she simply shirks her duties and responsibilities. This is an unprofessional way to conduct business. There are some associates who are very friendly and willing to assist customers. However, there is one nasty associate here named Lena. She works in the men's department. This woman is condescending and rude. She will refuse to honor Macys coupons and yells at customers. She says "I can't help you with this and I'm only doing my job!" Avoid her unless you enjoy being spoken to in a derogatory manner. Bottom line, this Macy's location is ok if you need basic clothing, such as loungewear and accessories. High end merchandise, namely designers, are limited. Some associates will assist you in checking from the in-store ordering system. While others will tell you to go home and order online yourself! It's hit or miss here. If you want to shop on the island, your best option is to travel a few miles away to the Roosevelt Field location in Garden City. They have a vast selection of merchandise, designers and better equipped staff and available management. read more

If John is in, go right to him. He's super friendly and you can trust him that he will get you what you need (and then some). Also the people at the Clinique counter are ok, they also get the job done. Everyone at the perfume counters are always nice and helpful. As for the people on the floor for accessories and clothing, some of them can be kinda nasty. So needless to say, it's a hit or miss in my opinion. read more

After having a very unpleasant experience at the Mattress Firm in West Babylon - I posted a Yelp review if you want to read.... I took my 81 year old mom to the Mattress department at Macys in the West Field Mall in Massapequa ..... She was still shaken by the rude treatment we encountered in the other store.... and didn't even want to go.... but I was able to persuade her .....she was very much in need of a new mattress.... we had a wonderful experience with Salesman Marcus and Salesman Frank ...both of these gentlemen treated my mom and I with the utmost respect ... We tested all the beds .... with her pillows of course...... both of these men went above and beyond to accommodate us.... we left very happy and satisfied .... they helped us pick out the perfect mattress ... box spring and frame.... it didn't end there ......Frank even helped mom pick out some really nice sheets that were on sale and a mattress cover for an unbelievable price.... my mom was so happy.... still laughing on the trip home....thank you Marcus and Frank you turned an ugly night into a very wonderful shopping experience and I have to thank the rude dude in Mattress Firm because we saved a ton of money at Macy's!!! read more
