According to what I understand, there's a new manager there and this new manager does not know how to order food product to maintain a regular restaurant for a week. From what I'm understanding, the delivery truck only comes on Tuesdays and for the last month I have been at the restaurant on Monday morning to eat breakfast twice both times they have been short on things the first time they had no vegetables or fruit for their omelettes or pancakes. This past Monday I went they had a list of things that they didn't have available the most important being bacon. How can you run out of bacon? I'm giving this a two star right now because of the management and the lack of product needed to produce the things that are listed on their menu properly. The staff was wonderful both times I have no complaints with them and I have no complaints with Denny's itself. But this Denny's was at a truckstop on the side of an interstate. There's no reason that it should be out of product. read more

Jan/31 I was here 12:40 am waiting about 15 mins I was the only one there . A line started to form and she took everyone behind me because they was dining in and I was taking out I left horrible racist white lady will never eat here again read more

We just waited an hour and a half to get our food and it was terrible. some of it was overcooked/burnt, some of it was undercooked, all of it was greasy. No one could eat the fries one of us ordered, all agreed they tasted weird (old grease?). There were only a handful of other diners, the place was not crowded. Our waitress said the manager was also the cook. Well, please hire a real cook or expect to go out of business. We will NEVER waste our time or money here again. read more

Took 30 minutes for a To-go order that was terrible. Extremely loud music coming from the kitchen. Why is the regular waffle the same as the kids waffle? Oh because it's not made fresh. They are the same waffles you can get pre-made from Costco. The 5.99 hash browns were literally one spoon size. Zero stars from me. Please skip this place if you can. read more

Denny's better be careful of the cook Heath, He is going places in life, By far one of the best meals I had in a very long time. No complaints on the food service and all. Thank you so much for a good meal and making it feel like home, Definitely coming back for more in the future. read more

Overpriced, low quality diner turd. Avoid it like the plague. Food was subpar, service was decent enough. Prices are astronomical for what it is. You're better off eating McDonald's. read more

You can usually say all Denny's restaurants are the same; however, this one is better than most. I was worried when I saw it was attached to a large gas station and truck stop. The servers were so very nice and attentive. I ordered the grilled chicken with 2 sides, broccoli and zucchini. Everything was very tasty. It was a clean and very relaxing place. I recommend it when in the area. read more

I was there on Saturday 06-21-25. This was about the worst service. I have had there. Waited 5 minutes to be seated. Even tho this place was dead. On my food it was cold. And to top it off the cook was in the back screaming at the waitress. Very unprofessional and the portions were very small. Not impressed at all read more

My waitress was super pleasant and I was seated promptly. The food came out lickety-split. I had the Super Bird, and after days of burgers on the road it sure was super to get something different. The tables were all clean, as were the floors, so no issues there. It was just a nice quiet place to take a break from the road for a minute and recharge with some decent food. Glad I stopped. read more

Paid for 2 grand slam breakfasts. The waffles were about half the normal size. No hash browns. Bacon was so thin and half its normal size. 2 coffees. Over 50 dollars with tip. I will never go back read more

Please listen to the other 1 star reviews and do not come here, this is absolutely the worst Denny's I have ever been to. The crepe was almost rubber, the hashbrowns were overcooked on the outside and undercooked on the inside, and the sausage links were smaller than my fingers. And to the waitress that served me a disgusting excuse for a crepe, I hope you're reading this, making us pay full price for something I only took a single bite of and asking "do you want them to remake it?" is disgraceful, because no, I don't want to wait another 30 minutes for them to burn the already terribly chewy crepe. read more

This Dennys was absolutely horrible. I should've known better when I walked in the restaurant and there were sticky floors and smelled like urine. We ordered the Mac and cheese brisket and it looked like someone went to Walmart and grabbed some great value Mac and cheese and threw it on the skillet and the brisket tasted horrible. I've been to many Dennys across the country over the years and let me tell you this place and by far the worst. Save your money! read more

we went to Denny's in Catlettsburg today and it was really a bad experience. My husband ordered the nachos and they were half fried greasy nachos in a big pile with a little bit of meat sauce and cheese. The waitress said they were out of pico de galo. She became rude when he asked for onions. She brought out old tomatoes and onions that were clear in appearance. He told her the bachos were terrible and he couldn't eat them. she said all she can do is take 10% off the bill. His ice tea was old and tasted strange. She did bring him a coke in replacement. We never complain about meals and service but this needs shared. The food was awful, drink bad and the waitress became very rude. We will never go there again. Out of 5 stars this place is -2 but I could only post one for there wasn't anything less. read more

I never do stuff like this but yesterday I doordashed the nachos, mozz sticks and a drink. the nachos just had the sauce and shredded cheese. no pico, no sour cream. the marinara on the mozz sticks was poured all over them, obviously making them soggy... and then i didn't receive my drink. today i was still craving dennys so me and my boy friend decided to go. his sweet tea literally tasted like it was 3 weeks old. it was so sour. and then we ordered nachos and the donut holes, the nachos didn't have pico again, but we found out it's because they are out... okay that's fine but the server should let the customer know, in my opinion. we got the donut holes with no icing until maybe 10 min later she brought it. i got the cali sandwich with fries and the fries were cold... it was a terrible experience honestly. also one of the line cooks were sitting on the cooler I think? idk I couldn't tell what it was but he was hitting his vape where everyone could see. someone needs to do something about that place read more

all are good was cold and undone. The hash browns were not cooked and still had frost on them. The eggs were uncooked and not editable.

We arrived at 10:05 this morning, ordered breakfast left at 11:30 only having had beverages. Waitress that said she was the manager for the day just stood around talking instead of pitching in to help in the kitchen. Unless you have more than 2 hours for breakfast, go on down the road to somewhere else. I know everyplace is short staffed but that excuse doesn't fly when you (as the manager for the day) just stand around talking ‍ read more

This is your typical Denny's. My visit was pleasant and the food was good. The cost is comparable to other places. This is located in a decent gas station too. So overall it's a good place to stop. read more

The worst overpriced food I've ever had. The waitress was nice but they were out of everything I ordered and avacado bacon cheeseburger first she said they were outta avocado I said ok I will still take it but then it comes out with no bacon too lol and my fries were cold. Then my mom's chicken bacon ranch sandwich had no ranch or bacon on it when I asked she was like I'm sorry we are outta bacon too. My daughter wanted macaroni brisket skillet but they didn't have any macaroni geez. So she ordered the tenders and they came out near black must of been from overused oil. Then I sit there with an empty drink for at least 15 minutes and just to top the whole experience off I get a bill for 70 dollars geez never going there again I promise you that. read more

Arrived with my husband and son for dinner on the way back home. Server was prompt and very friendly. We placed our order and drinks and my husband's side salad arrived quickly. The remaining of our order arrived about 20 minutes later except for my son's. Once his arrived, she said she had to go back and get his baked mac and cheese, only to come out with the microwave version. She slid it across the table and said we're out of the baked kind, this will have to do. She had plenty of opportunity to tell us that and given him the choice if he wanted it. Never returned to ask if everything was OK or to refill our drinks. Thought it was going to be a decent meal and experience. But after the server was rude and we had to listen to a server and another customer have a conversation so loud you couldn't hear anything but them. This place use to be so good but it gets worse every time we stop. read more

Visit here frequently as it's close to home and we are typically pleased with the food & service. Our last visit I ordered a cup of coffee and was Amazing! Yes, simple item but amazing. The pancakes are always on point. We weren't impressed with the app sampler. The wings were extremely dry and likely old. The mozzarella sticks are very good and the sauce with them tops it off nicely. read more

The food is good when you finally get it. The place needs more help. They are working the few employees to hard to try and stay up. I've been here many times and have never experienced this bad service. Live this place great food and nice people and the steaks are so good. I eat here about three times a week. Love this place

This is a nice pretty and clean Dennys, super fast service, great fit menu items, lots of veggie, chicken and turkey fit options, had the veggie omelet with Cholula and red skinned potatoes very tasty. This Dennys is next to a filling station, but very strange that you are allowed to still smoke at a lot of locations here in Ashland, they do have smoking and non smoking areas but you know how that goes, still a nice place. read more

We normally stop here on our way to Pennsylvania and on our way back because we always seem to be hungry when we are nearby. We like to get gas at the attached gas station. The service can be slow and the food is just average. Seems like they never put the right amount of meat on the grilled sandwiches. The restrooms are clean and the coffee is okay. Lots of parking spaces. read more

Dirty menus is a major red flag. If it wasn't for a major event in my life I would have left. Our food is a major disaster. Our waitress is way too old for a nose ring, a stomach turner. Worse my nachos had a fried spider in it. It's no wonder their business is bad. I have never seen a Denny's that nasty. Run away from this much needed gutted restaurant. read more

We on a long drive home after viewing the solar eclipse and stopped at the Flying J travel plaza to get gas. This Denny's was attached to their property so we decided to have breakfast since the location was convenient and I was sorry I did. There was just a couple of people in the restaurant at 8 a.m., we should of took that for a sign and left to look for a local breakfast place. The waitress was efficient but not friendly. She gave us the menu, got our coffee and tea then immediately asked us what our order was. Except for the Grand Slam special, the breakfast items were expensive for cheap processed food. read more
