Worst Denny's service ever. We ordered an omelet made with egg white, but that's not what we revived. The cheese inside wasn't even melted, and the ham was ice cold. Our toast was burnt black, and wasn't even the correct toast we asked for. We asked for the hash browns to be well done and crispy but seemed to not even be cooked at all. Horrible horrible. Came here on a busy Sunday morning with my mother a few weeks ago, where the wait was 15-20 min. Got seated in 10 minutes, ordered our food, and from there it was playing the waiting game. It took 30 minutes for our food to be served, and the waitress never checked on us during those 30 minutes. I complained to the manager, and the waitress FINALLY told us that our food is coming "because there was a big party ahead of you that ordered." So you can't serve the tables with the smaller amount of guests simultaneously just to make a bigger tip? What an outrage! I should've just waited at IHOP for 30 min (wait time to to be seated) down the street. It has better reviews than this Denny's. So no one expects much from Dennys. But wow, the bar was low and our waitress just decided to try and limbo with devil. Don't even know where to begin, after waiting 5 minutes in a practically empty restaurant ( 2 other customers) I was"greeted" by an annoyed waitress who seemed bothered by my existence. She took us to our booth, then disappeared to Narnia for 35 minutes. A delightful bus boy came over and got our drink order. ( he is the only reason for giving a one star , he earned that star). I tried to get her attention to which she rolled her eyes and put her phone in her pocket. She came over and I asked for refills. Annoyed she asked what are you drinking. When she came back I said this isn't right. She audibly sighed and grabbed the cup. I mean I asked for root beer and you brought a sprite. She went back to playing on her phone. I watched as my food came out and sat on the counter for 15 minutes, by the time she noticed, she brought us cold food and said sorry it's really busy. No one had entered the restaurant. It's the same amount of people you've been neglecting. I stupidly asked for syrup for the pancakes, big mistake, you would have thought I asked her to find the Holy Grail. She came back with the check, no syrup, and stood there. I looked at her and said I'll pay when I'm done. Her response was ".well aren't you gonna fill out the tip line". Just wow. In the 2 hours I've been in your restaurant I've seen you 3 times at my table, was treated like an inconvenience to your life, was given cold food because selfies were more important than your job, and your so rude to stand there asking me to fill in the tip. Tips are given on service and I think we have forgotten this. When I explained that tip stands for to insure prompt service , she said wow you've never been a waiter. Haha news flash I am a waiter! This location was very disappointing to us. The quality of the food was terrible. Over cooked and soggy. Dirty glasses, no condiments on the table and and filthy restaurant over all. Usually, Denny's can be counted on for inexpensive, decent diner food. Not this time. The waitress was great. She tried really hard to make our experience a pleasant one and handle the problems that arose. It appeared that she was the only server for the restaurant during most of our visit, which meant she was running around a lot. The food looked unappetizing when it arrived and most of our group of five was unhappy with it. One member of our party ordered a dish with bacon. it was burned on one side and uncooked on the other. Another person in our group ordered a veggie burger. They brought her a regular hamburger. A third person ordered pancakes, which tasted weird. When we complained, the veggie burger eventually showed up, but a decently cooked order of bacon never did. We gave up, paid the bill and left. You don't eat at Denny's expecting Cordon Bleu chefs, but it was just gross this time. read more

Basically the only reason/time to go to Denny's is after-hours when you're coming back from a bar or club buzzed and hungry ( or for the free birthday meal ), because the food is generally not very good and typically looks nothing like the pictures on the menu. And this Denny's is no exception - the only Denny's that I've been to in the last 20 or so years that was decent was the one in Palm Springs. Horrible experience here today. The place was freezing cold. Waited for 20 minutes to get coffee and In another 10 minutes to order breakfast. None of the usual employees were not there, except Elena and one busboy. Lots of new young kids running around and not accomplishing much. I ordered a slam with sausage links, and got bacon. My friend ordered a slam that included juice, but never got it. Elena never checked on our table and never got a refill on coffee. When we paid the tab, we asked what was going on. If I could post cero stars I would, the server Myra was let's say mediocre to be polite. I order a steak medium rare and that thing was extra rare, now I have stakes all the time , and am a cook. Now when I told her it was to rare that I would like to change to a burger instead, she took the steak back and was talking to the chef, chef was saying that is medium rare. Wish I had taken a picture. So instead of apologizing and making it right she just came to argue that no it is medium rare... the cleanliness of this place? Oh yeah none. Ok,so first off it's not high end dining, I know that. On Labour Day to only have 2 short order cooks on duty and not enough wait staff. It took only 10 minutes to be seated, we ordered coffee almost right away. After placing our breakfast order our food took an hour and 20 minutes and 4 cups of coffee later to be served. My husbands eggs came behind his pancakes and bacon so it was not a pretty picture (our waitress said someone took our eggs). Husbands pancakes and my waffles were so cold the butter wouldn't even melt. I personally witnessed the manager on duty standing almost the entire time we were seated on the other side of the wall that separated the galley from the customers just standing there. This Denny's is going downhill fast. Servers are still very friendly and professional, but the greeters are typically young men covered in tattoos who don't seem to want to be there. The food is also getting worse as time goes by (hard to believe for a Denny's, but it's true). I ordered a chicken fried steak platter. The steak was lukewarm, and the white gravy on top was room temperature and very thick. Quite disgusting. I had it redone, and the replacement was not much better. Denny's insists on using way too much salt to hide the lack of flavor, and this chicken fried steak had enough salt on it's own to meet my daily sodium requirements. The toast was soaked in butter, and the biscuit my wife received was semi-stale. The only real upside was the coffee, which is now the only thing I'll go into a Denny's for. One of the two managers was helpful, but the other seemed too into his own she-male identity to care (not a critique on his lifestyle, but on his lack of professionalism - especially as a manager). This was one of the better Denny's locations, so I'm compelled to think the entire chain is now not worth visiting. If you're looking for a good breakfast in Camarillo, try the Waypoint Café right on the Camarillo Airport runway. Much better food, and EVERY staff member there cares about your experience. read more

When we got seated our table was sticky I asked to have the table wiped. The person that wiped the table wiped it but was not very friendly. The table by the ketchup was a little sticky so i moved the condiment holder and it was so dirty under it. It was obvious they don't clean under it very often. It was gross. So sad. read more

Our family of 5 went to Denny's in Camarillo, California for our Xmas dinner. We were from out of town. This was the only restaurant open in the area. It was very crowded. We each ordered different items from the menu. After we left for our hotel room, within an hour and a half, we all had food poisoning. Lots of diarrhea and throwing up. It was pretty bad.
