I wish I could give 0 stars. For 1, I ordered the Moons Over My Hammy, and the has browns with cheese and sausage links. One side of my sandwich had no meat on it, and the other side was lazily slapped on there. The hash browns with cheese was only cooked on the side with the cheese, the rest of the hash browns was completely raw. BRAVO - the cleanest, nicest Denny's I have ever been in! At first the bad reviews concerned me, until I saw they were 2+ years old, so decided to give it a try. The two hostesses were both smiling, welcoming, and ready to help me get seated quickly. Super clean. Even the light fixtures and the sign behind the hostesses had no dust. It was clear the window sills are regularly cleaned and the table condiment rack was spotless - even the syrup dispenser had no stickiness! What I could see of the kitchen and prep areas were also spotless and dust free. Even their inspection and company notices were neatly arranged and displayed. The menu was expansive and true to Dennys, one could choose breakfast, lunch or dinner. Hungry for breakfast, I had a Lumberjack Slam and the Signature Blend Coffee which gave me a variety of breakfast items to try at a value price. I was easily able to substitute an item. I asked for a lot of butter, my server brought plenty for my whole meal!! Plus she was super helpful and kind. Their coffee was fresh brewed and had a very tasty flavor blend. They have value meals starting at 5.99 and free coffee refills!! So for the same 10 dollars I was spending at that famous coffee company I had a full meal, great service, comfortable seating, an awesome waitress (Kathy), and a clean bathroom. There was lots of seating and free Wi-Fi. When I asked if it would be okay to stay and do some paperwork, they were very accommodating. I would suggest, if you want to do some work, ask to be put in a less busy area. The bathroom had plenty of supplies- including seat protectors, hot water, soap and sanitizer. It was the only part of the building where the age of the facility was evident. However, their commitment to cleanliness shows. All around a great experience! read more

I was really excited to try something new The service was terrible she didn't serve the water at first , we asked two plates ( Crazy Spicy Skillet) and Bourbon chicken skillet and we asked her to make sure no bacon for both plates We had the both plats one with bacon And the other one was cold, she changed the plate after we complained , after 10 minuets we got a new plate and it suppose to be without bacon but in fact they placed the same food in different plate coz we found two pieces of bacon in. She really goes above and beyond to provide great service, despite the fact that the place was understaffed. It's Denny's. Nothing special. They were understaffed like usual. Lots of empty tables, but couldn't seat us. I had the Southwest Turkey Sandwich with soup. Tasted pretty good. Coffee was awful. Waitress dropped off the soup without a spoon then disappeared. I used my teaspoon. She left our check on the table in the middle of the meal and disappeared again. Satisfactory food, spotty servive. Myself, a friend, and her newborn recently came here for a late breakfast! I had the skillet, a little small if you ask me, and a side of French toast ! I did enjoy all of my meal! The waitress got our drink order incorrect, but she quickly fixed it! And my friend had the burger, it more than pleased and a to go box was a must. My boyfriend and I eat here once in a great while if we are in the area and looking for something quick. The food is always good, and I'm not sure why this place gets such a bad reputation. It's not the staff or the food that's bad, it's the ghetto treatment you receive from other diners. We stopped here one afternoon before a movie and an entire slew of 3 or 4 unattractive ghetto bangers in bathing suits and scandalous lingerie came waltzing in like they owned the place, with 4 or 5 kids running about like they were at home. They kept going in and out the front door, yelling loudly at their kids to 'Sit down or I'm gonna smack da shit outta you!'. The manager, clearly upset, walked over and nicely asked them to keep it down and be courteous of the other customers. Did they? No. That only probed them to yell at their kids more, as if they were helping quiet them down, and just making more of a ruckus. My boyfriend and I quickly got boxes and took the rest of our food with us. Other people were following our lead. The manager, embarrassed and apologetic, took $5 dollars off or our dinner. I don't know who you girls were, but seriously, how dare you? Why don't you act like ladies when you go out in public, and if your kids are not properly disciplined and cannot be handled in a restaurant, then don't take them or get take out. Cover up next time too, your massive tattooed cleavage is not something I enjoy looking at while eating. Have a little class. My husband & myself was out in Bourbonnais area on 08/16/16. We were hungry and not really familiar with area decided we couldn't go wrong with Denny's. Boy were we wrong. First clue should have been that the place was practically empty at 2:30 in the afternoon. We sat down in and was greeted by our waitress Alexis (very nice girl). Placed our order, so far so good. I had to use the ladies room. Went in..decent...some what clean not smelly. Went to wash my hands (during this time I noticed a Roach trap in corner under sink..bathroom is a weird place for one. Proceeded to go to sink to wash hands...Lord almighty I almost had a had a heart attack. There was three HUGE cockroaches sitting in the sink, needless to say hands did not get washed. I went back to table. (did not say anything to Husband because he would have caused a scene) Food didn't arrive yet. ( I really was not hungry anymore) Finally food arrived...eggs cold pancakes cold (top one looked like a half dollar) Alexis rectified it by bringing another pancake. Although I really didn't care. Sausages cold and tasted over microwaved. Husbands scrambled eggs were like rubber. Bacon soggy. Really not a good experience at all!! Definitely will not be going to this Denny's again. Hope none of the Chicago Bears pop in here! The local health department should give them a visit. These huge roaches in the bathroom is not a good sign. I am a regular at this Denny restaurant and sometimes I feel I am ignored while I am being waited to be seated or served. The wait on food can be lengthy even on non busy days. If I could give a rating of zero stars I would. It's valentine's night I completely understand it was busy earlier that day. It was about 7p when we arrived when we got there we were told it was a 35-45 min wait for food. My husband and I agreed that would give us time to catch up on each others day. Our server seemed to be friendly so we placed our order. We ordered extra cheese on the nachos and we each ordered a burger. There was no cheese on the nachos and the burgers were completely wrong. When we asked our server about the mistakes she informed us that there wasn't any cheese left for the nachos. I told her I ordered the mushroom swiss burger but there wasn't any mushrooms. I only received one drink refill the whole 2 hours it took to actually get our food. She never came by to clean the extra cups or dirty dishes from the table so we had to eat the main course on a filthy cluttered table. After all of that when we got our ticket to pay they were still charging the extra cheese fee. I was blown away at the poor quality and service this place provided. Never going back! read more
