In Topeka, KS we have the problem with local station towers to the West, North and farther East in Kansas City at nearly 80 miles. To top it off, we have both UHF and VHF stations. After dumping Cox Cable, I discovered many "dual" UHF/VHF antennas really have no VHF capabilities, even from a tower 17 miles away. Thus, we have no local CBS reception. After researching multiple antenna options and speaking with Denny's, I decided to ordered the recommended HD Stacker and Winegard pre-amp due to multiple TV outlets and distance of the runs from my network distribution hub. When the technician found out I was installing the antenna in my attic, he indicated I would not be able to pull in the KC stations. The order was placed on Jan 3 and received on Jan 9. I mounted the antenna on a 12 foot mast in our attic (we have a very high pitched roof) at the peak with enough room to manually rotate 360 degrees and pointed the antenna toward the Kansas City stations using a compass app on my iPhone. The pre-amp was affixed within two feet of the antenna lead with the power supply in the basement within my distribution box containing my splitter which distributes to all televisions. Upon auto programming each of three televisions I had outstanding reception with 64 total channels including all local stations, (including VHF CBS), and every Kansas City station with fantastic reception. I would say we do have a slight advantage with reception of Kansas City stations given we are slightly elevated on the east side of a hill facing toward Kansas City but other reviews have noted reception from stations up to 100 miles away. During recent rain, ice and snow the days after installation, reception was still crystal clear for all major broadcasters. As noted by others, I did have to call their customer service number a few times to reach someone. They are a small family company and do not have the ability for customers to leave voice messages, which others have noted to be point of frustration. Overall, I am very pleased with the product and results. Spending a total less than $200 (less than two months of expanded basic cable cost from Cox) I would definitely recommend their products and services. read more

I discovered Denny's Antenna Service while doing internet research on antenna alternatives to cable. I first contacted Denny's, via email, in early September 2016 inquiring about types of TV antennas for my house in Somers, CT. Denny provided excellent advice, recommendations, and was exceptionally upfront and honest regarding what my expectations should be given the constraints I was working with. I ended up purchasing two EZ HD bi-directional antennas and associated hardware from him. I received all the products within one week of purchase. I installed the antenna setup in the attic of my garage. I have to say his input and products are outstanding. Everything is working great and the reception now on both of my TV's is exceptional. 39 stations with crystal clear reception on each channel is amazing. Who needs cable? I couldn't be happier to be able to cut my cable cord effective October 15th, 2016. The cost of the equipment I purchased through his store will payback within a short 5-6 months. I live in rural Kansas and decided to cut the cord two years ago. Since then I've "practiced" with all the junk that's out there, the 150 mile with rotator, the omni directional and the like, they are all JUNK. Then I discovered Denny's Antenna Service. Let me tell you that I had the best customer service rep explain to me what I may encounter if I used the HD Stacker and Winegard LNA-200. After speaking to him I was kind of skeptical because of all my previous experiences with the other junk I had tried. So I ordered the HD Stacker and Winegard LNA-200 keeping in mind that if it didn't work that I'll just send it back. I have a 65 foot tower with and extension of 8 feet mounted on a rotor. This is not an easy task to drop the tower to change the antenna. So I spent my Sunday afternoon dropping the tower and installed the antenna and preamp / booster. Fired up the TV, ran the channel auto tune and got my channels. WOW, what a picture. NO pixelation, NO jumbled audio, just PERFECT, but wait until Monday morning. Why you ask? That's when the reception is at it's worst. So here it is, Monday and not a single glitch. THANK YOU Denny's Antenna Service you have made me a happy camper. I was really unsure about what sort of antenna I needed, and I found Denny's Antenna Service extremely helpful: I filled in the Recommendation Request form on their website, and received a response very quickly, making a recommendation, based on my street address and answers to specific questions about where I could place the antenna and the distance from the antenna to each TV. When the antenna arrived, it was well packaged, and came with detailed instructions; I also found the installation instructions on the website very helpful and informative (I live in Florida, and we'd already got our cable TV outlet hit by lightning this year - which fried 2 TVs - so correct earthing was a big concern for me). The reception I'm getting from the antenna is excellent: I pick up every channel listed on nocable.org - plus some extra ones: 66 channels in total. For the channels broadcasting in 1080i in particular, the picture quality is excellent: it may be my imagination, but I'd argue it looks slightly sharper than the HD image I was getting on cable. All in all, I got great, personalized service from Denny's, and an excellent quality antenna. Very happy. read more

I was getting frustrated when searching for the "right" antenna in order to begin "cutting the cord". So I went on an internet witch hunt and found, "Denny's Antenna Service" which is in Ithaca, MI. He will assist you in making the best choice for your location and, in my case, he suggested the EZ antenna. We are about 12 miles from the broadcast towers. I live in the Phoenix area and was primarily concerned with the heats affect on the antenna...many are mainly plastic. The EZ is aluminum and well suited to all climates so I purchased one. I'm too old to climb up on the roof so I hired an installer who mounted and grounded the antenna for. Channel scan produced 91 channels (many in Spanish) and I won't use them but the national networks are great and in brilliant color. Next we cut ties with Directv and via our ROKU signed up for streaming live tv. A TIVO will be the last component to install in line with the antenna. My installer commented on how much he liked the antenna...it's durability and receptivity. Very happy with this purchase. You will be too. read more

I had real problems locking in on my local ABC channel (12.1), as it turns out this channel was in the VHF freq range. I also got unsteady signals and pixelation on a few of the major network channels during stormy weather. I went ahead installed the HDS , and now are receiving more than 30 channels with exception signal strength. I had a few issues with RG6 cable coming off the 300 ohm transformer, but received superior support from Denny's store to help me resolve these problems. These guys are amazing!! I called Denny and told him our situation. We are in west Fort Collins near the foothills about 60 miles away from Denver. The Denver stations report a weak strength to our location. Denny set us up with an HD stacker with a preamp and all the needed accessories. The equipment arrived on time and it's all quality stuff. We set up the antenna using Denny's website directions. Antenna went up with no issues and we are pulling 60 HD channels with no dropouts or interruptions!! We had previously purchased an antennal (Stacker) for Denny's and it worked so well when we moved to Sarasota we purchased an EZ with mount. The installation was quick and the stations from Tampa are number over 50 from our area. Of course your not going to get the cable pay stations, but supplement over the air with Netflix or Amazon Prime and your pretty well set unless you just have to have those overpriced pay channels brought to you by the cable giants.
