Patrick was working the paint counter. My husband was with me, and wearing two hats. Patrick asked him why he was wearing two. My husband provide an unintelligent answer as he has Alzheimer's. I tried to mouth that to Patrick but I wasn't successful. However, I have the words 'He has Alzheimer's, but gets upset if I say it to other people' typed into notes in my phone for these situations, so I showed it to Patrick. I had grabbed the wrong type of paint for the color I wanted, so Patrick went and brought me what I really needed, and tinted and mixed it for me. We, including my husband, had a very nice conversation while waiting for the paint. When it was finished, he congratulated my husband on the Chiefs' Super Bowl win (his hats), and thanked me for showing him the color match in my phone, to cover for me in case my husband saw me showing him something in my phone Thank you, Patrick, for your extra kindness and courtesy toward my husband and me. And extra Kudos for the phone statement! Nice touch.

Some of the younger people have been helpful. They are also outrageously priced. For twice as much as most other places you would at least think they would be helpful or even nice for that matter. The owner needs to come in and clean up the attitudes of the older folks or get rid of them before they run off all the customers. They obviously don't care about the people spending money there. I would highly recommend going anywhere else if possible. I would prefer to drive into Aberdeen for half the price and a better attitude. Don't shop there.

Anyway, I got everything I needed, including shingle roofing felt, shingles, galvanized nails, etc. at reasonable price. Been in here a few more times, and each time the customer svc has been great. We've come here for everything from RV toilet paper to stone blocks to build a fire pit and anything in between. We've always found what we needed here, I'm pretty sure they have at least one of everything in stock. The staff is always super friendly and very helpful. Usually you can walk in the door, ask where to find something and they know exactly where it is, down to the shelf and what is on that shelf next to it. Great people, great store, highly recommend.

Got a shark bite connection with a shutoff valve. Went and installed the toilet. Everything worked out great. Saved by Grayland True Values excellent customer service. The price was more than fair. No price gouging for sure ! Courteous, knowledgeable, efficient, and fair. Next time I'll go straight there and skip Home Depot.
