Checker Carol is extremely unfriendly. Her rudeness made our transaction awkward. She also used profanity when she had trouble with her scanner. Will buy our Carhart jeans and Georgia Boots online next time. We've shopped there for years and never had this sort of service. Typical Aberdeen shopping experience. Dennis Co was the third place I went to looking for the tool I need. They have one, all they have to do is take my money. That's where things went downhill. I went to the one checkout line with a checker. They guy is talking to the woman who I guess had just bought something, and they went on for a couple of minutes. After a couple of minutes he says he is closed and points me to the other checkout counter that wasn't staffed. So I walk over there, and I was right. No one there, "closed" signs on both registers. I'll give them 5 years to see if their customer service improves, then maybe I will I go back. read more

Every time I have gone in, someone was able to help me through getting things that I would need, and didn't seem to mind when I had yet another question or project. Only once so far have they not had something I needed, and to be fair I could have compromised for something else they did have, but regardless, they told me where else I could go for the pipe I needed which is very generous of them. I prefer to go to an Ace or Lowe's when available, so this store has been a great asset during my move to Aberdeen. read more

Im surprised over the ratings people have given this store. Sure their prices on some things are more, but they are a small store. Overall this is my first stop, then Home Depot or elsewhere if I need something. Oh yes and "Bar None" they have the best fastener and hardware selection in 3 counties! I cant tell you how many times I have needed some random nut, bolt, switch, whatever, and they had it. I think people are too ME ME ME, be nice, be patient and smile, we are all people. Dennis Company Aberdeen nothing but crooks...would not honor sale price on Yeti 18oz Tumblers..although clearly marked now 15.00 still wanted full price of 30.00...lol go back 2 minites later they removed the sale price...couldnt take a picture...only 1 star because you cant have 0. read more

This store is now charging nearly $35 for a packet of face masks (50) while you can get the same on Amazon for less than $14! I will not be using this store again. And the garden supply area is pitiful. read more

Rarely do I leave an entirely negative review, but this is that rare occasion. BACKGROUND: My wife and I have been remolding our house and after working room by room for a year we reached the upstairs bathroom. On March 1 I attempted to pick-up/find a Rust-Oleum product. After not finding it are several stores (three Home Depots, two Lowes, two Ace Hardware, and one McLendon Hardware) in my local area (Puyallup, WA) I began to search outside my local area. On March 2 I called Rust-Oleum directly, which is when I learned that due to a Tic-Tok video that product from Rust-Oleum is nearly sold out nationwide (United States). Their advice was to seek out stores that carry Rust-Oleum products that are further away from population centers, which I did. I searched nearly all Home Depot, Lowes, and McLendon in Washington, Oregon, and Idaho via their internal search engines or calling a store and could not find a single store that had any number of the product. I started calling Ace Hardware locations, beginning with those over 75 miles away. One of my first calls was to the Dennis Company Ace in Aberdeen, WA. I spoke with an associate there; I gave the product name and described the product box. Box description was crucial, it helped me ensure that we were both talking about the same product. I described the box as a kit, that the box was white and green, and made by Rust-Oleum. I was assured numerous times by the associate that they had the product, that she saw it, and confirmed it by UPC. She stated she would hold it for me. March 3, I drove the 75 miles to pick up the product that I was assured was the Rust-Oleum product and was being held for me. This is a considerable trip for me not only in distance but time as well (roughly a 90-minute drive one way). PROBLEM: I arrived at the Dennis Company Ace in Aberdeen approximately at 8:30 am, where I was presented with what I thought would be the Rust-Oleum product, but instead I was given the Homax product. Not only was this the entirely wrong product, but its box was blue and yellow. I was apologized to, but it meant little since the only reason I drove to Aberdeen was to pick-up the product I was assured and promised was there. The associate who had assured me the day prior the product was there, told me that the UPC in their system was switched or crossed with the Rust-Oleum product, which is why she told me they had the Rust-Oleum product. This meant I was lied to twice. First Lie: That they had the product at all (they did not). Second Lie: That the associate saw the product (again the boxes do not look alike and could not be mistaken for the other), it is now clear that the associate only looked at the UPC. This was infuriating, to say the least, the Dennis Company Ace cost me time and resources to drive there only to not find the product I was promised was there. A small amount of credit goes toward the fact they called other Dennis Company Aces in the area to see if they had the product (they did not) and the Home Depot in Aberdeen (despite me telling them I had already called them yesterday). Beyond checking elsewhere and mild apologies for my "inconvenience," driving to Aberdeen for a product that they did not have, they did offer to order the product for me and that I could return when they had it in. This was not acceptable since I did not feel like another 3-4-hour road trip for a single product. I am glad I will not have to ever give this small chain of Ace Hardware any money. Not only that, but this experience has ensured that I will never patron another Ace Hardware again. Ace Hardware's slogan of "The helpful place," in this instance was violated. This Dennis Company Ace store thoroughly failed the corporate slogan, embarrassed themselves, and lost a patron permanently for all Ace Hardware stores. While I know my individual choice may not affect their bottom line much, it is what I can do. I recommend never calling Dennis Company Ace to confirm a product nor hold it for you, you will be grossly disappointed. read more

Dennis Company is great. Local owned, great service most of the time (new employees need better training, but long-time employees clearly get it). The have pretty much anything that a person could need from a hardware/hunting/fishing/gardening/camping/sportswear store, and you don't have to deal with the weirdos at Wally World. Definitely the place to shop for those kinds of needs. read more

Everytime I went to this store I had a awful customer service. First was about a flash light I bought($40) Battery that came with was bad and leaked so I threw it out. Well they don't exchange anything if there is missing something.I didn't my money back I just wanted another product. Then I recently went again for working pants, awful customer service again the lady made faces and was supper loud while talking with me. I will never shop there again. Which is too bad because is locally owned and is well supplied store, you can find a little of everything. But unfortunately customer service is essential and I don't settle for less than good customer service while spending my money in a place. read more
