This store is the most neat , tidy, and organized I have ever seen. While they appear to have arranged everything by size, type and color there were no markers between sizes. This would be incredibly helpful! Absolutely obsessed! I got about 2000.00 worth of name brand clothes for my daughter for school for under 150.00. Including she's and belts and purses. They are awesome! It use to be my favorite thrift store, much better than the local goodwill that is also in the area. However they have had a recent turn over of staff and the new staff isn't as friendly as they use to be. The prices also seem to be going up. So I'm a little disappointed with the directions they seem to be going and I hope this isn't something that continues in the future. read more

The smell made me not want to continue shopping. Like cat pee and old farts. Not much size organization which is normally okay for a thrift store, but this is a hot mess. The back room looks like a huge fire hazard. They do have triple color tags on Sundays & 50-75% off on several other days. And they do have a lot of items, just be in the mood to sift thru some of it. Oddly, there were a lot of Ab Loungers. And the prices are really fair. Cheaper than many Value Villages. I love this store. It's really the only one I bother to go to. Totally half price on everything in the store twice a week. Seriously. And if you spend over $20 (easy) you get other deals like 75% off clothes the next Sunday. That makes this place on B Street the cheapest thrift store in town. read more

It's really big and crammed pretty full, so there's lots of stuff... but the quality of items is not great (half-empty used lotion tubes, used schoolkids' notebooks that are full of class notes). The assortment of items feels more like a yard sale than a thrift store - things seem very "as is." Prices seem pretty high for what you get, like the Target shopping tote that costs the same here as it does new! Seems like it's all priced high to cancel out the frequent 30% discounts, so I doubt how much of a deal you're really getting. The staff seems friendly enough and somewhat willing to negotiate on prices, if you're persistent. My boyfriend wanted just the lock off a bike, but they initially refused to sell it separately, then told us the bike would be 50% off the next day but they wouldn't honor that price today (uh, thanks?). Finally they agreed to sell just the lock when they saw we were ready to walk out without it, but it was way more of a hassle than it needed to be. I'm sure you can find treasures here if you come back regularly, but I wouldn't bother going out of my way for this one. read more

Thrift City is full of stuff. The prices are higher than Salvation Army (mostly) but there are still some really good deals. Also, the color tag sales are pretty awesome. (Today, white and blue tags were 75% off and yellow tags were 50% off). I got a lot of things for about a quarter each! The employees were very kind to me and very quick. Another perk? They have pretty long hours. Most days they're open until 8. Also, Wednesdays and Saturdays, everything is 30% off, and on Tuesdays (I think), there is a senior discount. One downfall? They STAPLE the tags to the garments. Yeah, so you have to pick the staples out and try not to ruin the clothes you just bought. read more

My favorite local thrift store! I find it to be highly organized, although it is true that some clothing is sorted by color and style rather than size. Also if you bring a receipt for earlier in the week, you get 50% off on Saturdays. There are some real bargains here. Electronics can be hit or miss and are sold as-is, but you can plug them in to test. Furniture can be a bit overpriced in my opinion but that said I have bought a few good pieces here. The staff have always been very friendly and helpful to me. Also I would say that the clothing and other items are clean. Yes they do staple the tag, it is a bit of a bother. And whatever they clean the clothing with has a strong odor. But that is ok with me as I feel confident I'm not bringing bugs into my house. I wash them anyway and they come out smelling just fine. read more

They are the best second hand store in aberdeen!!! The store is always clean and in order I have never once seen this store in a disaster. The people working here are so nice within my second visit I got to meet the owner, he is such a nice person. Everytime I come I always find some thing to buy from clothes to books. This is a "used items/thrift store" if you want new stuff go to the mall this is one of the best secondhand thrift stores... My hands don't feel like I have to wash them with sanitizer as soon as I get to my car like other thrift stores I've been to. Seems very clean. I did not smell bad orders others had put on their review The staff is pleasant and helpful, the items are not overcrowded - it's easy to walk through the store and look at every item that is on display. Thrift City is incredible! I have walked out of this store with a monstrous pile of clothes having only spent $10-$15. You can find some real treasures. If you don't mind looking around, you can also find some top quality denim and jackets. After every trip here, I always wonder why I bother shopping at malls or superstores. Compared to Salvation Army and Goodwill, this is a much better thrift store. It is the true thrift store experience. Not everything is in great condition, you have to really dig for the good stuff sometimes. But the prices are great! It is not over priced like Goodwill, but has better quality items than Salvation Army. I agree that the biggest downside is the staples!! read more

I purchased a bed from there and it was infested with bed bugs . I took it back of course and recieved store credit. Went back a few days later and they had the same bed up for sale again and some one had already bought it. Very gross read more

Nothing really stood out to me in terms of clothes, but they have a lot of really great knick-knacks and collectible items. I got some old school cameras (a Polaroid, as well as Kodak's version of the instant camera- Kodamatic I think it's called) for less than $2 each... I believe one was $1.50 and the other was $1.75! The furniture isn't the greatest as is but I bought an older entertainment center and put a new paint job and hardware on it and it turned out really nice. The first thing i noticed was that it smelled like a cat box but i thought what the hay let's check it out...well i was excited when i see shelves full, packed even with awesome looking treasure but upon further inspection i realized why. Their prices are thru the roof!! I'm not taking like a lil inflation cuz they are a small business I'm talking 10 year old technology priced at new retail prices. 24.99 for a digital photo frame from 2006???? What is that like 1 megapixle?? Sports games for ps2 and original xbox for 9.99??? I continued my journey and dang they have a huge sales floor but they clearly don't like to sell ANYTHING! in the right management hands this place could make a mint but who ever is running this place needs to be fired. Now!! They are doing a shameful job. I don't think that linoleum has EVER EVER seen a broom mop n bucket and definitely not a buffer. No wonder people have gotten bed bugs from this place.
