She definitely knows what her customers demand. I have sold a couple of pairs of jeans to her and she has given me a great price. She is always looking for True Religion or other high priced name brand jeans. If you are looking for a place to buy or sell designer jeans this is the place. She also has some new apparel including jeans and some tops. Great accessories. I bought a ring there that I wear at least once a week. The store is definitely geared towards young men and women. The owner is very picky about the used clothes she will buy and it shows. All of her clothes are like new. This is the locally owned version of Plato's Closet.

From the moment we walked in, it was clear the shop is run with real care and intention--everything felt thoughtfully arranged, giving it a curated aesthetic rather than the usual clutter you might expect. The store really shines in its housewares section, with a great selection that felt like a mix of practical finds and unique pieces--almost like a bit of Seattle charm made its way to the coast. The ladies behind the counter were genuinely friendly and welcoming, which made browsing even more enjoyable. Prices were low compared to the Goodwills we go to, and we had a great time digging through all the little treasures. It's the kind of place where you can easily lose track of time just exploring. Overall, we found Anchor Thrift to be a fun, friendly spot that we look forward to visiting again.

Angela is the owner and she is wonderful. This is the only store in Astoria where trendy, cool…read moreclothing can be found. Angela, the owner gets to know her clients and provides very personal assistance to us when we enter the store. Her prices are similar to Macy's or Nordstroms, but her clothing is high end and she pays well for her pieces. She does NOT purchase cheap, itchy clothing from China and then overprice them like "Free People and "Anthropology" - sorry I love Free People and Anthropology but they are high priced and the clothes fall apart or are very itchy sometimes. Proving you don't always get what you pay for, but at 4 seasons clothing you DO!! The person who complained, and referred to the owner as dishonest because she refused to honor a sale that had ended on the day of her visit, lacks understanding the term "dishonest." It is not dishonest to place items on sale to motivate higher sales on a particular day, particularly in the case of small businesses that need immediate sales in order to make payroll or rent obligations. And, large stores have sales for special holiday events Memorial Sales; 4th of July Sales, et cetera, and when the holiday ends the sale also ends. That is called doing business! The owners of most businesses in small towns, contrary to popular belief, are NOT rolling in money and wealthy. I have friends who own businesses here in Astoria, and it has been very difficult for them to keep their doors open because we have weather that keeps our small population of 10,000 in doors, and our tourist season is limited in months due to our weather. Many store owners in our town, will have a sale in order to move merchandise so they can make payroll or rent that doesn't mean they can actually afford the sale, typically with sales owners lose money but they are able to meet their short goals to keep their doors open (payroll, rent, utilities, etc.)
