Sitting at a desk, lifting weights, and improper posture had me feeling like it was time. I've been to a few different chiropractors in the area, some being better than others. While I've had temporary relief from those visits, some lacked that "OH SH*T" moment that certain alignments give. Maybe it's my guilty midnight social media doom scrolling of chiros on IG doing some insane cracking that had me searching for something more. I certainly found it at SF CONNECTED. Stanton explained his process, gave me a short diagnosis based on how I was feeling, and got to work. He was able to give me a better range of motion in my neck and lower back. He was able to successfully employ a Y-strap adjustment, after which I'm sure I briefly saw Jesus riding a unicorn amid a flash of light. Believe the rumors: a safely executed Y-strap adjustment is life-changing. I felt that spark travel from my neck down to my toes. I left feeling more upright and aligned. I also appreciate that he didn't try to push a long-term care program that I've experienced at other places. My back and neck did feel better after a few visits but that was partially due to the assigned "homework" of exercises and icing. The appointments start on time which is refreshing. They are super communicative and very friendly in the office. However, these are the shortest appointments I've ever had at a chiropractor. Paying a $35 copay for a total of 5 minutes of care which is mostly stretching didn't feel like a good value. When my insurance changed and I wanted to discontinue care I was told the law does not allow abandonment of care. This feels a lot like a hard sell of chiropractic services and I'm not a fan. I still get multiple texts and emails weekly from the practice despite unsubscribing and no longer being a patient.

That's when I went to Dr. Aubrey for a consultation/initial assessment/started a treatment plan. I was skeptical of chiropractors at first, but getting adjustments have been helpful in providing instant relief. Right after my accident, I was not able to move my neck enough to even drive safely (literally could not even look up at the sky). I was bedridden for a few days so my neck got super stiff. After the first session's adjustments, I got way more range of motion in my neck. Of course it isn't a magical cure, but Dr. Aubrey was able to get me better mobility and pain relief. When assessing me, Dr. Aubrey noticed things about my movement that I didn't even notice myself. The whole time I thought it was just my neck, but he noticed that my back was pretty stiff and my leg had some swelling from slamming on the brakes. So we treated all of those areas. I've finished my treatment plan and now I can say I am back to where I was before the accident. The office is convenient to get to, with a parking lot for patients.
