Dr Simon Yu is the best Chiroprator I've utilized to care for this aging body. I've been a very active outrigger paddler, mountain/road bicyclist, general carouser which has caused me to twist and turn my body in ways it wasn't designed to do. Hence, Dr Simon. What's also important to me is that Dr. Simon is a professional at his practice, is adept in the nutritional aspects of people like me (a pro-class weekend warior) and he is also an active person outside of the office. He can relate to the types of injuries that can occur when a middle-aged athlete (like me) thinks he can scale Mt Everest in a day. So I had these ridiculous back pains and was unable to turn my head to the left. I needed to see a chiropractor so naturally, I went on yelp to do some research. I saw that Dr. Simon was YOKED and was more cut up than a logger going at a tree. I had to see this BEAST of a doctor. Things happen for a reason right? (True story) Anyways... Dr. Simon takes cares of his patients well. I'm 24 years young with back pains that only a 40 year old should feel but Dr. Simon took care of that. Misaligned ribs and a vertebrate that's sticking further out than it should have were all taken care of in about 2 months of regular visits. Sessions may be short but you will certainly walk out feeling instant relief. I'm glad to have Dr. Simon as my chiropractor and friend. There are numerous things I admire about Dr. Yu, he is one of the most positive persons I have ever met. I tend to fret a lot and his positive outlook always reminds me that things aren't so bad and that ALL things are possible and backs are fixable and hips and necks and knees and stress and so much more...... I suffer from a chronic illness which has my bones feeling great one day and horrible the next day and his staff has always been able to help me with an appointment, real quality people eager to help in any way possible. Dr. Yu has been a great listener; he promotes a healthy diet and nutrition, a positive mind, education, cleanses and exercises. I probably like one of the things others might not, short appointments, get me in, to the point, to the adjustment and get me out and with that being said, I have never felt rushed during our appointments and if I needed more time, he's there too. Simon is sooooo wonderful. I had heard of him briefly one time before the exam and had put it on the back burner of things to do - you know, my health. But one day, I walked up the 3 stairs from my garage into my kitchen, I sneezed and pulled something. It felt as if I "threw my back out". I sucked it up, went to work but as the evening went on - I was in pain. The exam was quick, with X-rays. I was sad to not be adjusted on the spot but understood that Simon had to know what we were dealing with. I go weekly now to be adjusted, I will continue for 6 more weeks. The appointments are quick and painless. I didn't think they would take my Kaiser but looked up my coverage and found out I was covered even without a referral. Awesome! read more

I am so glad that I found this Chiropractor doctor! It has been a God Sense for me, especially since I was having such bad pain and spasms in my hips, legs, thighs for over year and half and no one would help me until finding Dr. Simon at a health faire in Millbrae 2 months ago. I still get some flare ups and when the weather is cold or I am tired, but not like before where I couldn't even sleep at night or anytime and be in terrible, terrible pain all the time. I've been seeing Dr. Yu for wellness for over a year now and I really believe that chiropractic work does great things for the body. I am a regular now (every 2 weeks) and I go in for adjustments. I've been going to Dr. Simon for a few months now for my lower back pain and have been feeling so much better. I only have one other chiropractor to compare him to and I knew Dr. Simon was better from the get go. My previous chiropractor did the same adjustments on me every time. Everyone's adjustments happened in the same room so I could see that he was basically doing the same adjustments on everyone else too. On the contrary, Dr. Simon changes his adjustments on me based on how he thinks I'm doing and any additional information I give him (i.e. if I've been carrying my baby a lot more that week). The adjustments happen in a private room separated by a curtain instead of a door. After each session, I go on the machine that jiggles your body to help strengthen my core. The front desk staff has always been friendly. The only thing to note is that the office is closed for quite some time during lunch hours. read more

Dr Simon is my chiropractor too. He is great at making adjustments that really do help. the problem is always better after he works on me for my back pain, or neck pain. The thing i like the most is that he has an eastern philosophy about his treatment. To me it is much better than some chiropractors that sort of treat you like a a piece of machinery that needs repair. instead simon takes in more of the bigger picture and helps you with your health overall. i always find this to be funny because i told him that if he does too good a job, and i don't need help then i won't be paying his office anymore money. his reply was something like that's fine, it's better for you the patient. he is moving to san bruno soon and that's a shame cuz i live directly up the hill from his millbrae location. but it's good for him, it means he is doing well. read more

Dr. Yu has continually provided amazing health care for me. I like going to him because he provides a whole body approach. He provides me with nutritional, exercises, and life style advice as well as chiropractic healing. He is basically the opposite of a large HMO who just wants to funnel you through and treat as little as possible. I practice martial arts. One cold morning I did a jump inside kick and over twisted my spine. Ever since then my workouts were no longer the same. I would wake up in the middle of the night in pain. During practice warm up my right butt would feel numb, that is when I realized I must have some spinal damage the was affecting my nerves. Took me SIX months before I finally decided to get it checked out. Without making an appointment I just walked into Dr. Yu's office because it was closed to my work place. I have since prepaid for 10 more visits, twice a week. By the 6th visit I no longer feel the pain in bed. I was able to continue doing what I like by the time my appointments were done. About Dr. Yu. His appointments are short about 10-15 minutes, some light conversation and he gets right to work, because seriously who have time for long doctor visits? Get on the bench and he cracks your back, neck, etc. lol Get it done and get out. I like that. Dr. Yu is also strong (dude, have you seen his pictures?), so he has the strength and control to go as gentle as he needs or a little extra if the situation requires. Parking was easy, few spots right out front. Receptionist Amy is cute, keep using her. lol Not saying my back is all *perfect* because due to age some sports injuries are there to stay, but at least I was glad I got the problem under control. read more

I have been working with Dr. Simon now for about 3 months now. I can honestly say that he is the only specialist who has helped relieve pain and tension in my scapula (shoulder blade). After my accident I saw Simon for some adjustment. After seeing him couple of times I don't see any improvement. Specially he only spends 5 min with you and send you to next room to stretch yourself using some equipments. So I decided to stop to see him. I received bill and from worldwide chiropractic. My case was still open with insurance company so I called Simon's office and told them I didn't get paid yet and my lawyer will send check when case closes. They said it's ok they understood. I got letter from collection agency behalf of Simon office after while..? So I called them and told them my case is still open I didn't get paid yet. They didn't care . Ask me just to pay them. It cost me extra $400 cause collection agency fee. If you have case with insurance, I strongly recommend you to go see some other chiropractic . Otherwise their billing department have no patience dealing with your insurance company. They will send your bill to collection company so you end up pay extra money. Or your credit will screw up. Lady dealing with bill is lazy and not easy to reach!!! read more

Let me say right off the bat this review is really 5 stars but I know yelp will bury it if there are too many good reviews. A friend recommended me to this place when I was having some shoulder pain. I asked for a massage and I was helped by Jeanelle. I was a little nervous receiving from a woman, but she was really respectful and understanding. She gave clear and concise directions, she went into my history and asked questions to give me the best treatment, and she listened very carefully and answered any questions I had. The massage was awesome, like seeing your favorite movie for the first time. She found painful spots that I wasn't even aware of and worked on them carefully and she would check in to make sure the level of pressure was comfortable. This woman has some serious magic hands, and I for sure am going to be coming back to her as often as I can. I was in a car accident 20 years ago and the trauma of it has caught up with me. I suffer from very low back pain and neck pain. There is nothing worse then that pain! I went to Dr. Yu after trying several other methods without lasting results. On my first visit with Dr. Yu, he did x-rays on my neck and low back. I was impressed because even though I had been to my regular Dr. countless times for pain, they never took x-rays! After Dr. Yu explained the x-ray findings, it became much easier to understand what was causing the pain and how to treat it. I had my first adjustment, and it was the BEST I'd ever had in all the years I've been dealing with this. Dr. Simon is the best chiro I've ever had. I've had several...they were all ok...but don't really hold a candle to the care I've gotten here. He does X-rays on location and can now make appointments and schedule online and through facebook. On top of being a highly knowledgeable chiropractor, Dr. Simon is also very active in the community and often shares what he's been working on. He also comes from a sports and body building background and truly understands the athlete...something that was lost on every other chiropractor I've ever gone to. Dr. Simon has truly changed my life. I've suffered from severe chronic migraines for about 8 years. After I had my daughter almost 10 months ago my hormones were totally out of whack and had ended up in the ER 5 times in 6 months.
