I could give negative stars if I could, my grandma asked me to check her back because it was uncomfortable and I discovered this big blister that was from her treatment yesterday. Totally unprofessional. She went to treatment for her stiff neck and they treated with acupuncture and acupressure. She said she felt it was a little too hot in the lamps and was yelling excuse me but no one heard her or checked up on her and she didn't want to move because of the needles and eventually the pain went away probably because of this! After more than 5 sessions, we are finally clear on my insurance situation. They unfortunately don't accept my insurance card..... I have to cancel my appointments here. I hope to revisit in the future when insurance is refreshed... I need to give them credit that I enjoy my sessions here overall. My first time getting acupuncture was here. I had whiplash for months trying out massages and chiropractors to fix it but nothing worked until i tried acupuncture. The staff were well knowledgeable and the acupuncturist I worked with immediately told me other concerns he had for me just based on looking at my tongue he was able to tell me I was extremely deprived of sleep (at the time i had only been getting 3hrs every night.) I only needed about 3 visits to fix my shoulder and even with the pain so close to my spine he knew the exact points to get me back to moving normally again. I barely felt the needles due to the skillful technique used by the acupuncturist (i do have a night pain tolerance but i've heard nightmares about other clinics being too harsh when putting in needles). I had TCM, Acupuncture, years ago for Upper Extremity Repetitive Strain in both wrists under Worker's Comp. Because it was so helpful, I returned on my own for knee, leg and lower back issues which were alleviated by acupuncture. Several months ago, I tried BAYHILL ACUPUNCTURE for continued chronic pain in my right knee and a bone spur rubbing on the underside of my patellar tendon. The girl at the front desk, Kamman was sweet, soft-spoken and explained the different types of Traditional Medicine that Bayhill offers. The area is open and drawers of TCM medicine line one side of the main room. Each treatment room is clean with comfortable beds. There is soft music in the background. My acupuncturist, Dr. Paul Tang, is fabulous. He listens, is concerned with my issues and offers me suggestions to help ease the pain. BAYHILL ACUPUNCTURE is clean, professional and offers various types of Traditional Chinese Medicine. I know that acupuncture does work. The frequency and intensity of my pain and discomfort have decreased, making it easier to perform daily tasks involving my hands, arms, and shoulders. I felt that the acupuncture helped but unfortunately the doctor had very poor hygiene practices. Swabbed my skin lightly to clean with alcohol but ended up touching with his finger tips after and then inserting the acupuncture needle. This can cause an infection and he should know better. Also was a bit rough with needle placement going too deep. I hope this please gets it together read more
