Our family has used this company for 7 Christmas seasons (including this one) to hang lights, garland and wreaths for SEVERAL of our properties including family ranch. Every year just gets better...Steven is kind enough to add a little something extra each time! So when I see 3 stars I am frankly shocked. Then I see that the two bad reviews are from 2017... From what I've observed it's a pretty unique business for staffing as it's so seasonal but Dennington seems to do a pretty great job of retaining the same crews from year to year. I was happy to see Elton again installing in his 8th year! Give them a shot next year or for any special lighting - parties etc. they will not disappoint! read more

Sounds like a answering service trying to make the company look bigger and more professional. Sorely missed the mark. I paid half up front and radio silence! Called daily 2 and 3 times a day and no response. Sandy scheduled me and then no show! Sandy then ghosted me. I needed affordable Christmas lights and found Dennington Decor online. I spoke to Briana on the phone and she was very helpful to answer all my questions. She even estimated the price by finding my house online so it was very fast and efficient. Their team arrived on time and Erin and his partner were very polite and installed our lights very quickly. The same night I noticed that some lights were not working and I emailed them late in the evening. They replied the next morning and fixed everything the same day. We had lights with them last year. That went fine. I had inquired about getting lights this year with them, and received a quote. We decided not to go through with getting lights since my grandmother passed away from COVID and we've been very preoccupied dealing with that. Someone came to my home and I told him that we did not want lights and had never replied to the quote received, let alone confirmed anything. He left. Several days later I received a phone call stating that I can't turn them away like that because they lose business. I told her that we didn't ever actually order the installation. She understood, but called back right after telling that I was wrong because she had an email from me with my credit card info. Those emails were from last year, but she didn't know how to work the computer well enough to see the date on the email. A week later I received an email stating my payment for lights was past due. I replied stating we never had lights so I am not paying anything. I just today received an email stating they're coming to collect the lights that were never ordered or installed. So the level of laziness and incompetence at Dennington has made me run away. They won't be getting a call from us next year. read more

Dennington Decor, from sending an email in October to fabulous installation in early November, as well as working with the scheduler and the guys who came to install the lights, made EVERYTHING easy and BEAUTIFUL for us. Never Hired Them, But They Keep Bugging Me for Payment I called Dennington Decor in mid-November to get a bid on doing Christmas lights hung for us. We needed them done by a certain date before a party and they said they could do it. It took them over a week to send us the bid to sign before they could schedule. They were unresponsive to emails during that time, so we found someone else to hang the lights. They have contacted me at least four times looking for payment for services provided, and to schedule a time to take down the lights that they never came out to hang, nor were actually hired to do. They clearly cannot manage their office well. read more

It was easy to talk to them. Though we had miscommunication at the beginning with regards to the installation of our holiday lights, they resolved it right away, accommodated us, and made us happy. Also, when a number of lights were out, I left them a message on a weekend to report it. The installer manager, Brian, came on a Sunday afternoon to check it out and said that he'll be back with the right ladder. Okay, to start off, we have used them now for 3 years. I told them I didn't have a good experience in year 2, but they assured me things would be different. The takedown was always messy. Plastic clips all over my yard and still on my roof. This year, the takedown was the ONLY thing that went well. Most of the time my lights were up there were burnt out lights. Not to mention this man came to my house recently (at 8 pm) demanding payment. Um, I paid by check to your installer. They did mention the payment missing in an email one time, but I didn't' think anything of it. If there is a payment problem, first look at your employees. Now I see the check never cleared but to come to my house and be a jerk? No., not the way to do things. I will not be using or recommending this service to anyone. read more

I'd used them for 3 years, but they have seriously gone downhill. This was the worst installation I've ever seen. They had to come out 3 times to redo it, and they still didn't get it right. They broke my security camera, they have horribly visible dangling wires that are embarrassing to see in the daylight, and they tried to charge me for timers I never received. To say this year was a flop would be an understatement. I gave them 3 chances to get it right, and each time was disappointed. My wife is embarrassed to have the lights up as they are.
