A lot of potential at this spot. A beautiful location and the dishes coming out of the kitchen looked wonderful, were reasonably priced given the ambiance, but the lack of adequate staff meant everything arrived cold and underwhelming and empty plates and glasses piled up on our table. This situation could have been addressed by limiting reservations or seatings to match the staff capacity rather than allowing an almost full house. If in the area, I would give it another chance maybe at peak summer rather than as they wind down for the season.

Great clam chowder and the absolute best damn lobster roll I've ever bitten into. Service was perfectly attentive and very pleasant.

Meh. Fish tacos underwhelmed and over priced. Chicken tacos were better than the fish. Self-service was excellent and Deck view was good!

What a fantastic place. From the old world seagoing ambience to the entirely attentive staff. Shout…read moreout the Kate for making our dinner a success. The wine list is small but thoughtful. I had the oysters and cod. Others had the lobster pie (a speciality). My sister had the lamb and her son had the crab cakes and lobster linguini. Other appetizers included the smoked trout and focaccia which was exceptional and a reason to visit again all on its own. For dessert we had the tres leche cake and the blueberry cobbler. Everything was great and we are planning a return trip. If I had one comment it would be that they need an after dinner drink menu with a list of ports and scotch's etc. other than that it was simple one of the best meals I've had in Maine.

I had the Maine lobster linguine with Beurre Blanc, arugula, and capers. It was magnificent! My partner had a golden pan fried cod over vanilla scented rutabaga and purple coleslaw. It was delicious. We decided to sit a while and have a night cap at which point we decided on dessert. We had the Maine blueberry cobbler à la mode. What a way to close the night! It was very tasty. Our server, Emma, was kind and accommodating. Should you decide to come, this is definitely the dessert for you. I highly recommend... bon appétit

There are many dishes served and I certainly didn't leave hungry but I wasn't thrilled with a lot of the preparations. Starter featured local kelp and seaweeds- not my thing. Lobster and crab dishes were outstanding. A course of just carrots was good but maybe not as a dinner course. Service was "a presentation" of each course and the overall evening became slow because of it. Dinner started out well timed but there were long waits in the middle. I would go back but would only go when the à la carte menu was available. Oh yah, you have to be on time for the seating so that means being early as it is fairly remote. Aragosta doesn't serve from the bar until the restaurant opens so no pre-dinner cocktails overlooking their great ocean view. We saw people in their cars having cocktails before dinner. Smart!
