Came here for dinner with the boys, so obviously three out of the four went with the hot stone grill, the fourth went with the pork loin and I had the vegetable lasagne. The meals came with salads, chips and sauces on the side though I think the sauces came with the hot stone grill. The boys were all happy with their meat and I enjoyed my lasagne too. I did have the feeling that the broccoli in the lasagne might have been too old by the time it was put in the lasagne, but otherwise it was good.
Dessert was good too and they have some nice options. I really enjoyed the chocolate truffle cake which had some (nice) bitterness from the dark chocolate, it really balanced out the sweetness. The lemon meringue pie however was also nice, but much too sweet for me. When I make anything lemon, you need the sweetness to balance out the twang from the lemon. This lemon pie needed some twang to balance out the sweetness and there wasn't any.
Overall the meal was fine, I can see myself coming back here, but the thing that really made my night? The Den Draeck postcard that comes with your bill. We wrote one to the other girlfriend of the group who couldn't join us because of work and they mailed it free of charge. I love that! read more
