Got the check, once there they would not honor the TYPED, SIGNED BY MANAGER purchase order. Completely wasted my time. I bought my car here but can't get it serviced unless I speak to Diane. There is a recall concerning the fuel tank and I can't get my car serviced on a Saturday because they have no technicians who can work in recalls on Saturdays. I need my 15000 mile service and will gladly go and spend my money at Jeff Haas Mazda at (713) 932-6004. I am providing their number because they offer better service and no I don't work there. Justin from Clear Lake Mazda called and sent up a person to sweep cars with me. A porter took my car from inside the loop down to Clear Lake and left me a loaner car. They did the warranty inspection and completed an oil change. Diane was also great. read more

The customer service at this place is absolutely outstanding! It brings a smile to my face that even though I haven't been to this location that much they remember my name and even other little things about me to talk about while my car is getting serviced. Now the waiting room is nothing spectacular but they have decently comfortable chairs and a TV for you to watch and magazines to read. Also you know exactly when your car is being pulled up because of the big windows. The quality of the service is wonderful also, I haven't had any problems taking my car in to have whatever I needed done to it. Whenever its done if I didn't stick around in the waiting room , they always hit me with a call to let me know its ready to be picked up whenever I'm ready. read more

HORRIBLE. Love my car but they are the most rude people to deal with. Every time I go to have my car serviced they always try and scare me about something being wrong with my car. When I purchased my car they tried to take advantage of me because I am a young woman so I came back with my father to help steer me in the right direction and when I went back a month later to pick up my license plates all of the salesmen gave me a hard time and said " you're the girl who brought your daddy" Recently my brother and sister in law bought a vehicle from them and have experienced the same issues. Went in to shop for a CX-5. Salesman came out to help while I was looking at the cars. All I can say is he was as slimy as they get. I'm an informed buyer. I know the answers to the questions I'm asking him. He lied, misled and was only concerned about selling me a car I wasn't interested in. I expect a certain amount of 'typical car salesman' but he took to the next level. I left out of that parking lot within ten minutes of our interaction. Made a few phone calls to other dealers and drove an hour up to Jeff haas Mazda. Night and day difference in my experience. Bought my CX-5 same day from Jeff haas no thanks to demontrond Mazda. I was in the market to purchase a new car. I was driving a Mazda 3 rental car and I really liked it, so I started looking for options for a Mazda 3 for purchase. I found a nice looking one online at Autotrader.com and it was listed at the Mazda of Clear Lake. I had cash to spend and I was looking to buy a car outright. I arrived at the dealership with my mom and we looked around a little before we were approached by a salesman. We looked at a few different color options for the Mazda 3 and I explained that I wanted to pay cash for a car and I was interested in what type of deal they could offer me. We went into the dealership and he took some preliminary information about me. He asked me how much I was looking to spend and then he went off to get his General Sales Manager. The manager comes over and tells me that the amount I had cash was a little low and they "weren't going to be able to do it" but he might be able to get me into a 2004 Audi or some other car he mentioned. I told him I came for a Mazda, not an Audi. I thanked him for his time and I left. The part that got me was, he let me walk without any resistance. He didn't attempt to work something out with me, try to make me a counter-offer, or anything of that nature. His attitude led me to believe that they weren't much interested in selling any cars that day. Maybe selling cars isn't necessarily the focus of their dealership. I left this location and went to another car dealership where they worked with my numbers, got me a pretty nice deal, and I drove off in a car that same day. I was given false information and was painted a facade by Andrea ,Over the phone I was told a lie. Everything changed once I was in person at the dealership. Jp who I was told was going to be handling my personal information threw me off to Tyrone. Who was unaware of the conversation I had with Andrea and learned I was an incentive for coming in and signing a book. Afterwards I was treated poorly and belittled. What I was instructed to bring with me was no longer suitable. The attitude from jp is indescribable. Just disgusting. Andrea is a liar. Truth is they know you have poor credit and lure you in with an approved loan quoting a decent amount with no money down and no payment for 60 days. Once you're there . You will only be approved with a co signer. Or 7500 with less than 30000 miles or a down payment of 2000. You will only get 7500 approval with 30000 miles or less which they don't have. It is a waste of time and gas! I passed too many dealerships to be told exactly what I wasn't going to get. read more

Dan (salesman) was great. Very friendly and helpful. However the sales manager here didn't give us close to a good deal so we went with another Mazda dealership, we received the same car only with a higher trim and added options for less than what we were quoted for a basic stock trim at Mazda of Clear Lake. I'd suggest shopping around the other Mazda dealers in Houston. read more

We purchased a Certified Pre-Owned 2011 Mazda2. They rushed through the paperwork saying they were trying to get us out of there quickly since we had been there so long. We noticed that they added an expensive extended warranty without asking. He redid the paperwork for us, and that was removed quickly. We thought everything was in order, signed the paperwork, and left the dealership after over three and half hours there. It was over an hour after the dealership closed for the night. They told us it was too late for the dealership to put gas in the car, so we left the dealership with the gas light on and not enough gas to even make it home. This is the only car I have ever bought from a dealer that did not come with a full tank of gas. The next day, I realized we had been scammed late in the financing process. At some point, the "cash price" of the vehicle increased by almost $1000 from the agreed upon amount. Most of the paperwork has the agreed upon price, but the sales contract (revised after removing the warranty) has the higher price. When I called the dealership, they agreed that we should not have been charged the higher amount, and promised to talk to the finance director to get a resolution and call me back. That call back never happened, and now I cannot reach them via phone or email. Since then I have visited the dealership as well as emailed and called multiple times with no resolution, only "We'll have to get back to you". I even had the credit union where I financed the vehicle investigate the issue, and Mazda of Clear Lake would not respond to them either. read more

Then she found the price was higher when she arrived at the dealership. The price was 5,000.00 higher. She failed to recognize a shady deal.She then went to finance and was offered a predatory loan with a ridiculous length. Then she was offered a worthless extended warranty. When I tried to use this warranty after a breakdown in Kansas, I truly found out the absolute worthless nature of all people at this dealership. I do not know the owner, but the sales manager is foreign and rude. Pittiful service, maddening experience, go anywhere else before you go here. read more

I bought car here in July. On August 15 or 16, I got a missed call from a Maria at Mazda of Clear Lake two full weeks before the license plate email came in. I called back for Maria the next day and was transferred to multiple people because no one had any idea why anyone had called me and Maria did not say on the voice mail. They told me Maria works in a department that made me guess that she was calling about the IOU on my contract for a carpet cleaning/dye, so I wanted to schedule that appointment at the same time I brought in my car to pick up my plate. Additionally, after I signed the paperwork for the vehicle, the sales manager, of all people, brought out my one key. It would have been nice to know that they only had one key before I signed because the keys for keyless entry and auto start are not cheap. He told me he would call the former owner because he knew her and she said she had a key. He did not or could not get in touch with her, so I also requested you make a second key and have it when I pick up my car. Finally, the maintenance light came on the day after I left the lot because apparently you let me leave the lot without an oil change, which I had to pay for later that week, so I requested a free alignment in exchange. I told the final person I spoke to on the phone, someone in Maria's department, all of these things. I asked her to escalate these concerns to the proper party and respond. I waited two weeks and made a follow-up call but no one called me back. On or about August 30, I had to find out from my father that you got my license plate in because for some reason even though I'm the registered owner of the vehicle, your company continues to contact him with information about my vehicle (including the link to this survey and some additional service appointment you made for my vehicle without asking) because he emailed one time inquiring about whether you still had the car on the lot. When he forwarded me the email about the license plate, I emailed back also noting all the info in the conversation following the call from Maria. I waited one week and NO ONE RESPONDED TO MY EMAIL EVEN THOUGH YOU EMAILED ME FIRST. I emailed again, and finally Mr. Galvan made an appointment for me to take care of all of those issues. I brought my car in at the time that I made the appointment for, but no one there knew why I was in and they couldn't find the email in the Mr. Galvan's emails, so I pulled out my phone to show them. Then I was told, surprise, it would take at least a week to dye my carpet (that person is only in on Friday so I know that that happened the day after I brought my car in), get my license plate, get an alignment, and get a new key. Although you provided me with a nice enough rental during that time, it is unreasonable that it take one full week to do those things. If Volvo couldn't make me a new key until the next week, you should have told me that before I brought my car in and perhaps I would have scheduled the work the following week. When I got there one week later to pick up my car, it did not have the license plate on it. By this point, my temporary tag was expired. I certainly will not be "servicing" my car with you because it's more work for me than you. read more

Bought a "certified" Mazda3 here. Price was decent, car looked great and I didn't have any major issues with my buying experience. The car was listed as certified, but wasn't actually "Mazda certified" which comes with a short warranty. I had a few issues with the car not long after buying, but couldn't get it fixed under warranty due to it not being "Mazda certified". Wish that would have been made clear up front. Car was also sold with tires that were over six years old (older than the car). How did that happen? They also conveniently didn't mention they only had one key until I was signing paperwork. Do your homework with these guys and ask a lot of questions. Don't assume "certified" means "Mazda certified". Go elsewhere if you don't want to have to watch your back. read more

Now Demontrond Mazda. "Warranty Forever" is a JOKE. Service department is horrible. You have to take your car there for service to maintain the warranty. They don't return calls to schedule an appointment. If you show up without an appointment they tell you to schedule an appointment. I bought a brand new car from them with "warranty forever" plus bought the $1875 extended warranty. Had 5500 miles on the car and the front tire formed a large bubble on the side. Clearly a defect. Didn't puncture it or hit anything. They told me I didn't buy the tire warranty and I could buy a new tire for $182 which they'd have to order. Same cheap tire the car came with. No offer to pro rate it, replace it, nothing. Went to Discount and bought a Michelin with a warranty for $185. Will never use them again. read more

I bought a used car "as is" from DeMontrond Mazda, thinking the many positive reviews were an indication of its integrity. Just 10 days after my purchase, the check engine light came on. There were major engine problems that cost almost half of what I had just paid to buy the car! The sales manager claimed they did not know about the problems and hide them from me when I bought the car. All of the people I spoke to at DeMontrond Mazda said that cars just break sometimes. Coincidental timing? Could they have not known about such extensive problems? My mechanic doesn't think so. You can decide if doing business with them is worth the risk to you. As for me, this costly lesson has taught me to never do business with DeMontrond Mazda again. The only person who seemed to care about our situation at all was the general manager, Mr. Stewart, but in the end even he did not do what he said he would do, and he stopped returning my calls and emails. Let me start by saying I went in to this process prepared and scared that I was about to have to buy a new transmission for my barely 2 year old Mazda 6 that just went 1k miles over warranty... of course. I called service and all I can say is WOW!!!!!!!!! Dustin and his team are amazing. After all was said and done, guess what. I did get a new transmission; however, Mazda covered the ENTIRE cost. My husband and I had also recently purchased a BMW X3, and I can tell you the Mazda service there has blown away anything the BMW could bring. This dealership is very shady. If I could give it ZERO stars I would. I emailed to ask if a certain car was still available. The salesman said that it was. I drove 45 mins in the rain to look at a specific car. When I got to the dealership the car was supposedly "sold yesterday". The sales manager tried to smooth things over by selling me another car. I did not want another car. I wanted the specific car I drove over there for. Suddenly the story changed to they had sold the wheels off of the car I wanted and the car was still available it was just waiting on the wheels. Ok, I say "great when it comes in I will come back and buy it". So they gave me a proposal with the the numbers for the cost of the car plus the fees (tax, title, license) minus my trade in. At first glance it looked legit. But after taking a calculator to it (I can't do math in my head very well and I think they count on this) there was an unaccounted for $499 "hidden fee". When I brought this up to the sales manager he said the proposals aren't itemized. Well it sure looked itemized up until this mysterious fee popped in there. Label the fee if you don't have anything to hide!! I didn't even make it to the finance department where I'm sure the real screwing comes in. I wouldn't advise anybody to go here, ever!!!! read more

After searching for a few hours and test driving multiple cars I found the perfect car. There was a little negotiating with a respectable manager who gave as much as he received. We used TrueCar and were quoted a great price on a top of the line Mazda6. It was so good I didn't really believe it, and went into the dealership expecting there to be surprises but figuring even with some surprises it would still be a great deal. There were no surprises and no problems, and we got the deal done smoothly. I couldn't have been happier. We were extremely excited to shop for a Mazda! We went to visit Mazda of Clear Lake on a Tuesday to test drive a CX-5 because they were the closest dealership to us. We were greeted right away and we're shown two different versions of the Cx-5. Needless to say, we fell in love with the car after the test drive. We are ready to purchase after looking at other SUVs. We are very happy with the initial meeting, but became very disappointed when we tried to talk about pricing. We were offered no negotiation on pricing and didn't receive a call back. We did receive a text and email that offered an extremely high price. When we messaged back that it was too high, we only received a text that said "sorry I understand". I have purchased several vehicles, and have always received a call back or a willing to negotiate a price. It became apparent to me that the gentleman that helped us was only interested in our business if we wanted to pay the high price. We left that dealership and bought the CX-5 we wanted on Friday. The different dealership almost 30 miles away, offered us a deal $2000 less than what Mazda of Clear Lake. Shop around! read more

I told the sales person, Chris, that I would take the deal and offered my CC for a deposit to lock it in. He told me that the deal was solid and assured me that I would not lose it, only to find that they sold the car to the next customer when I went to pick up my trade-in. They are not members of the BBB and I see why now. Do yourselves a favor and don't let these guys waste your time...there are so many other dealerships that practice much better business ethics. read more

I understand I need to pay for parts and labor BUT when I'm spending over $1400 on car maintenance and repairs, you should throw the $10 car battery in for free. AND when you forget to do something I requested, DO NOT tell me you're gonna charge me when I bring it back in to fix your mistake. Uh no. I thought they were being upfront about ALL the repairs my car needed, but now think I was swindled. Definitely get a 2nd opinion from other mechanics before committing to them! read more

My experience wasn't absolutely horrible so I'm giving Mazda of Clear Lake two stars. I inquired about a new 2016.5 CX-5 online and was immediately contacted by David but he ended up going on vacation and transfered me to Kizito. Kizito was extremely nice, but that doesn't help when you're trying do business. He offered me a decent price on my vehicle, but when it came down to financing and incentives we just didn't meet eye to eye. I have good credit and was requesting 1.9% financing for 72 months. He said that wasn't possible and that NO BANK was offering that (lie). He said they (Russell and Smith Mazda) were just telling me "fluff" to try and get me to come in to the dealership. I also requested free tint and for my TTL to be covered. He said no to both. I wanted so badly to give Kiz my business because I liked his no-pressure sales approach and genuinely seemed like a nice guy. But like I said, nice doesn't cut it in business. There was absolutely no room for negotiation. So the Saturday I was supposed to pick up my car I had on hold at Mazda Clear Lake (which it was a pain in the butt to get my $500 back for the hold) I went to Russell and Smith just to take a test drive, but ended up buying a new CX-5. They quoted me at a lower price than Clear Lake, offered me 1.9% financing through Capital One, gave me free tint at any percentage (I got 35% on the front and limo tint on my back windows) without me having to even ask, AND matched the quote I got from Texas Direct Auto for my old vehicle. So with the trade in it took off of my taxes for the car. I got everything I wanted with minimal effort. That's how it should of been at Mazda of Clear Lake, but it was the exact opposite. In short: I would not recommend this place and suggest you take your business elsewhere. read more
