He immediately understood my vision, reviewed my drawings, and took over from there. Chester communicated clearly and appropriately throughout the process, always discussing costs beforehand and never exceeding the budget. When I hit a major snag with the custom shelves I had hauled all the way from Bakersfield--only to find out they wouldn't work (thanks to the original contractor)--Chester stepped up. He seamlessly combined two different bookshelf measurements already in the space to create something entirely new, custom, and perfect. He even went above and beyond, coming in off the clock to help us move a giant fridge through a small door. His professionalism, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail took all the stress out of the project. He made my vision a reality and gave me complete confidence along the way. Chester is not only a phenomenal contractor but also a genuinely great person. If you need someone who can handle it all with expertise and integrity, look no further than Chester and his team. Highly recommend!

Since install 4 years ago, had to have them come multiple times to fix their mistakes. Very hard to reach (months at a time) and even went to their office, which is scary enough, due to how it's very disheveled. Very bad customer service and total lack of professionalism. Broken promises and excuses. Even a little argumentative. Finally, after a lot of back and forth, it seems everything is good now after their last fix (gutter run was over flowing off the side right in front of our doors, due to lack of a good angle/slope) Product is good when installed properly. *Improve Customer Service and Service*

We reached out to them repeatedly if they would come out and look at it, and our requests were dismissed. I mean we did not expect free repair, which they probably should offer since their installation failed, but they would not even bother answering the phone let alone coming out to take a look. They don't take responsibility for the quality of their work. At this point we are unhappy with the quality and value of the service we have received.

I think maybe because I chose a tasteful artistic tile, and not a generic quartz. He even suggested that. So, what do you mean by "full service tile and granite company," "specializing in expert tile and stone installation." What you should say is that you install granite and quartz. Not tile. Very odd, and estimate a waste of my time. Unable to do bathroom floor, bathroom counter and large kitchen counter?

Working with Felipe Echevarria was extremely pleasant throughout the entire process. Felipe not only thoroughly informed me about all of the available options, he also provided a significantly lower estimate and faster installation date than a competitive company I also consulted. His team worked respectfully, professionally and at a much faster pace than I expected and they did an outstanding job at cleaning up after completing the installation. Felipe always responded immediately to my phone calls and text messages and I couldn't be happier about my experience with Echevarria Roofing.

Upon completion of the job I noticed none of the interior doors closed properly. Upon further inspection I discovered that for some reason all of the hinge screws were replaced with random mix and match screws with various head types which made the doors unable to close. I complained and asked that they be replaced with proper hinge screws and they said they would do that. Unfortunately, they instead selected very thick, long screws which were still not hinge screws (see photo comparing hinge screws with what they selected). The doors were usable but still did not operate like they did before. As these screws were very oversized I was forced to remove them all, fill the holes with wooden dowels, and then add in the proper hinge screws. This job was made even worse as the painters for some reason took the doors off the frames but painted the hinges, many of which were brand new and needed to be replaced. They also badly scratched every door knob in the house, which was frustrating since they were replaced just before this project started. Outside of the door issues, they forgot to paint a few areas and got paint on trim in a few places, but I would have probably overlooked this had the doors not created hours of labor and cost me hundreds of dollars in replacement hardware.

Let me tell you: their work is immaculate. They got our weird Los Osos house looking great. If you've dealt with a handful of contractors, you get a sense right away that some people are really into what they do and some are just there to do work. That first type--the enthusiast--is the one you want. Not only does Rob exemplify it, his entire crew does as well. We'll definitely use them again if and when the need arises.

Rob Tol Construction just completed a full remodel of our master bedroom, bathroom, and closet…read more From the start, working with Rob was a great experience. His bid was competitive, and he was able to offer suggestions and ideas that we hadn't thought of or didn't know were feasible. The initial timeline was several months out, but Rob remained in contact and was able to move us up on the calendar. The project was completed at the quoted price, plus a couple of scope additions we requested. Work took a little longer than expected, likely due to modifications needed to bring our aging home up to standard, and the perfection of our tile work; Rob does things the right way, and uses great subcontractors. The end result is beautiful. The bathroom remodel was completed so perfectly that we now see flaws in our guest bathroom which was remodeled 3 years ago by a different contractor. Our master suite has transformed from the worst part of our home to our personal sanctuary. I would not hesitate to hire Rob Tol Construction again. In fact, we're already planning to when we're ready to start our next project. As a side note, but important to us, Rob and all of his subs were great with our dogs. so we never had to lock them away during the project.
