I found out two months later that I owed them for cleanings that were never agreed to, and the owner came and changed my filter without my presence, which might have been better had he made it known in advance the actual day and time so that I could be there to pay attention to it. I paid another pool service the same two months, so I was double charged by Star even though I did not sign any contracts, or even meet them in person.

We used ABA Pool Services for over a year before the reassigned our normal pool cleaner Toni to a…read moredifferent route. While they are very friendly, we became frustrated with the different crews showing up each week-- they left the gate open multiple times causing our dog to get out (despite signs and repeated reminders), and never clean the salt water system filter even after we showed it to them. This went on for about 9 months I would guess. The final straw was when they showed up to clean the pool while there was a painting crew present two weeks ago. They told the painters they would come back later but never returned. When we followed up with the office a few days later about when they were returning we were told they had already cleaned the pool, and provided us a photo as supporting evidence. I'm not sure who is responsible for that lie, however, we have two cameras pointed at our pool AND our gate monitoring company sends us texts every time someone on our list enters the neighborhood. Not to mention the pool was still visibly dirty with lots of leaves and debris. We moved on to a different company, it simply wasn't worth the hassle.
