He was only about 12 minutes away, showed up quickly, diagnosed the problem in just a few minutes, and had the pilot lit and the hot water working again. Instead of trying to sell me parts I didn't need, he explained that the gas line simply needed to be bled and gave me honest advice to keep an eye on it in case it happens again. That's the kind of integrity that's hard to find these days. Fast, knowledgeable, honest, and fair. I really appreciate someone who fixes the problem instead of trying to create a bigger bill. He's definitely earned a permanent spot in my contacts, and I'll be calling him again for any plumbing needs. Highly recommended!

We loved Thornton Plumbing -been using them since 1987. They were always so prompt when we called,…read moreI mean when you call a plumber, you usually don't want to have to wait around. They always sent courteous and professional people to do the job. Their work and the parts that they used were always top notch. The cost was always reasonable. There was NO charge to diagnose the problem. Our problem was their job. In my experience and opinion, since they have merged with Bradbury... 1. You have to sit through a sales pitch and a long sales pitch about becoming a member of their "club" which they charge for monthly 2. You are no longer assurred of prompt service unless you are a club member. In fact, you are made to feel very much "not worth it" unless you belong to the club 3. Their charges are out of control. There is a $49.00 charge to "diagnose" the problem that by the way we already knew what the problem was - OK just stick a gun in my face and rob me of $49.00 or just call it what it is - we charge you nearly 50 dollars to show up 4. Their charges are ridiculous. They were here around 30 minutes and charged us $170.00 to replace the shut off valve and the water line leading to a commode along with the $49.00 for showing up making the total bill for that simple task a whopping $219.00! I absolutely am looking for a new plumber. This is not customer friendly. This is not honoring a very long-term relationship. This is not maintaining what was an incredible reputation - a company that really cared about their customers and put them first.

My parents and I were afraid it might be an in-depth kinda job and be up in the thousands $$$ to get it fixed. Called Paul The Plumber, and they said someone would be there within a few hours. The guy got here on time and even texted us about 30 minutes beforehand. He was here for about an hour, had it fixed and good as new, and it only cost $278! We were SO relieved! We'll always use Paul.

Why 5 stars? Because I'm not sure this experience could have been easier…read more --- --- --- The faucet for our kitchen sink had been giving coming a part from the base and not easily threading back in. We temporarily fixed it once, and then after that failed, we literally had it held up with duct tape for two weeks while we were too busy to even call someone out to deal with it. Eventually, enough was enough and we needed to not have our kitchen sink held together by duct tape anymore. My wife did a little neighborhood Facebook page research and mentioned that a lot of people had success with Paul The Plumber. I gave them a call and got an appointment scheduled. My wife purchased a new faucet, in case our current one was beyond repair, but that ended up being moot. The plumber was at our house for maybe 12 total minutes, which includes him taking my credit card for the service charge. He very quickly knew how to fix the problem and it's been great ever since. Something else that was nice was that we were told the plumber would arrive between 3-4pm, and I got a text that he was on the way, scheduled for a 3pm arrival. I went sent real-time tracking of his location so I knew exactly when he'd be arriving, which was really convenient. So our experience was 5-stars across the board and we will definitely call these guys again next time we have an issue.

I already knew the model number that I wanted so when he arrived, he already had it with him to install so he didn't have to make multiple or a multi day trip. I didn't go long without hot water. He was very thorough and reasonable in price. Honestly, he had the most competitive pricing in the north houston area as I'd gotten quotes from about 8 vendors before him. I almost gave up til I got to him and it was such a relief. He was an honest plumber, even explaining to me how to properly maintain my heater so that there was no sediment buildup. I will be using this plumbing company for all of my future plumbing needs.
