Their pricing was similar to the competitors, but what set them apart was that they offered unlimited pier depth per section. Other companies had limits--for example, up to 20 feet, then an additional charge per foot after that. I'm glad I went with Groundworks because several of my piers ended up going 90 feet deep across 16 sections. With another company, that could have cost me significantly more. I also had their gutter guard system installed (similar to a French drain, though they claim it's better), along with a vapor barrier and mold treatment. I will say, if you have a serious mold issue, I'd recommend hiring a dedicated mold remediation company instead. I did have an issue with the mold spray, but after calling a couple of times, I was able to speak with a manager who surprisingly took my concerns seriously and resolved the issue. The salesman who came to my house, Randy S., was excellent--very thorough and knowledgeable. He always answered my calls and would text be back in a reasonable timeframe. One thing I didn't like was the same-day discount tactic. They present you with a price, then offer 10% off (or whatever discount they choose) if you sign that day. It puts pressure on you to make a major decision on the spot, which is difficult when you're spending over $50,000. There is a three-day cancellation window, but some people may see the discount as more of a sales tactic than a real benefit. I also want to mention the foreman on the job, Jose G. He was great--he answered all of my questions and even let me watch and learn a little while they were working. Overall, I was very pleased with the experience. Their warranty is transferable, which is a nice bonus, and hopefully I won't have any more issues going forward.

I spent about three plus hours with Marvin/Program Manager as he filled me in on Waterproofing 101…read more It was very educational for me and taught me a lot of things I didn't know. Can I be a waterproof specialist? I doubt it but I am much more educated on the matter. Prices are very good and transparent at all levels. Proposals are easy to understand and no reading small print, because there are none. The owner Steve will match competitor pricing if lower than what Blue Umbrella offers. A crew of four came. Jose, foreman, did a great job! He was responsible and the crew were timely. Jose even helped me reinstall the dehumidifier to the new sump pump area. They took away all the garbage too! The crew had two large trucks and seemed to have everything down to a science. One truck replaces the other once all the dirt from the basement gets loaded. My job was finished in two days because I needed additional work but this was explained to me and I had agreed to the extra service and charge. Knowing in advance is a good thing! Steve, the owner, came out to meet the me on day one. It was nice of him to come out and meet his client. After having a conversation earlier in the week, I can say Steve is very feisty and passionate about his company. During the early stages, Marvin made sure to show me an additional footer ledge was needed and I wasn't charge for something made up. Everything overt! No surprises or hidden wallet breakers! At the end of the job, a customer appreciation care box came to my attention! This review will keep Blue Umbrella's five star record on track! Great to help local businesses! Everyone should have a Blue Umbrella to protect from nasty water leaks!

I'm really glad I reached out to Blue Umbrella! The inspector, Luis G, was very knowledgeable,…read moreno-nonsense, and didn't do a "hard sell" (compared to an inspector from a different company who came the day before). He brought out a small model to explain how a sump pump works, and how it relates to the home's original foundation drain, cement foundation slab, cinder blocks, etc. He was also patient with me as I asked MANY questions (especially straightening out the false information I received from the previous "hard sell" inspector from a different company). Now I want Luis to be here to provide better explanations for my plumbing, A/C, and other house repair issues! :) Thanks Blue Umbrella!

After reviewing this company's website, I thought I found the perfect company for my roof repairs…read more After dealing with this company, I can honestly say that their website is all lies. When I first called the advertised number for MW Roofing, I spoke with Mike. When the company arrived for the free in home estimate, a man named Martin came out to my home. He told me the cost of the job would be $600 for chimney repair, and $100 for skylight repair. After having several roofers come to give me estimates, I decided to use Martin for the job because his pricing was the most affordable, and they advertised a 10 year warranty on the work to be leak free. I had to call him multiple times to get him on the phone, being told he would call me back and never called. About 2 weeks later, Martin finally called me back and we scheduled the job. Big mistake. Upon arriving to my house to do the job, he dropped off 2 workers and directed them on what to do. Martin did not do any of the roofing work. After the job was started, he changed the price he quoted me from $700 to $1500. He said the chimney and skylight needed more repair than previously quoted. Right there I should have told them to leave, but I felt my hands were tied, as they already started the work, I felt I had to pay him the extra money he was asking for to get the job done. I felt scammed. If he would have provided me with this $1500 quote from the beginning, I would have used another roofing company. How can this company change the quoted price of the job after the price has been agreed to and work has begun? According to their website, they never ask for money upfront. This is a lie. Before they began working I was asked for $300 so supplies could be bought. He arrived with no supplies. Unprofessional. In addition, they had to use my ladder and my wood from my garage that I was using for a home project, so they could build a platform to stand on to do my chimney repairs. They broke my garage door getting my supplies in and out for their use as well. While the job was being done, Martin kept leaving, purchasing supplies and running personal errands, of which he brought children in his truck to my house. Apparently not paying attention to my job being worked on. After the job was completed and paid in full, I was told I had a ten year warranty. I asked for a receipt. Martin told me he did not have a receipt on him but shook my hand and "promised" to email me a receipt before the end of the day. This was another lie. The following morning I called and asked about the receipt. Martin told me Mike would be emailing a receipt. More nonsense. Hours later I still did not receive a receipt, and then I called Mike. Mike became aggressive and nasty to me on the phone. He said he did not want to do the work at my home. He told me I was calling too much, and then threatened to come to my house "personally" , in an attempt to intimidate my family and I and cause us to be in fear. He said he would give me my money back and climb on my roof and undo the work. I repeatedly told him I don't want my money back, I want a receipt showing a guarantee of their work. Very unprofessional business behavior. I wanted something in writing to show a 10 year guarantee as promised, which I have come to realize would never be honored. In addition, my wife called Mike after he threatened to "come to my house" in absolute disbelief of his treatment, and he was nasty, aggressive and disrespectful to her as well. Eventually hanging up on her. MW Roofing is not permitted to come anywhere near my home or family, and if they do they will be met with legal action! I hope that the work done will withstand the next rain storm, or I will have to hire another company to do the job right! I am left feeling scammed and threatened in my own home. Home owners beware of this company and their lies! I hope this is helpful to anyone looking for roofing work to be done. **UPDATE: The work did not withstand even the first rainfall. I contacted Martin over a week ago and still have not heard back. So much for my ten year guarantee.

Our driveway was 6 inches lower than our garage and the walkway wasn't lined up to the driveway or patio. After a few outrageously expensive estimates from several companies and a few aggressive sales pitches I came across Concrete Chiropractor. The estimation process was simple as they asked me to take pictures and included a guide on how to do it. They followed up with a phone call and explained the process to me. They then sent me a DocuSign document (contract) and told me they would be in touch to schedule in a few weeks. When the crew showed up they again explained the process and in just a few hours everything was fixed perfectly and the price was fair. In fact they don't haggle or play games just give a fair price for the work.
