Like any craft, shooting takes repetition -- and that means going through a lot of targets. Most ranges sell targets with a 2-3 inch gap between the edge of the paper and the printed target image. That's normal. But this range sells targets that clip within an inch of the scoring line on their holders. Then they turn around and charge you $1 for every hole that goes past that line. It's a setup, and it feels like a scam. No other range I've been to does this. And unlike most ranges that charge you upfront, Johns Creek Indoor Range waits until the end so they can nickel‑and‑dime you for every "over‑the‑line" hole. It's a tactic that takes advantage of new shooters and anyone who doesn't know their system. A range should help people learn -- not create a trap to squeeze extra money out of customers. This practice is misleading, unfair, and something no shooter should have to deal with.

Compared to other professional shooting ranges, the prices are nearly three times higher. In addition, the ventilation system and overall customer service are unacceptable. I was strongly encouraged to purchase a one-year membership, but after experiencing the facility firsthand, I believe the membership program is highly misleading and completely inappropriate for the level of service being provided. The staff members demonstrate a shocking lack of professionalism and basic courtesy. Their attitudes are arrogant, disrespectful, and completely inconsistent with what customers should expect from a firearms-related business. Most concerning of all is the apparent lack of safety awareness. The careless attitudes, tone, and behavior displayed by the staff are deeply troubling in an environment where firearm safety should be the absolute highest priority. Overall, the condition, atmosphere, and operational standards of this shooting range are far below acceptable standards. I am extremely disappointed with the experience and would not recommend this facility to anyone who values professionalism, safety, and respect.

I called the location and was told "Our tech is at lunch but he will be back in 20 minutes if you want to swing by". Awesome! I headed that way and when I got there, it just seemed like a bunch of kids working. No hello, no nothing. I get to them who never asked if I needed help and they are just staring at me. I explained what I needed (taking off a spring clip) and was told "We don't have that tool. Go to Gables". Gables is actually an amazing place and the guys are awesome so I don't know why I didn't go there in the first place. So I left. A couple weeks later, I went back to Stoddards for some range time since Gables doesn't have a range. Once again, no hello, no how can we help you, nothing. I ask the guy about renting a range just so I could site in a red dot and he goes to someone else then comes back and says "We aren't taking anymore shooters". It was only 1:30pm. Now it was Christmas Eve and they were closing at 4 I think but there were empty lanes and it was only 1:30pm. The staff just looks like a bunch of kids who don't care about what you want, they just don't wNt to do anything that requires energy. If you need an amazing gun store or gun smith, go to Gables Sporting Goods in Douglasville. If you are looking for a range, go to Governors in Hiram or The Pit in Villa Rica (contact through Instagram). It's a shame cuz the Atlanta location is so nice and friendly. Met "Chief" over at the Chicopee Golf course when he was working there part time as a ranger. He…read morementioned this organization called "GAFASTA" and it was the most elite training in the country (possibly one of the most in the world) After doing some intense research into this organization, I decided to go ahead and sign up for the course. After talking with other colleagues at work, I decided to put together a small group of us to get a class going. Fast forward to Friday, December 15th, 2017 at 5:30pm. Myself and 5 other teammates came to meet "Chief" & "Apollos" to take their most basic class called the GAFASTA Basic Pistol Training" Class This class is a 2 part course where we do the classroom training first at the office. Followed by going out to a shooting course. So, let us start with the classroom training. Here we learned a few main rules including NO LOADED WEAPONS IN THE CLASSROOM. From there, we went over some basic safety issues, such as pointing the gun forward, as well as how to hold the gun properly. We learned the '5 step process to shooting', which is from the holster to 'stabbing out'. Stabbing out is the process when you are aiming the gun down at the target. We also learned that sometimes people are not eye dominant to where they thought they were (righty people were left eye dominant, and vice versa). Lastly, we learned how to take a part a gun rather quickly, as well as assemble it with ease! On Sunday, we went out to Chief's private ranch up in Monroe, GA. This is a huge lot with lots of trees and scenery. The steaming lake running through the front to the birds chirping in the background. Walk down another hundred feet or so, and you are at the shooting range where they have water barrels and targets approximately 5m away. Here, we were taught the proper way of sighting, gun control and most of all, SAFETY. They cannot emphasize that enough...safety is key! Keep all guns pointing down the range. Keep all bullets out of the clips, keep the gun on the barrel until called. Overall, this experience was better than any other class that you'll ever experience. Though it is listed as a 'beginner' class on paper, this is far from a beginner class irl! Come check him out, as this was an amazing experience, and we (as a group) cannot wait until next class when we take the intermediate class!

Parking is free (go around back to the brewery) they have food trucks some times and a nice outside Astro turf area with a fire pit, conversation areas and little books for more intimate conversations.
