2 piece chicken and fries $5.99
Lisa N.

Delta Soul is located in the food court at Meadows Mall. Since this is a mall food court my expectations aren't the highest, however when we saw "soul food" as an option we decided to give it a try. 2 pieces of chicken and fries for $5.99, can't beat that price. She asked me if I wanted to add seasoning on the chicken and so I decided on lemon pepper. (Side note: I found out from my receipt that is an additional $0.50 for seasoning, I'm ok with it, but it would've been nice to know that they charge because I assumed it was free). The chicken was super crispy and juicy, but the seasoning for me was way too salty. It was served with crinkle fries, which no complaints here. My fiancé ordered the chicken tender with waffle and yams for $6.99, again great price. If you look at the photo it's not as appetizing, but the combination of chicken, waffle, and yams went perfect together. Perfect combo of sweet and savory. I really enjoyed their candied yams. Overall I gave 3 stars for the service, price, and decent food. The girl in the front, super nice and friendly. She mentioned we can sample any of the sides. The prices were reasonable, when you get real soul food the prices can get ridiculous, so it's nice to see it's still affordable. I would recommend if you want something different at the food court aside from McDonald's or Panda Express , try out Delta Soul.

After my disappointment with Charley's Philly Steaks, I decided to try out Delta Soul. I ordered from a friendly lady, the service was great. I tried the chicken wing plate. I was happy with my pick. The food was hot and nice portions.

Very disappointed.! The food does not look anything like the menus pictures. The flavor is not great either. I order a casserole that look very good on the menu picture but instead I only got a soap hot rice With literally 3 very small pieces of sausage floating around. In the picture you can see shrimp and vegetables and a lot of more ingredients. It is not worth it to spend money in this place ... We ordered 3 small plates from the menu and the bill was 60 dollars. ! Too expensive for fast food that tastes like somebody just pour a bottle of hot sauce in the pot as all the seasoning for all the items in the menu.

Smothered Pulled Pork Fries

Delta Soul is located on the second floor food court in Meadows Mall. So I've been here twice and had the smothered pulled pork fries and then the fried chicken with fries. Beginning with the service, it's clean and everyone here is surprisingly friendly. Most food court workers usually don't have happy expressions and understandably so . I don't think I waited more than 10 minutes each time. In regards to the chicken and fries, it wasn't bad but I would say the crinkle cut fries (this also goes for the smothered fries) were a little over seasoned making them a little too salty for my taste. The chicken was a little dry but that was helped with hot sauce. So I guess I had something else in mind for "smothered" fries but it's basically melted shredded cheese over the fries. The pork was fairly savory though. However, I did enjoy the portion sizes and it's a nice change from the standard food court places like Panda Express, Sbarro, random "Japanese" stands, etc. Prices weren't bad either. So overall I give it a middle of the way review.

Yes. Food was delicious! Surprisingly good, this is the catfish lunch with greens and there was a roll!

We were pleasantly surprised! Soul food spot at Meadows mall yesssss! Love it the food was delicious! The greens were slightly salty but that didn't stop me from eating it! We will be back! Great service and great food!!!! MS Mary's Bass fried fish was bomb and the baby girls 2 piece was also delicious!! Thank goodness there is a better food selection at the mall!!!

Went to the mall to go to Sansei, saw Dickey's but they weren't open yet, looked over and there it was. Delta Soul. Looked at the menu. The cashier was very nice, greeted me with a smile and asked if I wanted to sample anything...well yes EVERYTHING because it smelled so damn good. Tried the jambalaya...Delicious. I only wished they sold it ala carte. I ended up getting Baby Girl's 2 piece jumbo wings with fried okra. What can I say...I love it. I will try something else next time, but I will be back.

We ordered fish and yams, red beans and rice, insane fries, and chicken tenders with fries. The koolaid was fruit punch.

Loved this place! We were greeted by Tasha at the register who was very polite, friendly, and courteous. She informed us that any sides were able to be sampled as long as they didn't require being fried. She walked us through the menu and answered any questions we had. We decided on trying several menu items like the fried fish, chicken tenders, their "insane" fries with several types of meats and cheese on them, and the red beans and rice. Everything was very delicious and fresh. The staff checked in several times to make sure we enjoyed our meal. Definitely recommend trying this spot out. Especially if doing some shopping in the Meadows Mall.

Bomb!!!

The food is really good and fresh! I ordered catfish and collard greens and it was delicious! The greens have a nice kick to them. The staff is also very friendly. I will definitely be back to try the wings and mac and cheese. The mac and cheese was in the oven so I was unable to sample it.

Love! It's sad when businesses don't make it, I was lead here trying to go back to a place we went…read morebefore that had delicious catfish. Thankfully this place fit the bill! The fact that they rep the Niners was also a nice bonus! We came in, grabbed a menu and sat. Kenny promptly came over and wanted to take our order. There's a lot of choices we needed a minute. We ended up doing the combo. I did the fried catfish, mac, and the BEP had good reviews so I did that. Woman did the grilled catfish, greens and yams. The menu said fried food takes 20+ minutes, when I asked Kenny he said it'd be 6-7. I'm assuming that estimate is for busier times. They had a steady stream while we were there around 1. I enjoy the places with history that have the pics on the wall w the Celebs that have come through. I didn't know them all but Kenny and his family are obviously well loved, and after tasting the food I get it! The fish was crispy and flavorful! The mac was cheesy and delicious, and the peas had a nice smooth flavor. I think my favourite part of all was that they have and give togo cups of Crystal! My favourite and all I can tolerate heat wise. The pancake cornbread was also a fun treat I enjoyed for dessert. Woman's food was good but I liked mine better. The fish was cooked w bell peppers, which I don't really eat anymore. It had onions too, reminded me of a fajita. I don't eat yams butt tried her greens, they were ok. She said that to her they tasted canned. Idk but they weren't my favourite. My plate ftw. I'd absolutely go back, I'm sure it's a vibe when there's a game on. It stinks how I found them but I'm SO glad I did!

A True Taste of Home: Soul Food Perfection!…read more I recently had the pleasure of dining at Soul Food Cafe, and the experience was truly exceptional. This isn't just a restaurant; it's a culinary hug, delivering authentic, comforting flavors that transport you straight to your grandmother's kitchen. I ordered the classic combination: Catfish, Greens, and Macaroni & Cheese, and every item was a standout. The Catfish was absolutely perfect--flaky and tender on the inside with a golden, impossibly crispy crust on the outside. It was seasoned expertly, requiring no extra sauce to enjoy the deep, savory flavor. The sides were equally impressive. The Greens were tender, perfectly cooked down with just the right amount of smokiness and a savory broth that I couldn't help but savor until the last drop. And the Macaroni & Cheese? It's what you hope for every time you order it: rich, creamy, and undeniably cheesy. It was baked beautifully, providing that essential layer of crisp, baked cheese on top while remaining gooey underneath. Soul Food Cafe doesn't just serve food; they serve tradition and care. If you are looking for genuine, high-quality, and deeply satisfying soul food, look no further. Highly, highly recommended--I can't wait to go back!

Don't be put off by the looks of the location. The site is in a kind of rundown strip mall-ish center with plenty of parking. Inside you order at the counter and food is brought to your table. Even with a line, service is friendly and wait times are pretty minimal. Their menu has a little of everything from beef ribs, brisket and sausage links to okra, corn nuggets and slaw. Seating is first come first serve and they have e quite a large dining area with plenty of tables with bench seats. Next to the soda machine are an abundance of different sauces that will appeal to even the pickiest of bbq eaters. For lunch we chose the 3 meat trio. We chose sliced brisket (it comes chopped if you don't specify) 1/4 dark meat chicken and hot links. For the included side, we chose the dirty rice. We added an extra 1/4 dark meat chicken and a side of cheesy mac and cheese. Wife and I split the brisket and hot links and we will usually have leftovers as they are generous with their portions. All the barbecue has rich and Smokey flavor. The brisket was tender and had a hive visible smoke ring around the edge. The links have nice heat that is not overpowering. The dark meat chicken is also tender and juicy. When you peel the skin back the meat underneath is glistening. Both the rice and macaroni complimented our protein selections. If I have one knock, the sides were merely warm and not hot. I think this as due to the volume of people there for lunch today. For sauce I chose their original and sweet mama varieties. They are very tasty and full of southern bbq influence. All-in-all, this is a great BBQ spot and centrally located for visitors to the Strip.
