It's a low-impact fitness and helps you stay active during pregnancy. Emily leads the class and encourages everyone to move how they feel comfortable! She switches up the routine every class so it's never the same! I've enjoyed taking time away to focus on myself, my growing body, and my baby during these classes. Not to mention, the community of the class and being with other pregnant women in the area has cultivated a supportive environment where we can share our struggles, achievements, and our motivations throughout the pregnancy journey! read more

Great yoga studio for both beginners and advanced students! Delta Groove offers a variety of yoga and meditation classes as well as workshops. I spent a summer in Memphis and I just happened to pass by this yoga studio and give it a try. It turned out to be a great decision with the various classes I got to experience from vinyasa to Kundalini. They even offered a Sunday afternoon Ayurveda workshop which was a great foundation place to get a better understanding of Ayurvedic medicine. The instructors were generous and offered materials for further education. read more

This studio is wonderful. All of the teachers are excellent. You have a variety of styles you can take throughout the week and it's affordable. Such an angel place! I first came to Delta Groove in 2015 for a 6 week Astrology workshop with Rachel Briet, and found such a warm, high vibed little community here. I I love the variety of workshops DGY offers, as well as their many studio and community classes. They have a variety of learning and community opportunities to facilitate spiritual and emotional growth, which is something very unique in Memphis. Attended slow flow this morning while visiting from Kentucky. What a great class! It opened with gentle meditative movements and guided breath practice, gently moving toward more challenging asana as the class progressed and bodies opened up. LauraLee was instructing and she brought a grounded energy and balanced practice to the class. She was attentive, clear, and kind. I never felt pushed to do something I couldn't, but felt the right amount of encouragement to challenge myself. I will definitely come back when I am in Memphis again. read more

I adore this space! In my opinion, they really harness what it means to actually be a "yogi". They have crystals along a few of their walls, and the ambiance is really unlike any other studio I have been to. I could really see myself transforming here mind and body :)! If you want to be immersed in the more spiritual side of yoga, I think this is definitely the place to be! They even read a poem at the end of each practice....LOVE that! I also love they have healthy food/drink items, and even sage! The only downside is parking, but they don't really have control over how poppin' midtown has become. I'm so glad I got to try this place out thanks to Yelp and the offer from Delta Groove for One Free Class! Everyone here is so friendly. Our instructor, Diana, made a point to come by before class and introduce herself. She made me feel comfortable and gave pointers to those who were trying yoga for the first time. The studio was open and inviting with tall ceilings and windows. In the back of the room they provide an assortment of tools for class and extra mats. And for those that may have forgotten a water bottle, they have two water fountains in class. I really enjoyed this class! I certainly don't have a ton of yoga poses in my repertoire, but was surprised to learn some new (challenging) ones. And some deep stretches I had never used before. Diana ended the class with some relaxation exercises while going around and massaging this amazing gel onto our necks and guiding us through meditation tips. She closed the session by reading us a poem. I'd like to come back sometime and try the smoothies and other menu items they have up front. They sound delicious and refreshing if I'm ever in midtown and want a healthy snack on the go. read more

Delta Groove Yoga is the best. I love all the positive energy I feel when I walk through the door. I have been taking Olivia's Kundalini Yoga class. I had never taken or heard of Kundalini before, but I am learning so much. Olivia is a great teacher!! She's so passionate! I have also had a lot of interaction with Diana. I haven't had a chance to take one of her classes yet, but she has answered a ton of my questions. She's like Wikipedia!!! DGY has so many different classes and workshops. This was an awesome place!!!!! I got a salt lamp. I plan on using it, because the person who told me about it was very nice. She was also warm and welcoming. I appreciate it so much, that I will try out their yoga classes. I told the lady I was going to yelp them, she was like thank you so much. I really didn't know what to say , because usually when people hear they are going to be yelped they will be like make sure you get a picture or something. I took the intro to Kundalini class on 1/13/15 and fell in love with the calmness of the studio. Once class starts it is a mix of a calming atmosphere and a fun yoga class. The instructor encourages people to focus on their practice and having fun. I left the class feeling energized and the next day was extremely sore and I've been doing kickboxing for over a year! read more

This review is based on the Cosmic Coconut - Delta Groove Yoga partnership & their recent advertising in local publications as the newest place to buy fresh juices, smoothies, and cleanse subscription packages. I was so ecstatic that I wouldn't have to trek out to East Memphis for fresh organic smoothies. I couldn't wait to visit once I saw the advert. When I arrived at Delta Groove today, I was disappointed to see they only had ONE juice in the fridge, and it wasn't the combo I was wanting anyhow. I purchased it anyway. But, holy smokes! The 5 oz. or so drink rang up $9+ with tax! I know organic is expensive, but this price was astronomical given the amount of juice you get. You can get the same green juice at a local competitor's (unnamed for politeness) for $3.50. For what it's worth, the yoga studio space looks gorgeous and I'm sure the classes are fine -- but this review is not based on that aspect. Thanks to Yelp I got to try out Delta Groove Yoga. I'm still new to yoga, but the instructor was really helpful. The whole experience was very relaxing. I enjoyed the neck massage with china gel and poem reading when class was ending. They offer different types of yoga classes, as well as other services like reiki and acupuncture. A big plus for me is the grab n go juices from Cosmic Coconut they sell. read more

What a wonderful place! Make sure to come early before your class to check out their little shop and get a yummy drink! I love all the gemstones ! The jewelry is beautiful. Next time I need to make sure to get some yoga clothes from them:) I highly recommend trying out a workshop ! (Or several!) The teachers are highly skilled, and great to talk to. Everyone I've spoken to there has been so kind! I always leave feeling very positive. It's very clean. There are mats and blankets you can use there.
