Van was probably pretty nice when it was made in 1996. The full leather interior was badly worn, and the carpeted floor was quite dirty. The front windshield had a large ding from which 3 cracks radiated across the entirety of the glass. This was complimented by another footling crack just a nice eye level. My 2nd row seat was sort of loose/broken. Driver talked repeated on his hand held mobile phone ( but at least the calls seemed business related). Also typed a phone number in by hand while we were traveling about 70mph on a non-limited-access highway. Checked his calendar a little later when we were doing 77 up I-59. Passed a semi on the right hand side. If we had used Waze, we would have saved 15 minutes to avoid the construction Otherwise trip was uneventful, and the driver was very polite.

I remember when this was the old Holiday Inn and was one of the best hotels in town. Things have changed a lot since then. Hotel is run down. Don't believe the on line reviews about a nice sparkling pool. It didn't look like it had been used or maintained in a long time. The rooms were dirty in my opinion and showed wear and tear. Just basic needs met for the stay. Didn't feel like a safe place to stay to me. I even took their car home each night just to make sure it wasn't broken in to. It's a shame because I do remember going here when I was younger. I spent time when I was younger with family and when they had a nice pool. I think all in all if they would maintain the grounds and upgrade the rooms they would do quite well. They are in a prime location for the City.

I am not a fan of third party sites because I believe most of them are scams. Well my entire trip was canceled due to a hurricane. I was unable to travel because my flight was canceled and yes got a refund for that. So therefore my entire trip was canceled. I called my rental car and received a refund for that too. However reaching out to the hotel they claim they could NOT give me a refund because it was against their cancellation policy. I'm sorry, since when not being able to fly due to a hurricane was against company policy to cancel? That is absurd! So now I am out $230 because these people are more worried about keeping their money than someone not being able to make their trip. Such a scam! Just be aware next time you book anything it isn't from a 3rd party app/site.

Was informed at that point that our daughter may have to share the ride with someONE else(as it was a busy finals week), and if that happened the rate would be less(awesome). Daughter was contacted the day before her pick-up and told if she wasn't prompt she'd be left (no problem). Was picked up 4 hours before her flight was to leave(3:35 before boarding began..perfect!). One hour and twenty-seven minutes later she was still in Tuscaloosa picking up seven other passengers. We understood the possibility existed it could be a ride-share with someONE else. This led us to believe it could be two parties total, one other and our daughter. The dictionary defines 'someone' as singular, not plural. Lesson learned, we'll make sure to have all potential scenarios understood in the future. Made it to flight on-time, but disappointing experience. For what its worth, the driver was engaging and did an excellent job.

After driving 10+ hours, I just want to sleep. Numerous stains, rust, missing grout, and hair in the bathroom. I heard the night clerk mention they had rooms out of order because they didn't have enough housekeepers. So much for switching rooms. Also the town was booked up so I couldn't switch to another property. And these issues weren't limited to just the room....the common areas had the same rust/stains/dirt everywhere. The front desk agent had great training in deflection though, because I guess it was my fault that the room had all these issues. I would definitely NOT recommend this property. I worked both front line hospitality and corporate, and this is one of the worst properties I've ever seen. I expected good things from Wyndham, and am sorely disappointed.
