We were told due to a busy weekend with college games and teams staying, the rooms were late being cleaned. We would have about a 30 minute wait. Unfortunately, our wait was right at 1.5 hours. This could have been better if the lobby A/C wasn't having a hard time keeping up with the extreme Mississippi heat. However, the staff was extremely nice and apologetic. They offered us snacks and drinks. But we didn't want anything. They did give me 1500 Bonvoy points. That was nice. Teiana worked the night shift and continued to apologize and offer snacks. Once in our room, we were satisfied as the A/C worked extremely well, the beds were comfy, and the room was clean. Our room was right next to the highway, so there was a good bit of noise. The tv allowed me to stream from YouTube. The shower head could use a good cleaning. The telephone in the room was nasty. The breakfast had decent selections and tasted good. We would stay here again. The best part of the whole experience in Columbus was the Italian restaurant Amata downtown. Delicious and lovely.

Great Value for the Area!!…read more I have stayed at this Hyatt location many times when I'm in business in the area. This stay was a good one as I was greeted warmly by the staff upon check-in and they had my name on the board welcoming me to the hotel. I also received a voucher for a free drink in which I had an ice-cold beer. My room was clean, as well as the bathroom, the wifi had a strong signal, but the room could use a little modernization as it lacks ports for USB devices. There are plenty of outlets that you can charge your phone and other devices. The breakfast was very high quality as expected at a Hyatt property. There are many items available so that you can enjoy healthy choices or go crazy with sugar and carbs. The entrance and foyer are very welcoming and there is a small menu for ordering food from the hotel restaurant. The gym is clean with modern equipment. Aside from my bathroom being in need of a renovation, I will say it was very clean. This is a very good hotel for the price and location.

It's pretty much like Quality Inns all over the U.S. Same carpet, same great beds (down comforters rock!), same sink, same toiletries. The price seems a little steep, especially with the $25 a night pet fee added in, but there are some really bad areas of town and this one is clean and safe, so it's worth it. The Internet is fast and reliable throughout the hotel. It's on the main drag of town, so there are plenty of places to eat and shop. There is a Waffle House and Chinese place within walking distance. There's also a great steak place -- Ole Hickory -- and a great Mexican place -- Mi Hacienda -- across the street. Front desk staff is nice, and the housekeeping staff doesn't wake you up at the crack of dawn runbling their carts down the sidewalk, banging on your neighbors' doors and yelling, "HOUSEKEEPING!" loud enough to wake the dead over in Friendship Cemetery. They allow pets, and there is a nice place to walk dogs in the back of the property. I don't recommend staying on the side with the Chinese restaurant. Nor sure why the traffic was noisy over here, but every morning there were large trucks and various banging noises. Stay on the mall side. Much quieter. As an added plus, they have a bathroom in the lobby. Laugh if you like, but if you've traveled a long distance without a restroom stop, then sometimes that extra few minutes of waiting to check in can be excruciating.
