As always, Delta served me well on this trip - on time departures, baggage handled well, arrived a bit early to make a tight connection. Delta is always my preferred airline - none of them are amazing, but Delta seems to have the least delays and best process and customer loyalty program for me. Hadn't flown Delta in many years; hopefully never will have to again. Flight out was cancelled AFTER we arrived at the airport! no reason given (it wasn't weather, for sure). Automatically rebooked on another flight that didn't leave for 5 hours, and would leave us approximately. 30 minutes to catch a connecting flight; obviously unworkable. Spent significant time at the counter trying to get booked on something else. When we asked them to check other airlines, we were told we would have to call customer service! Finally, someone else got involved, rebooked us on something reasonable. unfortunately, troubles didn't end there. We have made 3 attempts so far to get all of our mileage credited. We sent in all the info required (one of their partner airlines was involved) on their online claim form. first 2 claims were just ignored. continuing to follow up, we sent in a complaint. Now we're told we have to send in copies of our boarding pass, e ticket or other document. no apology. read more

I wrote a letter of complaint to Delta Airlines. My son and his friend were traveling from Philadelphia to Sarasota, Florida. As they arrived at the Philly airport on time they were met with a delay in flight. Due to the Delta Airlines Delay they arrived at their connector with very little time to catch the flight. The boys got to the gate and were met with a very rude attendant who was closing the door as the flight was still there. The 18 year old boys were told their seats were already sold and they were miners and no one could help them. This is ludicrous ! They are 18, not miners and if you were so concerned about them being miners, they should have offered to help! The boys received ZERO assistance in trying to get on to a new flight. They were met with hostility and ZERO compassion. The young men had to rent a "ROOM" at the airport so they would be able to make their flight the next morning that was to TAMPA, not even the original ticket with Sarasota. The cost of the room was $230.00 and there was a fee of $30 to take a shower. The young men had no choice at the time due to the awful customer service or help from the Delta workers in Atlanta. I am disgusted with this. I am shocked that your team would call a young man a miner and then not even help them. There should be compensation for the "Room" at the airport and for the travel they needed to take from Tampa to Sarasota, not to mention that they were at the gate on time and not let on the plane. At a time when we can choose airlines that work with customers I would think again before recommending Delta or using it in the future. You have a chance to make this right. I haven't flown in a long time. I flew out of Buffalo to JFK. I didn't have a QR code when I checked in ahead of time so I was asked to leave the line. The line that I got back into, the lady didn't care and just asked to look at my license. I'm not used to having someone glance in my badge and to take my shoes off but it wasn't a big deal. The Delta staff were very professional and kind. The stewardesses were nice and the plane was clean. They have a rule currently that you must wear a mask while on the plane. We ended up getting to JFK a little earlier than expected. It was a great experience. I think I'd prefer to fly with Delta in the future. read more

First let me say I am impressed with the cleanliness of this plane and the roomy seats. I am in the Sky preferred section, behind first class. This flight was reasonably priced especially since it was purchased just 2 weeks ago. Now for their customer service-Delta Airlines provided great customer service. I had to change the location of where I was departing and they graciously waived my change fees and only charged me the difference of what the flight would have originally cost when it was purchased. Granted this was due to a family emergency but they didn't have to do this and I believe when people go above and beyond they should get recognition! Good job Delta Airlines! read more

My experience with Delta I would like to express my deepest thanks to the family, team members, pilots who made my trip enjoyable. I have not flown on Delta in the past, It will be my first choice from this day forward. From the front counter where I was treated with respect, professionalism and a personal touch. To the screening process. While at the gate counter, I asked for a little time to board the plane, a few knee replacements have me a little slow. I was offered early boarding. This is much appreciated. With all the dynamics over covid 19, The plane was clean, restrooms, every thought possible was given to everyone's safety. Thank you for the snacks to hold us over. Each step of my trip, changing planes three times, each step was consistent, professionalism from each team member. A personal thought, first part of October, CEO, Ed Bastian. Was interviewed on CNN. His remarks supported my plan to put Delta first to fly with. Mr. Bastian, commented on the truth of wearing a mask, as he implemented on April 30th,2020. I've seen a lot of bad reviews which really confused me. I experienced exceptional service. Me and my family missed our flight the day before and so we got the last seats, the very very last ones. They were still comfortable and could recline. I enjoyed the screens on the back of the seats, even for a four hour flight they are really useful. From free movies to free games they had a wide variety. My brother (who is very young) commented to my mother about how the flight attendances were really nice, and so my mother mentioned this to them to let them know they were doing a good job. About an hour later, they brought us both a full free meal with cheeses, grapes, and chocolate, that usually costs money. They did this out of the kindness of their hearts, we all thought it was amazing. Not only that but they have a wide variety of free food, cookies, cheezits, almonds, peanuts and more. And all drinks are free as well, which is really cool. Overall, the ride was really good, and the service was amazing. If your looking for a good flight, I would definetly recommend Delta. read more

Honestly one of the best airport I've been too. They offer cheap parking, shuttle bus rides and very friendly staff. The process was quick and thorough and got into the flight with no issue. This airport offers a few restaurants to keep you hydrated and full while waiting for your flight. They are also very organize and intercoms are clear with clear announcements. The best part of this airport is the free wifi and he convenience of checking emails and sending out text. Bring a Canadian phone line we need this feature. It was the worst airlines I have ever flown with. Whoever thought that putting a touchscreen in the back of a seat is a dumbass. All I felt was the person tapping the screen from San Juan to JFK. The terminal in JFK was like walking 2 States to get to the next gate. The flight from JFK to Buffalo the plane was falling apart the overhead baggage compartment fell off when the sturdiest tried to close it. The wall panels were falling off. The seat would not recline and there was no lumbar support or even the cushion had no cushion left. It was like setting on a cement floor. They are not military friendly no discounts for bags or tickets. I will not fly with them again if I can help it. read more

As far as airlines go Delta is pretty solid. There's nothing special about them other than they don't charge for the peanuts aboard. That said here are a few tips for flying with Delta. 1. Connections in Atlanta are tight. The legal connection time for domestic flights in Atlanta is 30 minutes. That means if they can get you to the gate 30 minutes before your next flight they don't have to rebook you on another flight. So plan accordingly. 2. There are 3 groups that board before zone 1--families and those that need extra time, in-uniform military and all the SKY priority folks. So if you're zone 2 or 3 there's a good chance you won't have much space for a roll-aboard. Don't pay to check that bag if you're in these zones and have a carry-on. They'll likely take your bag and check it to your final destination for free. 3. Be careful when booking fares as some of the lowest fares don't let you pick seats in advance. That means you'll likely get stuck in a middle seat. read more

This is a review of the airport, not necessarily Delta Airlines. The gate didn't seem to have much seating - I ended up on a bench near the exit for the flights that didn't have an actual jetway, or whatever it's called. If I could give them 0 stars, I would. Awful, NOT A GOOD AIRLINE FOR FAMILIES, under-age minors, or people with disabilities. Planes are FILTHY, I got sick from the tap water they served and the peanuts were expired. When our flight was canceled and we had to be rebooked, they put 2 of our party's children ALONE and their parents on a flight 24 hours later! It was so unbelievable, I didn't think it could get worse. On our first flight, we had to attempt 3 landings because the pilot was "new". Yikes. The woman in front of me was in an emergency row. The flight attendant asked her if she consented to the responsibility that goes with that row and the woman stated that she was confused and asked "what am I consenting to?" The flight attendant rudely said, "we're running late, just say yes". Thanks- I'm glad our safety is in the hands of someone who doesn't know what their emergency row responsibilities are. THEN, our returning flight was canceled due to weather, while we watched other airlines take off to the same city. We were forced to wait overnight. We were rebooked on a 6am. Then, on a sunny 70 degree day (in both arriving and departing cites) that flight was canceled for a reason they would not disclose. No email notifications, phone calls, nothing. They separated our family by putting the MINORS ALONE on the next flight and the parents on a flight 24 hours later! Outrageous. When we politely asked for assistance, we were greeted by rude delta staff people for hours. Do yourself a favor and avoid booking on delta at all costs. Pay a little extra for a different airline that actually shows professionalism, courtesy, and respect for families. read more

I want to Express my disappointment with the delta airline. I arrived to the airport early to get my boarding pass and avoid a long wait. Online, it states you can add a bag at the kiosk. The kiosk machine only had carry on as an option not check bag. I had to wait almost 2 hours to request a check bag. There was a line and no one at the help desk. It was one problem after another with this airline for mine and my boyfriends trip to Orlando, FL. Our flights kept getting "cancelled" email after email from you telling us that our flight numbers changed. Then we fly out from Buffalo, NY and our bags magically miss our flight to Laguardia when the flight from Buffalo left late anyway! We almost missed our connecting flight in Laguardia because of the lateness of the plane from Buffalo. We were also on the tiniest plane known to mankind and it was "completely full" so we were mushed with all these ridiculously sized carry-on's people had. Finally we got to Orlando, where we waited 20 minutes for our luggage that didn't come. Why were we charged $25 per bag if it wasn't able to be picked up at the time of landing!? The only positive was that we were able to have them delivered to our hotel that night. Maybe a refund for our bags would have been nice. Then, while coming home I had a fragile item tucked away in my boyfriends bag BETWEEN CLOTHES and it still managed to get broken because the woman at the bag check threw the bags on to the belt without a care in the world. When we arrived in Atlanta I asked a Delta employee directions to the next gate, she rudely responded with "follow the signs". Lastly we get back and it takes another 20 minutes to get our luggage to go home. So incredibly disappointed. I will never recommend this airline to any friends or family. I wouldn't recommend them to my worst enemy. I work in the hospitality industry, and this was the lowest and worst service I have ever received! I'm giving one star simply because you can't give zero and they delivered our luggage to our hotel. That is it. read more

I can not ever give this airline any stars! I had a flight from Buffalo to Charlotte then a lay over for and hour and 20 minutes then off to LA. They had us waiting to take off for over an hour!! Also they just keep us waiting only telling us there was a problem and the mechanic was 5 mins away to find out he was oops late as they said it. Late by 40minutes. This is my first and only flight with American Airlines! I have flown to the UK, Italy, and France, never have I had such a horrific experience!! Well, this review is really not about Delta Airlines as a whole but more about their terminal presence at the Buffalo airport. Being born and raised in Western New York I always found it humorous they call this an international airport for after you branch out and begin travel the world you realize this airport is the size of most regional airports. However, Buffalo airport has its own charm but you don't find at other locations. Flying in and out of your often I find that the majority of the time their restrooms and general cleaning exceed that of most every other regional and international airport. I'm a big fan of Delta flying with them as often as possible and uncertain if they paid for any aspects of the decor from within their terminal. I will say though this part of the terminal is very relaxing and even includes things for kids to do thanks to Fisher-Price. One thing I love is at the very end of the terminal you can sit in an old-time rocking chair and enjoy the view of arriving and departing aircraft as you look out 180° worth of windows around you. It's so cool there are rocking chairs throughout the terminal. The Delta agents working in this terminal are little more relaxed and approachable however they are not always the friendliest, productive, efficient, or welcoming which is kind of sad considering the small size airport this is and how nice the terminal is. For this review my four stars go to the terminal itself and even though I'm a huge Delta fan I feel the service they provide at the Buffalo airport is only worthy of three stars and hope at some point they work to address their customer service challenges. I had flown with Delta many many times before and I never had an issue with my "above compartment", bag. Today I was flying to NYC and a very rude stewardist reprimanded me, caused a scene, and angrily yelled at me to refrain from bringing that bag onto the plane. I was embarrassed, and ultimately frightened because this was my very first time flying alone and I'm a teenager. Every other worker allowed me to at least try fitting my bag into he compartment, but the one stewardist with the short blonde hair was not pleasant, and compromised my flying experience. Thank goodness for Glenn (the other stewardist), because she personally calmed me and treated me respectfully. read more

So I normal don't fly delta. I have to say I've unimpressed. I paid to upgrade my seat at the counter and selected my seat only to board and find my seat was given to someone else! I paid for a window economy ply set was placed in the isle. Why want the person next to me bumped to the isle? Or Delta just not give your seat away. Flew with delta probably around 10 times and I have to say, I was not pleased. A lot of problems with flight cancelations, refunds, getting on the next available flight and having my baggage fly away without me. Just not happy with these guys.
