Mackenzie was very knowledgeable about wine, we loved how we didn't have to worry about driving and having more of a private tour, it makes it personal and an experience that I would never forget. We were so late (I can't even begin to explain...) but Mackenzie was patient and happy to see us when we finally arrived. He was very approachable and laid back. He read the group so well and knew when it was time to go or time to just relax. Lots of great little conversations about the neighbourhoods and the treats. Did I mention that I had actually booked the tour for the wrong month and Mackenzie made the tour happen on the fly when he found out we were on the way? Not that I recommend that others do the same, but seriously, how awesome is that?? We will definitely be looking for Mackenzie next year for another tour. Would love to do one in the summer... but leave the students at home! Thanks again, Mackenzie!!!!!

100% recommend!! From locals to tourists this tour was extremely popular among everyone! The…read moreservice we received was so great. Our bus arrived promptly and in front of our hotel. We went to four different wineries and were given a bit 80 minutes to explore Niagara on the Lake! After each winery our driver put all our bottles in designated boxes so we didn't have to carry them around the whole trip- so beneficial! We went to Pellitteri Estates Winery where we tasted their award winning white ice wine (top 100 wine in the WORLD), their red ice wine, a red and a white. We received a tour of their wine cellar, vineyard and learned about history of the winery. This was my favorite of all the wineries we went to- the quality was super high and the prices were actually pretty inexpensive! I bought their Cabernet merlot which was amazing! Wish I bought another bottle. Our second winery was Caroline Cellars. Honestly I would say I liked this winery just as much as Pelliterri- Pelliterri just had a classier vibe to it. Caroline had so many different varieties to taste! My husband and I's factories were the Pinot Cherry and Plum! So obviously we got a bottle of each. Our third winery was so pretty! Konzelmann Estate Winery looks like a castle right out of a fairytale! We were given deliciously cured meats, cheeses, crackers, and DELICIOUS ice wine truffles to pair with each of our tastings. I would definitely say their Peach wine was the best! The star of this winery was definitely their ice wine truffles. I wish I bought some- big regrets! Our last winery was our driver's pick and honestly it was pretty disappointing to end with Between the Lines. None of the wines stood out to anyone in our group. It honestly tasted like very cheap wine. Everyone on the tour wish we could go back to the first two wineries! Suggestion- take Between the Lines off your itinerary!! The time given to explore Niagara on the Lake was just enough time! We got a quick bite to eat at a nice pizza restaurant, walked to Lake Ontario, and shared an ice cream at the Cow. Such a fun time! I would definitely recommend taking this tour!

I couldn't have made a better decision. Our guide, Brendan picked us up the day we arrived at the bus terminal. We were nervous we might miss the tour because there was an unexpected delay crossing the border at the Peace Bridge. But I called the office and they assured us we would make it on time probably and if not they would help us to meet up with the tour. We luckily made it. Brendan was a great guide. He has a lot of energy and is knowledgeable about the local wines and the winemaking process. And he went out of his way to make sure everyone was having a great time. He took us to a very nice brewery, Ouest and several wineries including some extra stops of his favorites. My favorite of the wineries was Jackson Triggs because the guide there was the most knowledgeable and they gave us a tour of the whole process. The dinner at The Ravine was amazing as well. All of the vegetables in the salad are grown on the farm in back of the restaurant. I really couldn't recommend this tour more highly. Whether you're a wine snob or a novice you will enjoy it. If you do it book a tour with Brendan.

They also have private rooms where you can host lunches, dinners, or special occasions (weddings, birthdays, etc.). I was recently at Peller Estates for a family lunch which was held upstairs on the 2nd floor in the Founders Hall. The private room was intimate and spacious, which can seat up to 80 guests. The room also has a balcony and views which overlook the winery vineyards as well. For our particular lunch we were treated to a seasonal set menu consisting of 3 courses. Tea and coffee were included as well. For our set menu we had the following dishes: - Artisanal greens and bib salad (heirloom tomato, English cucumber, breakfast radish, Ice Cuvee vinaigrette) - Smoked chicken pasta (sundried tomatoes, green onions, penne pasta, Chardonnay cream sauce) - Merlot chocolate decadence cake (sponge toffee crumble, blackberry compote) The meal from start to finish was great! The salad was light and refreshing where the vegetables were lightly dressed in the vinaigrette which wasn't overpowering. The smoked chicken pasta was delicious with the Chardonnay cream sauce - only issue was that we wanted more of it! Lastly, the chocolate cake was the perfect ending to the lunch where it didn't feel too heavy. The sponge toffee crumble added a textural contrast to the dish as well. The whole meal wasn't too heavy and was just the perfect amount for lunch. Service during our meal was great. Staff served each table at a time and took away plates after we were finished eating. They also made sure to refill our water glasses every time we were running low on water. At the end of our meal, they also opened the balcony doors for us as we requested to go outside to take a few photos. I also walked around the retail store after my meal to look at the wines. The retail store is spacious and the tasting bar in the middle of the room was busy. Overall, a beautiful winery with many different kinds of experiences. The private lunch we had in the Founder's Room was tasty and the room felt spacious and intimate, the perfect setting to celebrate a special occasion with family. I can't comment on the planning process with the Peller Estates team as someone else in my family had organized the lunch, however, the food and service was great. Would definitely recommend checking out Peller Estates for their wine as well as food!

Originally I booked our tour for 3pm and then we realized we didn't need nearly as much time at our previous stop. I saw online that the 12pm tour had open spots. We arrived just before 12 and were able to join that time. The host was happy to make the accommodation. The estate is beautiful and we had great weather for October. David was a wonderful tour guide. We enjoyed navigating the estate, sampled two wines outside, one in the cellar and then one in the ice cave. The ice cave is truly a unique experience. They do provide jackets to keep you warm. Along with the tour, you get 15% off purchases in their shop. We enjoyed the ice cuvee so much, we ordered a glass each and sat outside on their patio to enjoy the day. Highly recommend booking their tour!

Great choices on the wineries/vineyards! Learned so much about the history of each place we visited, the behind-the-scenes, and a lot of fun facts about Niagara-on-the-lake! We visited 6 places in total... each had their own unique stories and very unique-tasting wines! Overall, a very memorable day :) 1. Diamond Estate Winery - One of the 2 wineries in Niagara that offer Cabernet Sauvignon Icewine #tasty! - Best known for: 20 Bees, Fresh, Dan Aykroyd Wine XD 2. Trius Winery at Hillibrand - Huge winery w/ a top notch in-house restaurant... amazing food/service/ambiance! - Best known for: Icewine :D but it can range from $85 - $200 o_o ** Lunch at Riverbend Inn & Vineyard ** - Included in our wine tour, a 3 course lunch, overlooking the beautiful vineyard :D - I had arugula salad, mushroom risotto, and warm caramelized bread pudding #yum! 3. Riverview Cellars Winery - Small family-owned winery... I can really feel the passion from the owner :) - Best known for: Fontana series! Welcome to the #FontanaFanClub 4. Konzelmann Estate Winery - German wine maker... wines tend to be sweeter :) - Best known for: Peach wine :D 5. Small Talk Vineyards - It used to be Stonechurch Winery but they are re-branding to Small Talk - Best know for: Small Talk series, Top Secret (white wine blend of blanc de noir) 6. Between The Line Family Estate Winery - Unfortunately, they don't sell any of their wines at LCBO... so, MUST VISIT :D - Best known for (according to me!): Cabernet Franc Icewine (it tasted like strawberries, and best paired w/ blue cheese!) I'm looking forward to do this again during winter/Christmas times... hopefully they will have icewine tours available!! #loveicewine #superexcited #alcoholicsunite #toomuchfun Until next time :)
