One of their delicious shakes which come in a wide assortment or flavors or a chocolate malt. Today I got a butterscotch sundae with whip cream, nuts, and a cherry on top. It was delicious and they are generous with thee toppings. I have been coming here since I was a boy when we would visit my extended family here in the summer. My mother has been enjoying their frozen treats since she was a little girl. I bring my own children here now and it is quite nice to share a great treat with my mom and the kids. I never come across business that doesn't take debit or credit cards. If anything, they can charge the additional surcharge for those that do. At least have it optional. Its usually pretty good me and my family like this place but whoever the guy is who was working on July 19th around 8-9 PM needs to be fired because he messed our order ALL up. Del's is a delicious BAD habit, I am so glad that I can only have it when visiting Melbourne or else I would explode. I have to confess that just about every night after a good meal, I'll pass up the restaurant's dessert menu so that I can get out of there and rush to Del's to cap off the night and it looks like a lot of others must do the same. Drive by late at night and they will have a steady line of fans waiting. Sometimes, the simple things in life are the most valued. Do what you do and do it the best. Del's has been serving their soft serve cones, shakes, sundaes, splits, floats since 1955 and they don't have to change a thing for the next 50 years to stay successful. They offer 4 soft serve flavors, vanilla, chocolate, strawberry and peanut butter (also a vanilla/chocolate twist). I normally keep it to a small $1.60 twist on a cone, straight-up or dipped in chocolate and polish it off driving back to my hotel. Like I said, I'm so happy that we don't have Del's in my town or else I would have to join some ice cream addicts anonymous organization. There's not much more I can say about Del's Freez that hasn't already been said before in all of the other adoring reviews. It's a Brevard County staple for a reason. I've only ever had their soft serve ice cream here, but I can emphatically agree with everyone else in saying it is fantastic, though limited in flavors (they only have chocolate, vanilla, strawberry, peanut butter, chocolate/vanilla swirl, and chocolate/peanut butter swirl.) The milkshake flavors are far more, and I will hopefully try one next time at Del's. My favorite flavor of soft serve here by far is the chocolate/peanut butter swirl, because it feels as if you're consuming a huge cold soft Reese's Cup. Also, even getting a small is not actally small... the portions are HUGE. I always easily split a small soft serve with my brother and sister, and that alone fills us all up. However, the lines are indeed perpetually long and the service pretty slow, even just to get an ice cream. The parking lot is weird and difficult to get into, and the seating area is... just really disgusting always. Still though, cheap prices for huge portions of good ice cream. Worth it. read more

The Good: This maybe one of the cutest local places to get a decent shake! The Bad: Every time I go here I get so bummed out. The workers always look annoyed, stressed, and unhappy. On our way home from a weekend down south, I got a random and unusual craving for ice cream. I get these every several months or so and they're usually pretty specific. This time, my belly wanted a McDonald's McFlurry with m&m's and caramel. Recently moved to the area and trying all of the ice cream shops. The soft serve quality here is the BEST we have found in the area - A+. The sprinkles were also super good and they load them on as it should be, if you get a small cone. I like the choices of soft flavors as well. They unfortunately lose a star for customer service. They missed my order because I was written on the back of their page but the woman scolded me that I was standing in the wrong place while waiting (??) and caused her to miss it. Lol that doesn't make any sense. Also, then they gave me the wrong flavors, chocolate and vanilla vs the strawberry and vanilla I ordered. There was a bit of a line and I guess they got overwhelmed but scolding the customer es no bueno. They need a better system and move orders through faster and correctly.
