AWESOME!! DEFINITELY LOVED IT AND WILL RETURN!!!…read more My friends (12) and I attended music bingo brunch today it was SO FUN!!! We had a BLAST! The food was delicious and creative-no boring cuisine here!! The decor is fun and atmosphere lively. From the moment you walk in you immediately feel the positive vibes and energy. Our server, Iris, was absolutely awesome. Very patient young lady with a beautiful smile. Iris earned stars with me because she remembered my name lol. The entire staff is nice and friendly. The DJ was great and entertaining! One of my friends won the first bingo game!!! We loved this place!!

The staff immediately attempted to seat us at a regular non reserved empty table in the rear of this dirty dive bar. Other tables close to the venue were all allegedly "reserved" with a sign. Strange they were never used except by people that didn't pay and just walked in after the band started to play. My wife and I would have immediately walked out but of course there was a No refund policy. (Now I understand why!) I was totally humiliated that I was scammed. I realized that if my wife and I didn't reserve a table and just showed up to eat the staff would have seated us at the exact same table! So to do damage control I actually had to take it upon myself to change tables closer to the dance floor to get what I paid for and reduce the embarrassment. We ate dinner and left. In addition the tables are dirty and sticky. Do not patronize this location at all cost!!

The espresso martini was good as was the Point Break, with tequila and guava juice, very nice, very tropical. Avalon Beach House used to be Avalon Steak & Seafood House. The first time I went in 2022, I remember it being more of a traditional steakhouse. The Ave has grown significantly around it over the years, but it's still one of the staple restaurants in a central location. Overall, it was great meal with good service and nice atmosphere. It's sill one of the gems. We started with the wedge salad and cheesy bread. We wanted to get the Filet Mignon and the Prime Cut Ribeye to share them, but they were out of the Filet which was a bit surprising. Instead, we got the Crispy Chicken Piccata. They were both excellent. The fingerlings and asparagus were good and loved the red wine sauce. The crispy chicken was not too heavy, with lemon and an ample arugula salad. I don't remember the name of desert, but it was a combo of a browny with an Oreo cookie layer (which the kid in me couldn't refuse) with a scoop vanilla ice cream. It was great.

Should you be down for grabbing a beer at a dive bar with some rowdy locals though, this may be the place for you after all... With half of downtown Delray's parking taken up by the tennis event, we ended up at the Sail Inn, and as this was my first time walking in the door, I was reminded of Obi Wan'z famous description of Mos Eisley. But it grows on you... The Sail Inn is in every sense of the phrase, a "dive bar". From the cacophony of voices assaulting you on entry, to the sticky bar top and tables, to the competing smells of stale beer, sweat, and too much perfume. We were greeted immediately, and we were served quickly, though there was no smile on the face of our harried bartender, we were just one more round of beers to pour, and though it was a busy night, he was on top of things and no one was complaining. Opting for the spacious outside patio area over the crowded inside, the din was quieted, and we got to enjoy our drinks in relative peace. Be warned this area is for smokers. The only thing keeping this place from getting another star was their weird outdoor seating policy. At 11pm anyone sitting outside enjoying the comfortable and apparently newly renovated patio has to move up into a small space next to the building. This concentrated all the smokers into one small area where we could not enjoy breathing anymore so we left.

I got the spicy cucumber/celery drink 10/10 while my wife picked the Maui wowie she hates pineapple but absolutely loved this drink! The manager Paul came over to check how we were doing but I always appreciate how the staff do not only stop to check on us but really try to have a conversation to get to know the people that come in. The outside patio was beautiful, clean and had a little market going on outside which was a nice plus on a beautiful day after a quick visit here! I'll always recommend coming here!

Our waitress constantly checked on us and refilled our waters throughout. Parking was a bit difficult. I came in the middle of the day during the week and the entirely parking lot was full. Make sure to give yourself some time to find parking, especially during lunch and dinner hours.

Looking for a late night bite, we met family here and sat in the main dining room next to the crazy busy bar. Seems like a pick up spot for twenty-something people but soon realized that the bar action was second to the food. The server had a vibrant personality and told us the burgers were the specialty of the place. The smash cheese burger was on my table within ten minutes and was small but packed lots of flavor with gooey cheese. The sweet potato fries were plentiful and delish. My pet peeve is when restaurants serve a burger with a cold piece of cheese on top, not the case here. Others at the table got the regular burgers which were larger but not as flavorful. The tower of onion rings were impressively oversized with a crispy shell. Extremely loud inside so to converse with others was a challenge but if you want a good meal try this place.

This place definitely stays busy and clearly for good reason, they run it right. There's a ton of staff, so you never feel stuck waiting for a drink or service. Everything moved fast and smoothly, especially for a prime time crowd. We had a couple of drinks and shared an appetizer. The mac and cheese balls were super yummy, perfectly crunchy on the outside, warm and cheesy inside, and exactly what we needed. They really hit the spot. Overall, just a great vibe and a fun time right in the heart of the Ave. Lively, well-staffed, and consistently solid. We'll definitely be back.
