Sometimes it's not fun to be right. I sent a request to…read moreseveral gardeners on Yelp. I outlined 3 things needed done. Just Clean Lots replied with a Robo response or Cut & Paste. Very generic "happy to help you with your garden related tasks". And "we must make an appointment". I didn't respond because I KNOW that the people who must appointments are always the WORST. They delay things forever. They tie up your whole day for nothing. And they charge way more! I like the companies that are a guy who has some other guys that work with him and they get the job done. After a few days, they reached out again. I replied and said that the robo reply wasn't good and that I'm not making an appt without knowing if they even do the tasks I needed done. I was assured that they could help with all 3. On Monday, they asked if they could come Tuesday of the following week. I said there was no way I could wait that long. Especially since there was so little change that there prices wouldn't be unreasonable. I need to know sooner rather than later if I need to move onto the next. I was talking with someone that I believe said she was the Operations Manager. Sigh... again, managers, having to inspect everything (rather than working from my description and the numerous pictures I supplied) and I told her it needed to be in a day or 2. She got back to me and proposed Thursday. That wasn't the day or 2 I wanted. But it was easier to accept than keep going back and forth. This was all on Yelp. So, I can't say if it was all one person or different people. I did get a message later saying that Wednesday would be possible. I said ok and said that anytime between 10AM and 3PM would be ok. Not that I like 5-hour windows. But again, to minimize the back and forth that would be necessary to fine tune a time. So, stayed available all day today. Made sure to be done with showering, etc before 10 so's to not be occupied if they came. 10AM came. 3PM came. Now, 5PM has come and gone and not only no show, but no contact. No request to reschedule. No apology for standing me up. Nothing. Part 2 - replying to Justin's comment You misunderstood. I don't mean that the estimate gets higher by being a week later. I mean that companies that make a trip over to spend time estimating charge more than companies that don't. They have to make up for the cost of the time of the person who is estimating rather than that person being on a job (whether it's gardening, painting, cleaning or any other work). What is referred to in your reply to my review as "building a relationship with the customer" is the exact opposite of what I want. I want the work done and not to be bothered. I shouldn't even have to be home. My gardener comes once a week and we see each other in person once a year (or less)! The best way to "build a relationship" with me is to accommodate my preferences as a customer. Not to force me to do things your way.

Lack of necessary equipment. They have no cleaning supply with them. They were just using water!? After the cleaning, my apartment still very dusty. When I was inspecting how they did, they rushing me saying they have another appointment. And they leave a bag of garbage in the house. Customer service is very good. Quick reply and answer. Still waiting for the solution of this situation. *Situation update* So, their reply is quick. However, they didn't want to take any responsibility of what they did not provided. They said they will give me refund unless I remove this review. That's why they have so many good reviews but only a few bad review. I am not happy with this answer because people should know what kind of services you could provide. So, I decided not to take the refund and leave this review here so everyone can see this. I mentioned they charged me extra $80 for post construction service. And without anything done for what I requested. " still very dusty everywhere" , they offered me $40 refund but I must remove this review. Telling me that they already give me a discount. The discount is with condition that I could pay by cash. I should not pay after what they've done. Their cleaning service for me is waste of money because nothing is done. You will end up hiring other company or you have to do it by yourself just like me.

I was using the service for about 2 years and it was good until the person that usually came left the service and said it's because they don't pay them well. Unfortunately everyone after that has been pretty bad. The most recent person (i) broke my oven door (she literally unscrewed it for no reason and didn't tell me she did and then couldn't get it back on so now I have to call someone to fix it and potentially buy a new door, (ii) went into my medicine cabinet to "organize" (there's nothing important in there thankfully but I never asked her to do it and no one has ever tried to do that), (iii) moved a dirty wet mop from under the sink (where she got it) into my clothing closet, and (iv) didn't actually clean the bathroom mirror, toilet, sweep the bathroom floor or vacuum the rug (yet had time to go into personal cabinets and drawers). After she broke the oven door I reached out to the Maid First and they didn't offer to help with anything. They only responded to me after I said they should still charge me the amount because I didn't want them to not pay her (given I've heard from other people who they have sent that they aren't being paid that well). I would suggest using another service that pays people well and provides more consistency.

(it did not look like trash - it was a bag full of makeup...) in my experience, cleaners are typically very conservative about the trash, and don't throw out items that are not in the trash bin or specifically noted... i called maidfirst to inquire about next steps, and no response. called again days later, and they either immediately declined my calls, or blocked my number. i proceeded to email them, and all emails were ignored. screenshots attached.
