I don't like writing bad reviews…read more In fact I go out of my way to acknowledge outstanding customer service because I feel it important. On the other hand, I think it's also important to let other people know when a business/franchise location shows blatant disregard for the fundamentals of customer service, is dishonest or who has a pattern of practice outside any business model, including internal company policy. Delmar Speedway surpasses the communities lowest expectations by hiring dishonest and lazy clerks and management. 25-30min before 10pm you can expect the lights outside to be off, inside to be off/dimmed in an effort to discourage patrons. This evening was particularly rediclious as the moment I walked in the clerk (Derek) stated that he had made a drop and will only accept debit cards. Not cards in general, debit cards. I confirmed I wanted to use the remainder of my fuel card and then refill card with cash per usual. I was rudely denied service. If this was a one off, I'd think nothing of it but it has become the norm all too often. I purchase roughly $200-$300 in fuel weekly for my buisness and to be denied service during open hours is unacceptable. From being shortchanged on multiple occasions to being denied from making a cash deposit on my fuel card, or any cash purchase this evening, I will be taking my business elsewhere.

I got a quick…read morebacon, egg and cheese, muffin and a coffee and she was able to take care of me with a smile, have a general conversation, throw the sandwich in the oven come back, take care of three more customers still having a conversation and give me my sandwich all within three minutes. I don't normally to someone's horn for doing their job but when you go and do your job with a smile on your face and multitask without failing, I think it deserves a shout out.

I have never been to this gas station and thought it was convenient since I just finished shopping at the Walmart supercenter across the street. When I went in and spoke to the teller, I asked if I pay a specific prepaid amount and end up fill my tank before the full prepaid amount is used if I would get a refund and the teller said "oh yeah you can come back in and get a refund". She then took my $50 bill and gave me my change and then proceeded to throw away my receipt. She did not ask me if I wanted my receipt. I went out and pressed the white sign on the left which showed regular unleaded fuel and proceeded to fill my tank. It ended up stopping at a little over 8 gallons which to me means my tank would be full but since I prepaid, she stopped it at $30 . I told her in the store that normally it takes about $32 to fill my tank but I'm not on empty so it should be less. I was fully expecting to get a refund with the $30 prepaid purchase. Instead after I pumped my gas, I asked for a receipt at the pump and it gave me one with incorrect charges. The receipt showed that I got premium fuel at $3.44 per gallon for a little over 8 gallons of gas. I went back into the store and told the cashier that she charged me incorrectly and that they owe me a refund of cash plus supplemental gas as necessary. The cashier then said "oh you must have pushed the wrong gas type" that's why your receipt shows you a different charge. I then proceeded to tell the cashier that pressed the white button, which is the first button on the left, which is regular unleaded fuel and that I know how to pump my gas for my car. I then asked if there was a store manager or phone number I could call because she could clearly check the stores video and see that I pressed unleaded fuel not premium or plus fuel. I then told her that my receipt showed $3.44 per gallon and they don't have any gas advertised for that price. The cashier seemed very laissez-faire and didn't seem to care that they charged me incorrectly. She said there's no manager and there's no number I can call. I was so upset because I'm pretty sure she does not own the station and someone has to pay her ie. the owner of the station get my drift? Upon my return home, I submitted a complaint with the Attorney General's office for fraudulent gas charges, and gas gouging for cash paying customers. I have submitted the photos of their advertised prices and my receipt. I hope this review can help save others from losing money at Petrol 9W, Glenmont, NY false advertising.
