I stopped in very early in the morning, as the employees were still setting up for the morning rush on Memorial Day. There were new pastries waiting for me in the display case and a variety of items hot and ready to eat. I desired an artisan sandwich and the staff was happy to heat it up for me. Warm, toasty, melty, goodness was delivered to me with a smile. A selection of condiments that will blow you away helped me customize my sandwich just the way I like it. I think they hike the prices extra because this pharmacy is located in Delmar and they assume everyone has money. My neighbor's daughter worked at the store when she was in high school and was constantly pressured to work more hours. That was the last straw for me. I support workers. I do not support companies who exploit the folks who work hard making them money.

It sells news, chili, soda, beer, hot dogs, ice cream, milk shakes, chips, food, house goods, frozen goods, plates, tea, sandwiches, PBJs, Ramen, snacks, candy, milk and pizza. The staff is a pretty well-established 50-50 mix of young and old and all of the attendants reinforce each other, especially during lunch and evening hours when there is a rush. The staff are vocal and assertive. Food is always fresh. Drinks always cold. There is a small island in the middle, to ladle soups (winter) and accessorize hot dogs (summer). I wonder if I accidentally signed up with a different Walgreens branch by accident?Nevertheless, it was a relatively calm Monday morning and after realizing my error they were able to take me immediately as a walk-in. My phlebotomist was the nicest person. She led me to the separate vaccination room which is very clean and kept locked with a key code. I asked her if I could get one vaccine on each arm otherwise I'm not sure I could lift them later if they get sore. One of the shots is supposed to result in more aftermath discomfort than the other. I remember it as being the flu shot but she said most patients tell her it's the Covid shot that leaves them with a bit of soreness. I'm happy to report that 30 minutes after getting both of the vaccines, I don't feel a thing in either arm! Some medical experts like to put out public reminders like, "Flu before boo," to remind people to get their shots before Halloween when flu season starts. I do have health coverage but for those who don't, it's important to remember that flu shots are free for most people at pharmacies that offer vaccines, so please get protected! Thanks, Walgreens!

With COVID causing office closures, their business has been greatly affected, less employees in the office is less foot traffic.
