Great food and value. Soups and chili are really good and homemade. Only thing I do not like are all take out customers who double park in front of the restaurant entrance and you have to walk around them. Delmar police DEPT should just start ticketing them. Went here because.....there aren't many options in this part of town and 90% of them are chains...this place was the only one that seemed pretty safe/popular as we explored the Del Mar/Salisbury area. We were glad we stopped here, the staff was super fast and helpful, Our orders didn't take very long to come out ( a large pizza, wings, and a huge slice of their cheesecake ) Everything left us pleasantly surprised. I can't remember what kind of wings we ordered...I want to say mild and they definitely weren't what your normally get when you order mild but whatever they were sauced in was pretty good. Not sure what has happened to the quality their sandwich. About two months ago i got a grilled chicken breast then recently a cheese steak sub. Both very disappointing. If that's the best they can do with grilled chicken breast I'd say take it off the menu! The recent cheese steak sub the steak was chopped and so over cooked a dry. Please retrain your cook. I was visiting Salisbury for the holidays with my family. Haven't been back home to Queens, Ny for 7 months and I've been craving pizza bad. I thought of taking the drive to NYC but my lovely Aunt said oh we have a pizza place less than 5 minutes away. I definitely thought it would be your average pizza and boy was I wrong. The pizza was perfect! Crispy crust just enough pepperoni and the cheese Mmmmmmmm. I got one slice of pizza and one soda by the time we hit the car door the slice was gone. Then I wished that I had gotten 2 slices instead of Soda. Did I mention the slices start at $1.70. These folks know what they're doing! Most staff are friendly, but the pizza absolutely sucks. It's so greasy that when you pick it up, it flops downwards immediately, everything (cheese, pepperoni) slides right off. This is not pizza. It's gross. The only thing I like there is the Pepsi and the pizza fries, but even those are undercooked and have their own cons. The little gaming area with claw machines is great!... That is if you want to lose all your money and get nothing... Or super stale candy. One waitress we had... I just didn't like her... Wasn't very friendly at all. I hate Delmar pizza. It's terrible! Do not waste your money here! Go to Pizza Hut instead!!!! Next time I ever go here, and if I do, I'll take pictures. read more

Don't be fooled, this place isn't a complete townie place. Don't be intimidated of the local high school football jerseys hanging on the walls, you won't feel like a leper when you walk in the door wearing something other than a Delmar Football shirt. The food is absolutely delicious and the pizza is second to none. It has a Greek-like crust and a sauce that is more sweet than spicy. Go for the Delmar special pizza - there's lots of flavor in the veggies. One downside is the sizes of pizzas are small, large, or extra-large. The service is extremely friendly, too. My best friend, my fiance, and I came to Delmar Pizza on Christmas Eve afternoon for lunch. We were able to watch the Ravens game and enjoy unbelievable pizza. For $46 dollars, we had a large buffalo chicken pizza, a large bacon and pineapple pizza, the appetizer sampler (a little on the smaller side), and four draft beers (that I may or may not have consumed all of them). Did I mention it's on the Delaware side of Delmar... and you know what that means... tax free! read more

How can this place be so amazing and so inexpensive at the same time? Things to order here that I sometimes dream about: Greek salad: huge, FANTASTIC dolmades, perfect greek dressing, all of the fixings you'd expect Baklava: basically inspired me to learn how to cook Calzone: nuff said When I was in elementary/middle/high school, it seemed like just about every social gathering was held here. It has a special place in my heart. Another important thing to realize is that EVO is served here. Sidenote: I am so so so proud that EVO came out of my "hometown." It is fantastic and rivals quite a few more established microbreweries I've tried. The bottomline is, anything you order from here will be fantastic. Hello, Best Thing in Delmar. Hey, hi. Can we be friends? Good food, friendly staff, really cheap prices, big portions, and a lot of options on the menu. Their pizza is one of the best I've ever had, but the rest of the menu is excellent, too. They have enough vegetarian options that I can get something different every time (I recommend the eggplant parmesan sub though) and I hear that the meat dishes aren't too shabby either. The only bad thing about this place is its popularity. It's crowded at dinner time on weeknights and absolutely packed to the rafters on Friday and Saturday nights, which makes service slow and the wait staff have short-term memory problems. And if you're going with anyone in a wheelchair, tell them to bring the smallest chair they've got, because navigating between the tables is always difficult and always disturbs other diners, who have to get up and push their chairs in. You can go here with a wheelchair, but don't do it if you're shy. It's a local place, with local customers and staff, and Delmar Wildcats football jerseys on the wall. That said, it shouldn't be just a place for locals only. I really do think the food is good enough that it's worth a stop on your drive down the Ocean/Shore (select as appropriate). read more

I am rating this place solely on the fact that their service and staff was great and the prices were great as well. I am from New York City so to compare their pizza to what I'm used to just wouldn't be fair. My wife and I had a bowl of soup and a large pizza, half with pineapple. Picked this place because they had more reviews than the other pizza places nearby. Super happy we went here. It took about 12/15 mins for out pizza to come out. The wait staff was very attentive. Let me first start out by saying .. the pizza at Delmar Pizza is excellent 8 out of 10 times.. every Friday is pizza and movie night for me and my family and 3 out of 4 weeks we choose Delmar Pizza ( even though we live in Princess Anne).. this particular Friday we ordered 2 XL pizzas and french fries as always... the pizza was mediocre/ the fries were inedible.. they were cold/ hard/ stale/ and brown/.. which I discovered when I was home approx a 40 min ride... I understand things hapoen.. no problem.. I'll just come and get a refundnext week when I order I can get the fries on credit.. easy fix.. I called the restaurant and informed the staff about my dissatisfaction.. then I was informed that I could come and get fresh fries as long as I brought the old fries back with me... I kindly explained to her I was 40 minutes away and would not be returning till the weekend.. and she said I still needed to being the fries back with me when I returned to exchange them out.. I understand some people try to get over on places/ but common sense would say if I was trying to get over on this establishment I would have complained about the pizzas/ not a 4 dollar food item.. is ot me or is that totally ridiculous.. this is the first time I've ever wrote a review.. I'll give this place 4 stars because of the friendliness, short wait, busyness, and good food. The pizza? A little too thick on the crust. A little too much topping. I had the vegetarian pizza, and it was loaded too much for my liking. Coming from New York, my taste for pizza may be a little bit different; they could use half the dough, or make twice as many pizzas. Otherwise the flavor was there. Their Greek salad was great. I had heard great things about this place, so I was quite surprised when the service was less-than-stellar and the food... meh. I was greeted by a gruff hostess, who quickly sat me at a table directly in front of the cold breeze of the constantly-opening door. Once I got seated, my order was taken promptly. The broccoli bites were great, even though they seemed typical of this type of pizza joint. But then the Chicken Taco Salad came. Quite disappointing, because this main course prodded one of my biggest pet peeves. The salad included onions and peppers, neither of which are listed as ingredients on the menu. ("...topped with savory strips of grilled chicken breast, a blend of cheese & sliced black olives, served in a crunchy taco shell with salsa & sour cream"). But then, once I pushed the dish away to indicate to my server that I was displeased, it took a good 20+ minutes for her to ask what was wrong. They eventually rectified the order, and the server apologized profusely for the blunder. But, my impression was already soured. I might try it again to see if my experience was isolated, but I was not impressed my first go-round. read more

My husband and I live down the street from Delmar Pizza & I have to say we truly believe they have the best pizza on the Eastern Shore & it is cheaper than all the big chains. What we do most of the time is just get take out because we are usually too busy to go and sit down for dinner & don't have any children yet to we'd rather be at home together than out with a bunch of other families. Both of grew up in Salisbury and went to the local colleges, no other pizza we've had (and we had a lot in college!) even compares. When our friends from around the area come over, they practically beg us to go get a pizza from Delmar Pizza! It's just that good :) read more

Quick friendly service. I had a steak calzone. I added, garlic, peppers, and onions. I was amazed how quickly it came our perfectly done. Their sauce was homemade and also delicious. I snuck a few spoonful besides dipping my calzone in it. I wish I over near here. Very authentic. read more

I love this place, not just because it's close to my house but for the variety of food. It's not just a pizza joint. Quite frequently, I get the dinner they offer. Many of the specials can be found on their Facebook page and at a reasonable price. While I rarely dine in, the few times I have were great.
