Great spot to grab breakfast or lunch located at the edge of Havensite shopping center in town. Not so great visit this particular time unfortunately not so much due to the food as that came out well, but the service was awful. It was Sunday and after church so they were busy. Plus add a pandemic to the mix and spaced out tables which complicates things further. They have outdoor and indoor seating, we wanted outdoor. Well I had been waiting for about 10 minutes to be seated and another party had arrived behind me, and they were approached first which was annoying but they were nice enough to indicate I was there first. I advised how many were in our party and the server pointed to a four top (we had 6) we said it could work as we could add a chair and my little one could sit on my lap. They seated us, took our drink and food order and that was that. Well we were then approached by I guess what was a manager advising we couldn't sit there and had to move inside as there was a table that could accommodate us there. My mother in law didn't want to move and it took some convincing from us because we were hungry and at that point A whatever. Apparently we were in the way but truly it could have worked. We begrudgingly moved inside, got our drinks, and I think 45 minutes to an hour had passed by the time we got our food. Oh, and I got mine about 10 minutes after everyone else, so good timing wasn't great. My mother in law was also pretty upset that they didn't advise her they were out of the dressing that comes with the salad she ordered which is why she gets that salad...the quickest they were was to clean the tables while we were still seated at them. If you come for breakfast, get ready for lunch because that's how long it will take to get your food. Everything runs at about the speed of smell. The food was mediocre at best. They automatically charge 18% for groups of 4+. Only on the island with a steady stream of tourists can a place like this exist. Anywhere else it would fold in a heartbeat. Sadly, this seems to be a common theme (now on vacation day 3 of 8). Best advice is to stay at a place w a kitchen and do your own grocery shopping and cooking. We went here for breakfast. It was decent, but being so close to where the cruise ship docked, I think it is ranked higher because more people go there. I got the regular pancakes, they were decent, although I did like the syrup, it had cinnamon in it. My daughter got blueberry pancakes, they were packed with blueberries. I think this place is best for people wanting to drink prior to getting back on the ship. There are way better places to eat breakfast on the island. read more

I'm a patient person but it took over 30 min to get 2 cups of water, we ordered and took almost an hour to get our food. With slow service it would've been appreciated if the service was great but that was not the case. At least acknowledging that the food will take awhile or apologize for the slowness. NOPE!! None of that. I don't mind the automatic gratuity at all but when it comes to service like this, it's absolutely not fair because they don't deserve the 18%. If you really want to eat here then you better allow probably 2-3 hours to eat. At the end we literally had to ask for them to put it in takeout boxes and bring the check because we really couldn't sit and wait any longer. The guy we had as our server didn't even apologize or anything when he brought out the food. I went up to pay and he just brought it out and set it in front of me and didn't say a word, not one sorry or anything at all. Absolutely just disgusted. Never again! Though I do want to give praise to the other guy who was working the bar area was more attentive to us than our actual server and communicated our orders to our server. It took forever for us to be waited on, then took a while for our food to come out, and then we were barely checked on. We came here to the Delly Deck the other day for lunch after diving because we knew a ship wasn't in and we figured there wouldn't be many people around...BINGO! Hit it at the perfect time, there were only about 2 other parties in the restaurant and we pretty much had the place to ourselves! We felt like sandwiches and wanted to try something new, and we were both happy we did! Their menu is large, they have sandwiches, burgers, and amazingly serve breakfast all day! My husband got an omelette, and I chose the Cuban sandwich. The atmosphere here is nice, its in a little corner of Havensight tucked away right before the hill to go to the Marriott. We enjoyed the nice outdoor seating while waiting for our food, and they also have a couple TV's so you can catch up on the news if you are like us and don't have cable...well our food came out quickly, which was great, and it was very good! My Cuban was actually awesome, came on a panini and had just the perfect amount of pork to ham to cheese to mustard to pickle ratio...I loved it! Very tasty and I would definitely order it again! I also got coleslaw and it was good as well, and I broke down and got fries too and they were really good also. My husband really liked his omelette as well, and of course helped me with my fries! And lastly a small detail that I was excited about: they use House Recipe ketchup! I love this ketchup, I think it has great flavor and tastes way better than other brands....so yes, I had to order fries to go with this wonderful condiment. Anyway, I was stoked about it. So yes, next time we are in Havensight, we will most likely hit up Delly Deck again, they had great food, and the service was also good, the young man that waited on us was really attentive and very nice and friendly...a great experience all around! read more

Went to the Delly Deck with hubby and mom and found it very very mediocre. Think like a Dennys the eggs and cornbeef hash is out of a can. I mean for the prices your paying just go to Pueblos or Gourmet Galley and buy a can of cornbeef hash and make it for the whole family with eggs and toast cheaper than what we spent for one at the Delly Deck. Ok we had pina coladas one virgin for mom. It was ok??? Like a mix or something. Had the eggs benedict also the hollandaise sauce not fresh out of a jar or package. I'm in St. Thomas on a work contract. My family came to town and I wanted to pick them up some local cuisine for breakfast on a Monday morning after getting off work from the hospital. Hours posted on the door for Monday said Delly Deck opened at 7AM. I arrived at 7:35AM and when I walked in I was ignored for five minutes. When a Delly Deck staff member did acknowledge me he said, "No customers until 8," and motioned for me to exit. So disappointing. They are SO RUDE here- my family and I ate breakfast here 3 times last week because our options were limited for breakfast. The first time the girl taking our order left mid order to go take 2 different tables of locals orders. Second day the girl took 10 minutes to even come take our order didn't say one word and just stood there glaring at us with her pen and pad. Third visit a girl ran our food out we asked for silverware and she scoffed and said nope ask your server. They are all very icy and cold and watched them rush people out who weren't even done with their food. And they add a service charge for only 3 people to ensure their tip. We are staying at the Ritz and wanted brunch and didn't make it to breakfast at the hotel so we had to venture out. Took a cab to Charlotte Amalie which is the shopping center you see when you drive in and Delly Deck was PERFECT!! Hubby wanted breakfast (no pic because he scarfed it all down with nothing left on his plate lol) and I had a island type of sandwich with pork, ham and cheese and it was about $13 for mine and $12 for his. Totally worth it and affordable for HOMEMADE food. The drinks were delicious, Caribbean Romance was made with 3 different rums and was awesome. Definitely a good brunch spot. We found this place while watching around the town in our hotel room. And it was GREAT! When I mean GREAT, the food was good ( like a home cooked breakfast), the waitress was nice and last but not least the price was reasonable. Paying $20 for a mediocre breakfast at the hotel is re-dayumdiculous. Plus we got to get our souvenir shopping down in the havensight shops and took food back to the hotel from a chinese place. Great food and staff. My omelet was great...however the home potatoes were a little dry and over cooked. All in all the food was great. My husband had cornbeef hash, grits and eggs.
