I went to this location one year ago, and I was surprised when I was charged $65 for a simple haircut. One year later, due to my busy schedule, I decided to book with them again since I live nearby. I was thinking I would pay the same as the last time, but I was appalled when I was told my hair cut was $85 dollars. To make matters worse, they cut my hair two inches shorter than requested, and when I got home, my daughter told me there was a strand of hair longer than the rest on the back of my head. I didn't see it at the salon because the hairdresser did not show what my hair looked like in the back with a mirror, as they usually do. I had to trim it myself. Honestly, for 85 bucks, that is just UNACCEPTABLE. I work hard for my money. The price and service are just disappointing. read more

Showed stylist with my hand where I wanted the longest part of my hair. She cut it way too short and got water all the way down my back on a cold February night. I tried to get a refund but they refused to accommodate and said I could have a gift card instead. It is now 4 months later and my hair is still too short to do anything with. This place is sort of tucked out of the way in a small shopping mall next to the Donelan's in Acton (Rt119). From the outside I was expecting your run of the mill "hair cut" salon typical of a mini mall. However, I was quite surprised to find a nice layout of a professional salon when I walked through the doors. The place was busy and all 10 or so chairs were filled with clientele getting styled. They have a pretty wide selection of salon products which takes up most of their waiting area (only a couple of chairs for folks to wait on their appointment). My appointment was with Lynn - from what I could tell a well experienced and professional stylist. We talked about what I had in mind and she went to work. She was upbeat and nice as she gave me a fairly standard guys cut and style. Overall I was extremely pleased with her work. After going to another establishment in the Acton area which left me feeling like "what the??", i was pleased to find Lynn and Dellaria Salon. The only reason I didn't give this place a 5 star rating was simply the price. I paid almost $40 for a men's wash, cut, and style. I know this is a well-to-do area in Acton, however this price is something I would expect to pay in downtown Boston - not the suburbs. I have lived in Seattle and Old Town Alexandria (just outside DC) and have never paid more than $35 for the exact same cut/styling. I know this isn't something Lynn was responsible for individually, but set by the Dellaria establishment itself. So my recommendation would be to check this place out, and be sure to ask for Lynn, just know that you are going to pay top dollar for the experience. read more

I went in as a walk in and just wanted a trim and a blow dry. The trim went ok but I knew the girl was nervous when it came time to blow dry my hair . I have curly hair but nothing extreme more like a wavy curly texture. She had turned my chair around so I couldn't see the work she was doing . To my horror my hair looked so puffy and dry it looked like I just rolled out of bed . I honestly think my 12 year old daughter could have done a better job. Then she said that she hasn't had someone with hair like mine. What was that supposed to mean?) I still got over charged . I paid the 58$ and still gave her a tip as a always do. I went home disappointed . That night I noticed I had been charged twice! I called and they said they only charged me once and I will not be getting a refund !! I called my bank to depute the charges cause they most definitely charged me twice (I'll show a pic of It) and when I had told them of my experience there all the manager said was I'll make a note of it . Made an appointment on line & didn't realize I didn't confirm so when I arrived they didn't have my daughter's appointment. They were SO polite and made an arrangement with Vinny to fit her in. He was wonderful with her- gave her beautiful highlights and a great cut! None of the staff acted like we were a burden even though we didn't have an "official" appointment. My daughter is living at home while she finishes her graduate degree, and she needed to have her hair trimmed. She called for an appointment, and was told that a simple trim would cost $60, which seemed high to both of us. I told her to just go ahead and book an appointment, and I would pay for the trim. When she arrived at the salon, she was told that a different stylist would be cutting her hair, and her rate was $75. She tried to explain that she had been quoted a lower price, and eventually, the person she was speaking with offered her a $15 credit for her next cut at Dellaria. That is a credit we will never use, as none of us would step foot into this salon again. My daughter has very straight, long hair, and the stylist trimmed off one inch. The whole process took less than 15 minutes. I will tell anyone who asks about salons in Acton to be sure to avoid Dellaria. read more

These people have no idea what they are doing. I spent $175 here on one visit, getting a color, cut and keratin treatment. The color was perfect. The keratin treatment left my hair feeling amazing. Then, I was given a MULLET, intentionally, which I most assuredly did not ask for. And when I say mullet, I mean a Joe Dirt mullet that barely touched my shoulders it was so short (also not what i asked for). My back was turned to the mirror during the cut, and when she turned me around to see my hair, I sobbed. She smiled. I paid, and tipped her, as I felt I should because I always tip people who serve me. I went out to my car and cried. About 15 minutes later, I went back to the shop to ask for the phone number for their corporate office. At which point, I was asked to step outside, so I did. Then I saw the manager of the Salon HOLDING THE DOOR SHUT. I demanded the corporate phone number, which I did not get that day. I left, and looked up the phone number for Dellaria's corporate office, called, and was told they would refund my $40 for the cut, but that was it. They recommended a different Dellaria Salon could fix my hair, which they tried to do. But I looked like an 80's hair band member for about 3 months. This Salon is a joke. Bad management, bad stylists, no manners, let alone customer service expertise. I haven't been to a salon since, because I don't trust the stylists not to take their frustration or jealousy or whatever out on my hair. Thanks for scarring me for life, Dellaria! I went to Dellaria a few months ago for a cut. I saw Meagan P. (long wavy blond hair), who was so sweet. She offered me coffee, which was a nice little perk. Meagan did exactly what I asked for, expertly. I always have a problem with stylists cutting my hair shorter than I want, especially my side bang (Does this have a name? You know what I mean), which I was trying to trim and shape a bit while it grows out and she fixed me right up and blended the bang right into the rest of my hair and shaped the sides a bit to frame my face. For the blow dry she asked if I wanted to go stick straight (I have very straight hair) or add a little waviness to it and I opted for the latter. Its always nice to have something different and special, even though my hair tends to droop out of it after about 15 minutes- you can use a hot curler in my hair and shellac it with hairspray and it will be flat in 30 minutes. Seriously you have to be a wizard to keep a curl in my hair. Meagan styled it and added a little product and gave it as much oomph as my hair will begrudgingly accept. I looked *Good* walking out of that salon. I am not a selfie person, and I took some selfies in the parking lot before getting in my car. My hair felt light and airy and bouncy, which just does not happen haha. It still looked good and had some volume when I got home later on that night. It feels awesome walking around with sexy hair. Pleasant from first phone call through cut to paying. Meagan was my stylist. Very friendly. We talked about what I wanted then headed to the sink. I'd already shampooed/conditioned that morning so she just wet my hair. Now, first you need to understand that my fine, curly hair needs a proper cut. Many stylists, oddly, don't know how to deal with it. Meagan did. She asked if I wanted product applied (yes), and we discussed options. Again, my hair dictates product that works with my hair type. She offered for me to apply (no one ever asks that!), but I wanted her to do her magic. She cut exactly the way we discussed, and the result was better than I'd anticipated. I'd had a great experience years ago in the Summer Street salon, but I no longer work right there. I'd received a gift cert for Dellaria and discovered the Acton location, and luckily - Meagan. Anyway, she was fast, but I did not feel rushed. In her non-pushy way, Meagan made excellent recommendations. I will absolutely return for my next hair cut. (Meagan is the one with the long, curly hair. Sorry, don't know her last name.) While I didn't partake, I was offered a bevy from their bar....coffee, tea, water, juice. I have been seeing Aislinn at Dellaria in Acton for a number of years for color and cut. She is very skillful at cutting and she has helped me become more adventurous with color because of her great instincts. I have gone from boy cuts to growing my hair out to chin length and have been happy with the haircut every time. My color has been various shades of brown to blond and the color always looks good. Booked my daughter a 1 hour appointment to get her hair done for an event. The receptionist was friendly (reason for the 2 stars vs 1). The hair dresser (Sue) seemed annoyed when she took her... not friendly whatsoever. Daughter's hair is pretty curly, so I explain that this is why her hair is in a Dutch braid. She decides to take out the braid & runs her fingers through it... all I know is that it was frizzy before she even started working on her hair. No product was put in at all in the beginning so by the time she finished, it was frizzy throughout. My daughter asked if she could fix her ponytail, which was ridiculously frizzy (or else she would have left it like that), and she ran around the salon looking for Deva products. She told my daughter that curling the bottom would take too much time, even though there was still 35 mins left on her appointment. I ended up paying, tipping(def too much), and headed straight to CVS to get products for her hair. As soon as I saw it, I knew it would need to be fixed. My sister & I ended up taking it all out & redoing it.... there was no way I could leave her like that... to be honest, it was a bit of an embarrassment to say that her hair do just came from a salon. What bothers me though, was the lack of knowledge on curly hair (hair dresser should've said something before she started), the lack of enthusiasm and bare minimum effort. read more

I had someone do a double process on me which caused sores all over my head. Went to another place and had my hair corrected but not happy with the results and the stylist wouldn't listen to what I wanted. I had an appointment with Tia today and I can say that my search is over trying to find a stylist. She listened to everything I asked for and delivered beyond my expectations. As a woman with short hair, finding a stylist who has a clue when you live out in the suburbs is somewhere between difficult and impossible. After getting what I consider to be "old lady haircuts" (sorry old ladies) at two different Acton/Littleton salons, I no longer wanted to take anyone's advice on their "great" stylist! I have gotten good cuts at other Dellarias in the past, so I randomly booked a Friday night appointment at this Dellaria with Sue. Sue listened to what I wanted, looked through the pictures that I brought, made suggestions, and gave me an excellent, age appropriate (mid-30s), haircut and blow dry. I could not have asked for more. Her techniques are very good, and it is clear that she is an experienced and knowledgable stylist. Her level of chattiness was also just right. The price was high for out here ($65 for cut/dry), and I would imagine that some would complain about it. However, I have paid a lot more for a cut, and had to go into Boston for it too. I will happily continue to pay the price here for an excellent cut in a convenient location with great hours. read more

Had a blowout. They did a nice job BUT it was $65. I think that is a little ridiculous for the suburbs and a pretty dilapidated salon. The place needs a facelift and a good thorough cleaning. Maybe just maybe you can get away with prices like that if it's super nice and you offer me a cup of tea or cucumber water or something like that but I'd probably still be frustrated at spending 65. From my own experience with my stylist, Meghan, I've had extremely positive results. I've been everywhere for foils and cuts and have been to the best of the best. Last week, Meghan did my foil and cut which was absolute perfection. She listens carefully to your requests and did exactly what I wanted. My hair came out amazing. My husband said it was the best work he's seen. I have come home from other salons, and he knew I wasn't happy. My hair is very fine with grey popping up everywhere. Meghan did a base color and foil and blended the cut into areas where I'm losing hair at the crown. Not only can I cover those areas with her expert styling, it seems as though I have more hair. I don't normally write reviews, and as everyone, I'm very fussy about how my hair looks. Ive been to this salon twice now and the first time was fine, however the second time was a regretful visit. I was first greeted by the receptionist, there was no place to sit so she sent me to the back of the salon, offered no water or anything, mind you the back of the salon is where they have all the beverages. She then asked another stylist to wash my hair while my stylist finished, normally this would not be a problem but I dont think the stylists that was asked appreciated it. She proceed to wash my hair and treated my head like she was washing a DOG! I felt like I was in a car wash, the whole thing lasted about 5 min but I ended up with a headache. I finally sat down with my stylist and I really didn't know what I wanted since my hair is thin and curly it can be a bit tricky. We settled on a cut and then a blow dry, the whole thing took about 20min. I ended up buying some product but after a day of using it, I realized that the product was not right for my hair, so I went in with my receipt to return it only to be greeted by the same receptionist. This time she was plain rude, didn't say anything to me, acted like I stole the damn thing and was upset? Anyhow the hair style ended being the wrong cut for my hair type, I think the stylist should have known and should have advised me other wise? Anyhoo it was probably my fault. I wanted to go back to get it fixed but with the horrible experience I had I just went to another salon. I've been going to this salon since I was 5, but I have always just had a cut and blow dry. Last week I saw Tia for a balayage, which was a HUGE change. I was very nervous about it being too blonde or that it just wouldn't look good on me. Tia absolutely NAILED it. I've never gotten so many compliments on my hair before. It's so perfectly blended and the cut was exactly what I wanted. I just show Tia a picture and she made it reality. The salon should be honest when you call in a hurry and ask for someone who could handle thick hair, instead of just giving you the new girls who are doing nothing because the only thing they can do is sweep the floor and maybe wash hair. I have to say that I was pleasantly surprised by how great an experience I had at Dellaria. I have been living in the area for almost two years and have yet to find a salon where I wanted to go back for a second appt. Problem has officially been solved. I had a cut and color with Shawna and she smiled at me as I explained how I had used a box of hair color on my super thick blonde hair, where two boxes would have been necessary, leaving a botched at home color job. She helped me solve my color problem without making me feel stupid about it and cut my hair while making judgement based on my texture and thickness. We even talked about going pink at a later time where she also made assessments on what it would take. I felt that she was knowledgeable and looking out for my hair's best interest. Plus my hair cut is AWESOME, when I had given her vague and disjointed direction on what I wanted/needed. I will be definitely booking a return appt. read more

After going in today, I would rate Dellaria zero stars if I could. Julie, the salon manager, was incredibly rude and has absolutely no consideration or knowledge of customer care or service. The transfer/re-do report she wrote up and sent to both corporate and the Natick salon (mind you, without or review) was completely false and an outright lie designed to cover her ass and her salon. Corporate has not extended us the courtesy of returning our calls. We are completely disappointed in the way this situation has been handled. Writing outright lies in a re-do report is poor business practice, ever heard of the customer is always right? If a customer is disappointed in the way their hair came out you do everything you can to make them happy- not write lies about them. When we read the copy of the report and saw that it was full of fallacies, we politely asked Julie if she could fix this. She was snarky and rude, handed us a pen and said we could write whatever we wanted on our copy. Even though she already sent it to corporate and the Natick salon without our review or input. If your salon is in such poor standing that you have to write false reports in order to cover your ass, I feel sorry for you and your poor business and management practices. It is absolutely laughable that Yvette is a "master stylist" yet does not know how to check foils on BOTH sides before removing them. Obviously, if you dyed the left side of my hair first, it will be lighter than the right. Not checking the right side of my foils led to an uneven hair dye job, which is why the left side of my hair is lighter than the right, and the top layer was not dyed thoroughly. If you are thinking about coming to this salon to get your hair dyed as a first time customer I would highly stress NOT TO. No person should ever give their money, time, and business to a salon that cares more about themselves than their customers. Shame on you. read more

First let me start by saying that I am one of those people who prefers to fly by the seat of my pants. Therefore, I very rarely make an appointment ahead of time and I'm the type who will just call in a moment's notice and ask who is available. The benefits of this, is that I get to try out a variety of stylists and I would have to say that I have not been disappointed. Each stylist at this salon offers a different talent and a different outlook. I love that I have that flexibility to be able to see whoever is available and know that I'll be in good hands and that they're well qualified to do what's best for my hair. I also love the fact that this Salon seems to work together cohesively as if they're all in the same team, which is how it should be. I feel that they communicate with each other about what's best for the client so if you do end up needing to see somebody else because your hair stylist is not available rest assured that you will be well taken care of. The only reason I do not give it a 5 star is because of the pricing. I agree with the other reviews if you're going to pay that price you might as well go to Boston, but since Boston drivers are crazy...I choose to go here. ;) read more
