I made a huge mistake by paying to the owner's wife directly. No receipt. I went for 3 classes and I absolutely loved it. But then the owner cancelled lessons due to " family circumstances ". He promised to make up for those classes, but disappeared completely. I called and left messages, I texted, reached out in social media. No response. I will report him to a business bureau, but I did lose money. Very disappointing and unprofessional!

The lifeguard on duty gave each child a brief swim test and made sure those not as skilled had the proper flootys. There is a change room area for the swimmers also. As I type the party is haulers by the presence of a huge bug on the table... I noticed everyone complaining about their eyes and throat burning in the pool. I will say of all the local swim places this place had the best rates for swim lessons so I will be in touch for that. I will absolutely recommend this place for lessons, or a local party option.

I have, for years, wanted to take SCUBA classes. After kicking the idea around for a while I…read morestopped in at a few shops, some of which were clearly less-than-honest about the pricing. I asked a few friends, young and old, about their opinions, and the only shop to get high recommendations was Cedar Grove Divers Supply. So I stopped in the shop to talk. Let me be clear, scuba diving is not cheap. But it doesn't have to cost an arm and a leg. CGDS was up front about the cost, which was reasonable. Some places say they are cheaper, but then add "pool fees" and "certification fees." CGDS has awesome supplies in stock, and let me try out items before making the decision on what to buy. They include so much in their course, which doesn't begin to explain the experience of the instructor. The primary instructor, Doug, has been diving for longer that I have been alive. The wealth of knowledge provided during class, during open water dives, and during general discussion is unparalleled. Classes and certification dive days felt more like talking to friends than taking a class. I can't say enough about this family owned operation, and would recommend it to anyone. In fact, some of my own family members will be signing up soon. I will be back for more advanced training in the future!

This is a nice community pool!…read more I wish they had chairs, but luckily there are plenty of grassy areas for setting down blankets and your own chairs, plus benches and picnic tables. I love that there is a separate kiddie pool for smaller kids and that it is fenced in and separated from the big pool. I also love that they keep a bin for community toys. I always end up losing my kids things when we go to the pool, so it's nice to know that we don't need to bring our own toys from home. The little kids pool is very spacious with a few sprinklers, and then the big pool is quite large with a slide and a diving board. There is also a playground area and a snack shack. Overall this is a nice thing to have in our community, and $500 for a family summer membership feels reasonable.

A Pool Where You Can Relax on the Grass…read more The Morris Plains Community Park Pool has some nice amenities: Swimming Lanes, Water Slide, 2 Diving Boards, Wading Pool, Grassy Areas, 2 Stationary Canopies, Men's & Women's rooms, and a Basketball Court. The Wading Area was gated and seemed relatively safe for little ones to play while supervised. The turtle and flower fountains were definitely something to see. The main pool was sectioned off into 3 main areas. The far end of the pool next to the Wading Area was set up for general play which included a little water basketball hoop. The center of the pool was set up use of the water slide, diving boards, and swimming lanes. The street side of the pool was set up for leisurely wading/swimming. Pros: The Pool Slide was fun and felt like it was shooting you out into the pool at top speed by the time you got to the bottom of it. The Wading Area was super cute. The grass lawns where you could set up some of your own chairs offered a sense of being at home or at the park. Cons: Even with the daily highs in the mid 80s for the past few days, the water was freezing. My family was all shivering even though we were swimming around in the water. The pool surface texturing inside the water occasionally felt like it was raking your feet instead of providing any kind of traction. The staff decided to clean the Men's changing room before the patrons were gone which caused it to be unavailable for use for more than 15 minutes. It was also left in soaked state which made it impossible to change out of one's wet clothes and into dry clothes in any kind safe or satisfactory feeling way. It was nice to visit for a few hours, but I don't think this will be the primary pool that my family visits during pool season.

They're kinda amazing! Their shop also had every piece of equipment I could possibly ask for to get setup for my classes.
