The whole summer My grandson that have autism have been able to use a side of the pool with me without any issues , Today two lifeguards approach him in a rude way telling him to move to another area of the pool. . I immediately intervene and asked them what was the problem. They Explained to me that the area was restricted for the usa of the slide only.. I told him that we've been using the area for the whole summer without any problem, but immediately remove my kid and went to the other side of the pool. I did tell them that they needed to approach a child in a different way since it was not his fault the whole summer we were allow to use that particular area . One of them just laugh at me and I then decided to speak to the pool supervisor. I went to the office with with other lifeguards were present and I explain to the supervisor of what just happened. I told the supervisor that we will follow the rules, but I did let him know that the whole summer area was open to all the kids and even adults . Also I explain it to him that my grandson have Autism and the two lifeguards were very intimidated the way they were talking to him till I got involved. The supervisor I assure me that he was gonna talk to them . I then proceeded to go to the other side of the pool with my two grandkids.. as I passed by one lifeguard on duty, I heard him making fun of my conversations with the supervisor telling out loud where other kids and family can hear him saying " The kids have autism And his Grndma is complaining "and all that while laughing. My grandson were humiliating in front of other kids his age .He heard him . I then went back to the Supervisor and informed me what just happened.. at that point I was limit. I was angry and hurt for my grandson. I then advise the supervisor. that I was going to report this incident.. I felt like he was not taking the incident seriously. He was more worried about me reporting the incident then my grandson who was humiliated and embarrassed by this incident.. my grandson is a high functioning child that happened to be on the spectrum. I then procedure to leave and call my Uber and while waiting for my Uber , not one but 3 police officer show up and were notify by a adult employee that refuse to identify herself to me that they wanted me to leave The Knew that I was waiting on a Uber . They did that to intimidate me because I assure them early that I was going to report this incident to the Mayor's office. If this is how North Burgen intimidate their residence when a resident have a complain then this is a big problem . I will not allow anyone to intimidate me when defending my grandson's , rights. Three police officers !!! I will not allow anyone to silence me or intimidate me at all . This incident will be know Trust me . I will be moving forward to take this complaint to the right authority.

This pool is tiny...and dirty…read more There is usually a line to get in as they do monitor how many people are in the pool as they should. The pool is pretty small and it can get rowdy. It also isn't the cleanest pool, even though they make you shower before getting in. There is dirt and loose hair floating all around and it's pretty gross when it gets stuck to you. It's a hassle for me to get here, so unless I'm in the area and I'm about to melt, I'll probably pass.

If you come during the day on a weekend, it could get super duper crowded, but I don't know any gym in Hoboken that doesn't get rush hours. Most people don't clean off the equipment after they use it, but the equipment is pretty clean so we don't feel grossed out. I most often go to the pool, which is a really nice sized (25 yards?) one. Heated most of the time, definitely during the winter. I don't think they swap out the water often and just dump cleaning detergent in their to keep it fairly clean, but I deal with it because this is the only gym in Hoboken that has a pool and for me a pool with questionable water is better than no pool at all. I always wear a waterproof, rubber cap to protect my hair. The pool has four lanes (3 on the weekends during family swim hours) and in the weekday mornings I almost always have a lane to myself but on the weekends I often have to share. The showers are acceptable. Definitely not always clean and the shower curtains are short so the water always leaks into the drying area in front of the shower, but nothing flip flops won't solve. They offer complimentary small and large towels at the front desk if you ask for them. The soap, conditioner and shampoo is almost always full in the showers, I've only had one time where something had run out. My husband and I signed up for a 6-month plan and it runs us $167/month. Staff is nice enough. They also have discounted, validated parking, I think it's like $8 or something (I saw a sign once about it). Overall, is it the best gym ever? Is it an Equinox? For sure not. But it meets our needs and is just good enough that we'll probably stick around until we move away.

I have experienced some really good ones and some really bad ones-- Puzzle Out and Grand Theft Jersey City would rank in the top of the middle. On Friday night, we booked a room for 10 of us friends for the following Saturday Night. I was surprised they had availability for their 10PM session. I gave the room a call first to ask if it would be possible to have a private game since there were so many of us. It worked out because they have two of the same rooms-- a walk in came so they were able to put them in the other room. The website says that up to 30 people can play in this room (which is CRAZY) but I don't think that's correct. 10 in the room is the perfect amount. The game itself was fun. I haven't done one where there was more than one objective (i.e. to get out and get more money). There were a few broken/notworking elements which essentially hindered our overall performance (if we were able to use it properly we would've gotten out). The debrief at the end was also a little unorganized. All in all, I'd come again or go to their Hoboken location to try another room.

Neither of us foresaw this and we were both looking forward to attending prior to becoming ill. I am aware that there is a $30 rescheduling fee (which seems high, as each of our tickets cost $30 as it is) but I thought that illness might be an exception, especially as this rash is highly contagious and I did not develop the blisters until this morning (the day of the booking). Unfortunately, upon calling, the employee informed me that his manager could not authorize the waiving of our rebooking fee. I honestly find this to be ridiculous! When exactly does the manager find a situation necessary for the fee to be waived!? Only after someone dies? Am I really expected to come in and participate, possibly infecting all those I come into contact with and while in pain? My husband and I are first time parents and live in Jersey City with no nearby family. We literally had this date night planned for weeks and it was devastating enough just to have to reschedule it, let alone find I needed to cough up ANOTHER $30 just to schedule it for another day. I am not made of money as it is and have to budget out the things we do paycheck to paycheck. Not only do I not have an extra $30 on hand, I also feel strongly that it was not fair or just to expect me to pay. I honestly feel like the manager I spoke to had no empathy or compassion for my situation and when I expressed my frustration with him and ultimately told him I planned to communicate via the website and other online forums about my feelings he smugly told me to use my freedom of speech and hung up the phone. I am now out $60, with no experience, and feel like I've been treated like a dispensable piece of garbage. I will NEVER give my business to puzzle out again and will specifically seek out alternative puzzle room companies to give my business to in future. I also plan to provide an in depth review of the company and how I was treated to every website I can find. Your employees should really be trained to have more compassionate toward their customers and attempt to treat people with more genuine respect.

Beautiful park situated on a corner of Hudson street in Hoboken. It is suprisingly more expansive…read morethan it looks with a few different areas to chill out in. If the park looks familiar it was in the movie On the Waterfront and to this day brings that Hoboken charm that makes the town great. There isn't really a view from here but it is a fun place to hang. They have a basketball court and other areas to enjoy and let the kids run around. At night it does seem safe but some areas in the back are a little less lit. Cool park and although it is a slightly hidden once you find it you will enjoy!

The playground with the boat play structure is for smaller kids and has some toddler swings. The dog run is in full sun. The green space/field area is mostly shaded. A reservoir path across the street that offers a dirt path around the reservoir surrounded by trees and wildlife There's a lot to enjoy in this park, lots of space for recreational activities. The reservoir path does get crowded during peak hours and some people don't really follow the "rules" posted (no fishing in reservoir or biking on path) but it's wonderful nonetheless.

I have been sending my oldest son to Miss Yvonne's swim camp for a few years. He went from a boy…read moreterrified of the water to a safe swimmer in such a short time! It only took one week the first summer and we were so pleased we signed up for a second week. During the summer of 2020, I respected that a credit could be used at a later time and was thankful that I could send my son to camp at the lake for a week during the summer given the fact everyone has to work around many rules and regulations due to covid. The location was not as convenient as Secaucus but the kids loved it. Currently, both of my children (now 7 and 3) are attending Miss Yvonne's spring break camp in Hoboken. In just 4 days, my 3 year old who would previously "sink" in the water (his words), is now swimming without a floatie! We will continue with Miss Yvonne's group lessons for him afterwards. Overall, the kids are having a blast this week--not only with swimming but jump rope, soccer, arts & crafts and science too! If you would like your child to learn how to swim, I highly recommend Miss Yvonne's swim school. If you are looking for a great camp with lots of swim instruction and fun --convenient to anyone in JC and Hoboken -- try the camp! It is worth the cost!
